Rated 5 out of 5 by from What an awsome game! The artwork was great! The story was creepy and kept me wondering. I was hoping for the scary guys to show up more often, but the game play made up for that. WOW, this game really impressed me, especially for the time it was released. I am looking forward to playing the next two releases.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A golden oldie that's way better than most new games After playing Weird Park: Scary Tales, I didn't hesitate to buy the CE of Broken Tunes. As with Scary Tales, I was hooked from the title screen. I love the crisp, colorful, gorgeous artwork and the clever gameplay, with surprises that seem to greet you in nearly every new scene. Watch carefully as you click -- you don't want to miss a thing! As a kid (many long years ago), I never liked circuses or carnivals, but I LOVE these Weird Park games. The little carnival-related tasks are great fun, and everything is in keeping with the theme and storyline. Even the HO scenes are fun. I generally dislike HO scenes but I liked these and was perfectly content to revisit the same scenes multiple times -- it was rewarding to remember where you saw things before and find them quickly. And they're "real" -- actual close-ups of the location you're in. Even with my poor eyesight, I had no problem finding things. That doesn't mean things were not well hidden, they were CLEVERLY hidden. Nothing tiny or fuzzy. What I liked best was the originality and overall cleverness throughout the game. Loved it when something you did it one location had an effect elsewhere -- made it really exciting to go see what happened! This game was full of amazing surprises, and was NEVER tedious, even when you had to go back a few scenes, and it was easy to move around. No map needed. There are so many good things I would like say about this game, but I hope that you will buy this game and discover all of the delightful scenes and surprises for yourself. DO buy the CE -- the Bonus Chapter is quite lengthy and maintains the level of quality of the main game. It is worth it, despite the fact that there really are no extras other than concept art, which was interesting but not a big deal. I don't care a whit for achievements, and can do without morphs and collectibles, so a good BC is enough for me. The two Weird Park games are without a doubt my all-time favorites. My only very minor criticisms (just a tiny point off the 5th star) are that the endings of both the main game and bonus game were somewhat abrupt, the music was repetitious, and the text in the HO lists was pretty small. From now on, it will take a truly exceptional game for me to rate it 5 stars. These games set a whole new standard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun Stuff I'm not Clownin', this is good! The graphics, artwork and colors are clear and vivid. Very nice! The sound/music are perfect for the setting. Most puzzles aren't too hard and they never got boring. You'll go back to the same HOS many times#3-4# which I thought was cool. As I study the scenes I get to know the objects so each time back gets easier which is a good change of pace. Not that I'm trying to hurry through the game. It's a long game. And just when you think you're near the end... it gets weird, haha. The parallel dimension theme park was very clever. I enjoyed the game all the way through. I was hoping for a cut scene at the end of how all the "little" people became dolls. But ya know.... I don't blame Clown Boy for going off the way he did. People can just be rude and disrespectful of a guys livelihood. I'd like to see them try to ride a unicycle on the highwire while juggling, cmon! Great Game

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best use of 3D I've seen in a casual game The first part of the game takes place in an abandoned amusement park and the second part takes place in a twisted dreamworld--two of my favourite settings! The artwork is really beautiful and there was a lot of great character 3D animation and short animated scenes. Using 3D usually means lower resolution textures that don't look as good, but they struck a good balance in this game of integrating the 3D models into each scene so that they didn't have that unnatural shiny look you get sometimes. There were some really creative visuals used in the dream world. I especially liked the beehive that was surrounded by paper cut outs of bees drawn with coloured pencils suspended from the sky by strings. The clocks that looked like they were melting were also great. The hidden object scenes and puzzles were on the easy side (although they looked gorgeous). I almost took a star away for this reason, but they were fun despite being easy so I decided against it. This is also a more linear game than most iHOGs. You have only 3-4 possible actions (e.g. doing a puzzle or using an inventory item) you can take at any given time, compared to about 10-15 in most other recent iHOGs. I was concerned at first about game length because I was collecting pieces of the broken record very quickly. It turns out that was only half the game, though, and the game length was good. The bonus content was also of good length and set entirely in the dream world (which I really enjoyed) and it made it worth it for me to get the CE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Game!! Had to stop halfway through to share what a joy this game is. If you loved Dreamland then you will most certainly LOVE this brilliant HOG/ADVENTURE...brilliant graphics, fantastic spooky music with a superb storyline thrown in...Hint button will tell you where to go next if you're stuck for what to do. The only negative thing i'd say about this (and i really am picking) is the strategy guide could've been better presented. Overall, not to be missed, absolute joy to play.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nothing like an abandoned amusement park as location for a horror story I love twisted and creepy games, and this is probably one of my favs. PROs: The atmosphere given by the graphics/soundrack is outstanding. CONs: Not suitable of those with fear of clowns.
