Monument Builders: Titanic is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from If You Love Time Management Games, You'll Like This I started out disliking the "pressure" of time management games, but after a few years of HOs and mahjong, I gave them a try and of course, I'm hooked. This one is really good - it builds on each level to teach you how to do the tasks required to build the Titanic. Between each level are facts about the building of the ship and her sister ship, the Olympic. It makes you realize how much time and work went into the building of the Titanic, and how in one night, thousands of lives and years of work sank to the bottom of the sea. I usually play with sound off so as not to disturb others, but am so glad I tried this early in the day. The music is traditional Irish and very lovely. This helps make up for what I think are some of the most drab and boring graphics I've seen in a game. You really have to love time management to play this game because the graphics almost made me uninstall at first. In addition. the facts often lack punctuation and spacing at points so wordsruntogether, which is sloppy and annoying. It seems an easy fix to space and spell correctly yet so many games disregard that quality check. A game is so dependent on its visual qualities, and the style of this one almost ruined it. I'm not asking for cartoon graphics, but a bit of color and fun would have helped. After all, it is a game and not a realism exercise. That big criticism aside, I think it is an interesting game and one I would like to buy only for the game play.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from no sinking here Liked this one better than the first one. Loved the music.it gets challenging pretty fast. Click on the carts and send them to their destination. Repair roads, chop down trees (they do come back) build sawmills etc to keep the supply and demand going all in the style of long gone times.even learn some historical facts about the titanic and the time it was build in. I like TMgames but I am not sure this one is for me despite the good review.Things are a bit small and sometimes hard to tell apart.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just like Monument Builders: Eiffel Tower For starters, I normally turn off the music on games because they're so irritating. This one stays true to its' Irish roots by playing music from that era, so I really liked it and actually increased the volume. Other than constructing a different object, it's exactly the same as the first game, but it's fun to read the little factoids about how the Titanic came to be, and is appropriate since we're close to the 100th anniversary of the sinking. You're chopping down trees, building scaffolds, directing traffic, repaving roads, etc. It's just a pleasant game, and I knew I was going to buy it even before I played the demo.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from love the factoids This is basically the same as Eiffel Tower but it seems as if the characters are smaller. Or is that just me? I love the little factoids at the beginning of each level. I've only played the demo so far but I'm looking forward to getting to the later levels (bought it and downloading the full game right now). I like the way each level builds on the last so there isn't a huge jump in speeding up your thinking time or mouse clicks like there is in some of the TM games. I think I preferred the graphics of Eiffel Tower. They seemed clearer and less cluttered to me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Monument Builders: Titanic A Fast Paced Game This is my first time management game. So I can not compare it to anything else. I have to say I like it. Very creative. It keep me alert. The tasks keeps you real busy. I was lost for awhile then caught on to the game concept. I can see why so many people get hooked on this type of game. It really keeps you thinking and motor skills tuned.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Titanic resurrected fun game, good tips on historical events. I only wish this game had -no timing- button as a handicapped person my reactions are to slow and getting the golden cups is impossible.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from HMM I did like this game; it is refreshing to see a time management. What I hate is it is not a full screen game like the last one. (I have a wide screen monitor so maybe that is it) If possible, it seems the workers are smaller. (HMM) Over all I think it is a purchase for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from If you can ignore the annoying americanisms Being Belfast born and bred I was annoyed that within seconds of playing the game I spied words like 'fall' for Autumn, 'naval yard' instead of ship yard' and 'ocean liner' instead of ship or boat. This was clearly made by a company that didn't care about the putting Americanisms into the game where it had no place. I didn't expect it be very accurate but it was nearly offensive at how blatant they ignored the true roots of the Titanic and where it was built. If you ignore that, is it a good game. Good pace and good game-play. I did enjoy it once I got over the initial rage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exactly like all the others This game is exactly like all the others in the series, from the building, to the gathering, to the recruiting, everything is the same. The only difference of course is the 'history' lesson. In that this is about the Titanic. The information is good and as it is 'bite-size' chunks it is accessible to all. If you like the others in this series then you will be 'right at home' if on the other-hand you found them tedious and boring then this isn't the game for you. Alternatively if you just want to know about the Titanic and how it was built, then this is better then any 'boring' history book (IMHO)! It is worth noting though that soundtrack is good and reflects the country where the Titanic was built (Belfast, Ireland) and as such a suitable Irish Jig was playing in the background, this was not unpleasant and I even turned my volume up slightly as it was (for me) very pleasing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Titanic Building Game Challenges progressed well. Once one got used to the hang of things, getting the gold star was repeatable. But it does take some getting used to.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from could have had more levels the end came much too quick, only 4 hours to play and just finished.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Many glitches, but still some fun in this game This is not my first time management game (admitting that I am not at my best in these games), but I found it rather difficult to play. Many people have mentioned the problems with repetitive clicking and I agree that it is arduous. Some of the later games from the same developer let you knock out the thieves with seven clicks; this game takes twenty! I know, because I counted them. Deciding which roads to keep and which to destroy is part of the fun. Luckily, you can repeat levels once you figure out the best way to approach them. The storyline is rather familiar (who hasn't heard of the Titanic disaster?), but it is not presented in an orderly fashion. It would make more sense to have the timeline proceed more naturally, but it jumps all over the place. I experienced several crashes where the screen froze just as I was about to finish a level. Really irritating! Also, at the end of the last section, the screen inside the "frame" went black and there was no acknowledgement that the game was done. Play the game, but know that it is not a perfect one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from An OK Game I'm 50-50 on this game. There were some things I liked and some I did not. Good Parts: Similar to Build-A-lot A Great Challenge Great Education Tool- gave you information about the Titanic. OK Parts: The Storyline- follow the path to building the Titanic. This would have been better if there had been real voices. Graphics- kind of out-dated. Some time should be put in these to improve them. Bad Parts: Very annoying, repetitive music that just drove me INSANE. I played the game on mute. Could never get enough resources to get jobs done. The game in general was not fun and I can't see any reason to buy this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too much investment In general I like the Monument Builder games, but this one is painful! Each level has a little trick to figure out - where to put the bank or sawmill, et cetera; but once you do that it is just mindless repetition. Buy iron, deliver iron, buy iron, deliver iron, buy iron, deliver iron -- build beams -- repeat ad nauseum. Nope, I can't recommend it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad graphics, boring I enjoyed the Alcatraz version of this series, so I bought this (without playing a trial version). I don't have the most exacting standards for frilly little time-passing online games, but this was pretty awful. I can tolerate glitchy little things if the entertainment value is good. But, I couldn't even tell what resources were needed because the graphics are too blurry. Sometimes in these games, you have to learn the components of the game before you get into the interesting parts. I was too annoyed to get to the interesting part, if it ever was to come. There were also too many flashing arrows and too much totally unnecessary clicking required to get to the next level. Wouldn't recommend it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Boring. I was disappointed in this game because it has the same tasks for every level. The only thing that changes is the quantity.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Same as the last. I really enjoyed Monument Builders Eiffel Tower & was looking forward to this one, but, and this is a BIG but....it is basically the exact same game. If you have already purchased Eiffel, then this would be a waste of your money. The only things different I can see after finishing the trial is different theme : Ship instead of Tower. Music: English instead of French. If you have NOT played the first game then by all means give it a go, it is a lot of fun and though there is a lot of "clicking" it takes a while to strategize about the "best" way to get things done..I am just really dissappointed in the developers for not challenging us with something new instead of the same game dressed up in new clothes. I gave it 2 stars only because it has been done before. I would have given it 4 stars if I had never played the first in this series.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Zzzzzzzz... Liked the music...can't say anything better than that. No challenge...you could just click your mouse repeatedly as you go over your screen and you'll complete the level without even knowing quite what or how you managed to accomplish it. In other words, I found you didn't have to think...just click!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's still gonna sink!! Can't see going thru all the time and effort to build the Titanic when we already know what will happen on its maiden voyage!! All kidding aside, this TM will please some and bore others. To me all TM games are basically the same pair of shoes with just a different color. I'm happy for the players who will enjoy it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from a GRUELING and DANGEROUS GAME for your physical health! To be honest, thirty-eight levels of the first four parts to this game were exciting and musical and pleasant and fun! Especially, I LOVED catching the thieves and I enjoyed the creative challenge of how to approach each individual set of difficulties for new steps. Two of the others (Part 3, Level 6 and Part 4, Level 10) were excruciatingly repetitive and arduous to the point of tears. Then, this afternoon, I began Part 5, Level 2 at 1:00 and by 4:30, I was still trying to click my way to delivering 200 scaffolds and 200 metal beams for the virtual Titanic. MY hand was hurting and I said to myself, "People have a LIFE...surely I can exit this game and the three and a half hours I have put into this level will be saved!" Well, it turns out the developers did not build this into the game and worse: it appears they have not heard of carpal tunnel problems that can arise from hours and hours of clicking on the same few virtual spots!!! I guess this was a test of stupidity-endurance but in fact, it was pointless and laborious and totally without regard to wrist-safety. Now, I'm too disgusted to continue and will never know how all my many days devoted to what I hoped would be fair play culminate in the game's finale and certainly, when I had earlier planned on buying the set of "Eiffel Tower" and "Statue of Liberty" Monument Builders games, umm....THAT WON'T BE HAPPENING NOW. [Yeah, I am mad atm!]
