The Timebuilders: Caveman's Prophecy is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very fun! I'm in the process of going back through my games (all 125+) and reviewing them. For reference, while I enjoy the occasional match 3 or hog, my preference is time management - particularly the clear the road and build kind. I just finished getting gold on all 43 levels plus bonus levels. It took me several days, and the game got progressively harder (meaning some levels took many attempts for gold) This is my favorite level of challenge! My favorite part of this particular game is that you earned tokens from each level depending on your star (bronze=5, silver=10, gold=15) with which you could buy helps in subsequent levels. But be careful, because if you have to replay a level, the helps you bought before are used up and must be repurchased. Almost all of the levels could be completed in gold time without using helps, but there were a few tricky levels that I couldn't get through without them - so use your helps wisely! I would say that this game required a bit more strategy than usual - and in the latter stages each level required several attempts just to figure out that strategy... never mind the need for speed! Things I didn't like about this game: Some of the sounds were super annoying (market guy) but kind of needed to alert you in the last few levels. Walking mummy that zapped your workers for a few seconds. I hated this guy because there was really no way to avoid him and ... well, I just hated him! Fortunately he wasn't present continually or on all levels. Storyline was boring, imho, and you could not click through the opening scenes without skipping them altogether. Graphics were acceptable, but not notewothy. I rate this game a solid 4 stars... 5 stars for level of challenge and fun, 3 stars for graphics/sound and storyline.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice and different! Sorry, but I want to say first, that my english is not really WOWI - I just leaned in school and that is a long long long time ago! This game is really nice to play - it is like "build a lot", but a little bit different and this difference is, what I like most! Such a cute idea - to pay with steaks, not money and the caves are very sweet too! Every level brings another challenge! I will buy it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Super great game for kids just getting into TM games !!! This game was probably the easiest game I've ever played on Big Fish...I think the developers did a good job enticing youngsters to give it a try...this is a perfect game for my youngest G'kids !!! The sound and music was ok and the artistry was pretty doggone good. I had a hard time with the toons chatter ... it sounded like a foreign language and I couldn't identify it or.....did I download the game in a foreign language !!! Anyways a cute little game ... but way too easy for me !!! But a perfect game for kids. Enjoy all !!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from An odd TM game This is a TM game similar to Royal Envoy, but in this one your strategy is useless because a lot of the tasks were left to chance. The deals at the "port" were hit or miss and the mystery eggs were well, a mystery. It wasn't half as much fun as other games done in this style. The graphics while detailed, were very plain and drab-colored. Overall an odd game, if you haven't played Royal Envoy I'd give it a try instead.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Middling fun The graphics and game play are relatively standard with a time objective that was never, ever possible to reach. I didn’t even try to finish in award time after about level 4 because the times were impossible. The play is somewhat fun, if rushed, and objectives change from scene to scene. However, the cavemen speak in loud gibberish that got on my nerves. Frequently. I found that after a few scenes I was done for the day and would revisit the next day. The story line was supposed to be tongue in cheek, but was simply silly enough to just be ignored. So I did not dislike the game and I did not find that it held my attention for very long. Just a middling game, but worth buying.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from too easy and unimaginative Good for children and a relaxing game. But not for me. It's too easy with too many repetitions.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Easy & Repetitive This is a good started TM game for those who have little to no experience. You are basically doing the same buildings over & over. I am more than halfway through the game & I am not going to bother finishing it, as I am bored to tears. I much prefer a challenge, even if it means I have to repeat levels & even better if there is more variety in what you are building & having to come up with a strategy *cough* (Sweet Kingdom) *cough*. That said, if you are new to this type of game, it will get you started on how these games work. I don't listen to music, so not sure if it was good or bad, nor do I follow story lines. The reason I only gave it 2 stars was that the visuals were poor to me & it was not fun or challenging enough. I am torn on recommending it. I am going to say no for most players, but for younger players or beginners, it may be a yes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fun for a child Typical time management builder. Good visuals, OK sound, but leaves alot to be desired as far as gameplay. VERY easy to beat. If you have very little skill at games of this kind you might like it.
