Echoes of the Past: The Citadels of Time is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 142.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Echoes of the Past: The Citadels of Time ~ Hours of Fun Took me over 6 hours to complete the game. Great graphics and music. So much to do and not a lot of going back and forth. Puzzles are on the easy side all the way to hard, but doable. A few "to complete items" to be used else where were new to me. I liked that. The story was different and though complete, left room for a sequel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finding time in the citadels This is quite a lengthy little gem of a game, it keeps you occupied with a good amount of challenge. My brain and I had a superb time solving the puzzles whilst enjoying the visuals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Game!! This game was beautiful in every way. My only problem with it was some of the puzzles were just too time consuming and or difficult, and had to be skipped. (which I HATE to do) I really did enjoy this game though, with it's STUNNING graphics. The hidden object portions were really interesting too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! Creative, Clever, esp HOS This mystical story line about finding the missing pieces to a clock doesn't sound too original, but the clever twists and turns keep your brain cells on alert. For instance, when I finally found the knife to cut the ropes around a chest (sound familiar) and went to use it, the knife was too dull. Huh? Wasn't expecting that. A few scenes later I came across a hidden spinning stone and sure enough, it sharpened the knife. Voila. The HOS are also creative, having to pair together items to create the object: for instance, "herbs" were made by moving a bunch of leaves over to the mortar and pistle in a corner. And my fave is when the items are separate and you have to find where they go in the picture: e.g., the bread goes in the toaster hidden behind a bowl. It's been awhile since a game held my interest like this one did. I liked the storyline of Dark Parables but couldn't take all the HOS where you mindlessly just click on metal pieces without even looking at what you are making. Thumbs up for this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Game I really enjoyed this game, the graphics were greta, the puzzles were varied and just challenging enough. The story was very engaging, I was very curious to learn every character's story. The Hound of the Baskervilles had been my favorite game, but this is right up there. So far it is the best in The Echoes of the Past series. Great fun

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Must-Buy Game!! This game can be summed up in one word: Awesome. Here are my thoughts: Good Parts: Thrilling storylne, with a fantasy element making it even more interesting. Quickly recharging hint and skip. Interactive hidden objects Nearly every item had an immediate use, so my inventroy didn't get full OK Parts: The Puzzles- some were quite easy and yet others were really hard and were the reason the skip button was invented. Bad Parts: If there's anything bad about this game it would be the misplaced objects thing. It annoyed me and the majority of the time I couldn't figure out what to do. Overall, this is yet another amazing hidden object game. I'm sure you'll love it, as I did and I can't wait to try out more Echoes of the Past games!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a great innovate game outside the pack This was one of the most fun IHO I've played in a long time. The mix of HO scenes with having to search for items and to put things together or solve mini games was just right. It was a challenge all the way without ever being overwhelming nor boring. The story line flowed nicely and to judge by the end we can hope for another sequel. This is the third installement and with every one the developer went a step further and beyond. I wonder how they can beat their own high margins, but will believe in their genius and creativity. Also, for once, though the graphics were very real and nice, my fan didn't go wild, as often seems to be the downside of nifty graphics. I am sure most other reviewers said more about detail aspects of this game, so all I want to add is: it was so worth the money and time = very relaxing and greatly fun. I cannot see anybody regretting giving this a try, other than if they don't like hidden object or adventure type games. Ah, yes, and it was very atmospheric and achieved that without any creep, which other developers seem to think is a requirement for creating a vibe. It was so real that in a number of scenes I found myself wiping a little bug off my screen ;) Some super enjoyable hours were had down here in Cape Town. Thanks a mill to developer and BFG Sabine

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best game in a long time! First, I want to start off with my favorite mini-game, it was definitely painting the stained glass. I wish I could have painted more! Had to put my thinking cap on. Second, I played this game for hours so it was well worth the money spent. I loved the storyline with the different characters. The hidden object scenes, in my opinion, were pretty easy. The mini-games were quite a challenge. Some I have never done before. Well done! Third, the music was ok, but the visual was great. Really sucked me in. I wouldn't share the computer because I was so determined on finishing this game. Still took me a period of 2 days. :) The only downer of this game was traveling back and forth so much and I usually don't mind that. But by the time I found some of the items, I couldn't remember what to do with them! Thank goodness the hint recharges quickly! I loved this game, prob my new fave! Until I play something else...lol

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good long game - beautiful and not gory I chose this game based on a 'Games you might like' suggestion. I am really enjoying it. It's a nice break from the overly gory HO games that I've seemed to fall into lately. Pluses - long play, some tougher mini-games and good coloring throughout. Minuses - none so far.
