Girls with Secrets is rated 2.2 out of 5 by 41.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Girls With Secrets The graphics were very nice and I liked the popping sound when I found an object. The scenes repeat quite a bit. Objects were not too hard and not too easy to fnd. It was quite obvious early on who the murderer was. I would have liked some environmental sound effects instead of just music. That would have nudged my score up a bit.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Awful editing Okay, well the story wasn't so bad, but the editing was terrible. Some of the objects were mis-named!!!! Golf Crose? Whaaa? And Cake Jar? Please! Maybe when translating into English they should consult and English dictionary.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just hidden object! I don't like to give bad reviews but unfortunately this game is flat boring. I love to play hidden object games but this is all you get from each click. Graphics are pretty bad, the storyline is awful and the worst bit of all was I had to install Microsoft NET on my computer which you are not pre-warned about. Beware if you do purchase this game to un-click the box that wants to set your search engine browser.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Girls with problems Many spelling mistakes. Example - Scisors should be scissors, peper should be pepper, dices should be dice (one is die, 2 are dice), acvarium should be aquarium, barell should be barrel, duspan should be dustpan, harpe should be harp, and the coffee pack was spelt cofee (where's the 2nd f? on the pack. And - what is a pint? Pint of what? Pint is a measurement, not a container unless you're talking about a pint bottle, pint glass. When I found it, it was a tankard (or a mug) Also, what is a golf crose? Again, when I found it, it was a golf club. Maybe you should think about doing some proof-reading and use the spell-check? If you had used the spell-check you would have found out it's an antenna, not an antena. And since when has a bird house been called a bird box? A box is used for storage or carrying an item, not a living space for any kind of creature. These errors were found within the first 60 minutes. How many more are there to be found in the game? Personally I think this game should be withdrawn and completely revamped before it is offered for sale again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Seriously? This was obviously written by someone who was new to the English language and spelling. Not only do you have to find the hidden objects, you have to figure out what "hoodie pice" means. Or "hard cap". Or candy floss. Or tons of other confusing stuff. And the story line is ridiculous.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from low file size game with higher quality graphics... That means there's not much else. No voiceovers, and no variation. It's hidden object all the way though. What's confusing is the chapter layout: Some chapters there is no dialogue after several scenes. Others, there's dialogue after four or five scenes in a row. If you REALLY must play this, use a free coupon; don't spend money on this. I really hate giving bad reviews, but the rest of the reviews here seem to confirm what I have written.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Horrible game! This game's graphics were bad, there was no storyline, nothing grabbed me. Definitely not up to normal BFG standards!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Straight boring HOG! This is boring! There's no enough storyline too much straight HOG just find the list of items and thats is it. I like more interactions with my HOG's. Also the comic book like graphics are not impressing. I didn't finish demo.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not fun at all This game presented no challenges whatsoever. The graphics were okay. The grammar was horrible! Don't they spellcheck these games before putting them on the market? Anyway, I did not like this game at all.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No Challenge . . . Boring With some of the positive reviews, I thought that I would enjoy playing a game that was mostly hidden object scenes, but, this game was very disappointing. Yes, lots of scenes, but the graphics are not that great. There are 15 or so objects to find in each scene and that basically the game. I only played 20 minutes, so if there is more to the game, I failed to see it. The music is also annoying. Storyline, starts out great, but after presenting the story, you just go from room to room to find objects. Deleted after 20 minutes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wish I played something else Girls with Secrets left only disappointing impressions. I love playing straight HOGs, but this one puts off after a couple of clicks. I lost my interest from the 27th minute of the demo. I am surprised I managed to hold on for such a long time))) Well, seriously, there’s a lot of room for development and improvement. Without going into overwhelming details, poor graphics (have never seen such for a long time on BFG), slow game mechanics (is there any proper game mechanics? the hint refreshes so slow), HOS are junkpile and because of the poor game translation it takes you time to understand what actually you have to find. I wish I had spent my time with another game…

Rated 2 out of 5 by from If you want a good or challenging game keep looking but . . . . . .if you want a bunch of junkpiled HOS's interspersed with a couple of unoriginal minigames, this is the game for you. All we have is HOS after HOS with a minigame thrown in occasionally. There is no explanation for the mini's but that doesn't matter as the two I found were completely unoriginal. The HOS's look like photographs in their clarity and color but they are junkpiled and so small as to make it hard to find things. You do have to look carefully though because if you use the hint button it takes two minutes to recharge in casual mode. The music is repetitive and matches the game-dull. There is a backstory because a cartoon drawn character relates it but nothing in the game connects the story to the gameplay from what I could tell. At one point we're told that so and so is dating so and so and we are supposed to know by photos found except that there were no photos found. This dialogue appeared after a series of junkpiled HOS's and that's how the story unfolds. I played 22 minutes of the demo-about 16 HOS's and 2 minigames-and that was all I could take. Sometimes I like a straight HOG for relaxing but this isn't one of them. My suggestion is don't waste your money or time. There are other straight HOG's much better than this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Girls With Secrets Will Have to Remain With Secrets Hey Big Fish Cut This Off I usually do reviews on the whole game unless I'm not buying which happens to be the case here so this is based on the 1 hour trial time. Story: You are out to find out who killed Amy the most popular teenage girl in the class. Chapters: Since there is no walk through (not needed) I'm not sure but I completed almost 2 chapters during the trial time. 2 play modes - The only difference is the easy mode takes 2 minutes and the classic mode is 3 minutes for charge up. There are no sparkles to this game. I usually play a harder mode in games but for this game I played the easy mode since the only difference was charge up of the hint/skip. There is a note pad down at the bottom along with a compass which is the map. No voice overs HOS (hidden object scenes): A total of 17 scenes and I completed 15 of them in the hour. All found by word list. They're not Sanford & Son junkyard as I located most pretty easily however a few are really tiny and/or blended into the scene. Also a few I had to click just so for it to recognize my clicking on it taking 2 to 3 times for it to register or sometimes even having to use the hint. There is no inventory or 'wandering around" at all to this game at least what I've played of it. Puzzles: I only came across 3 during the demo time: Rearrange the wine glasses/books to reach a metal box, switch on the lights in the correct order, and a lock picking. There's also achievements. My overall impression: I usually don't mind games with a lot of HOS overall for the game but I do like some variety as well. To give you an idea though of how much "variety" this game has well if you've ever played the Mystery PI games well there's a lot more going on in those than this game here. I also like to play the Mystery PI games every once in a while when I want a break from harder games. The characters did pop up a few times throughout the trial but not a whole lot of "story" in my opinion just off on another mission to search for items. The music also grated on my last nerve as it must only change when you get to a new chapter cause if you are in a chapter its the same music for that chapter. Just goes in a loop. As for the map while it's not needed at least for the hour I played this game nor did I use it but I did check it out. If you do click on the map well it will bring up a box and tell you that you will lose the progress you've already completed? I'm inserting that alien emoticon from the Big Fish pond here! What? I've never read such nonsense in all the games I've ever played such as this. Why would you lose your progress? Sorry but that's absurd. I also never earned any "achievements" during the trial and I must say with other games I've played while I didn't earn them all but at least earned a few of them or sometimes even most of them. Even the Mystery PI games you earn points and achievements. Now this game here just might get more exciting after the hour demo but I'm sorry to report but this is definitely a no go for me and gets the 1 star stop madness, cut off, and pull the plug rating as I'm not paying $6.99, using a game club credit or punch code coupon to find out. Truth be told well I wouldn't finish this game for free as this would cure insomnia. Sorry Big Fish and developer but this game is dreadful and needs to go back to the drawing board and spiced up here just a bit as I didn't have a problem with the story line itself even though yes it's been done before but this game needs more variety and story telling to it. As always, give it a whirl and decide for yourself.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Boring- Dont bother Very disappointed. With all the games out there mixing HO and Strategy or TM, I am surprised anyone would bother with plaing hidden object. There was a little game in it but too far and few between. A lot of cluttered rooms looking for useless items.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Girls With Secrets It's no secret, this game is horrible! At least have someone look over the game before releasing it to check for spelling errors! A few errors I can forgive, but someone must have been in a hurry to release this game. To be quite honest it wouldn't really matter because the game itself is just too boring. It's about the murder of Amy, the most popular girl in school. When the police are unable to find her murderer, Amy's BFF decides to solve the case on her own, and uncovers more than she bargained for because the entire town seems to have many secrets. This is a pure and simple seek and find game with a handful of puzzle thrown in for good measure. Gamers, keep searching, this is not the game for you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I'd like to know how it turns out but the demo lost me. I never intended to buy this game after viewing the preview and reading the reviews, but the title intrigued me enough to want to play the demo. My first recommendation to NOT buy is because you'll lose your progress if you switch scenes during an HO search. Why should you be punished for leaving a scene to work on another one? I've never played a game yet where you couldn't switch between HO scenes while finding the items that are left on your list. Why should you have to start over again with all new items? When I'd rather not use a hint, I like to investigate other scenes and come back with "fresh eyes" where I'm likely to find the item the next time. This is absurd gameplaying and does nothing to make it challenging or to improve the already stagnant storyline. The cartoonish graphics didn't bother me as much as the poor grammar and spelling mistakes that randomly occurred during the demo hour, so this turned me off for good. I struggled through the free trial so I could write a fair review but I was glad when it was over.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This girl can keep her secrets - I don't want them! An absolute waste of time! No story, no challenge, no fun - just one screen after another where you had to find objects that had nothing to do with anything at all! Whoever designed this 'game' obviously needs to look at other games to see how it CAN be done! To sum up----- C**P!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is a terrible game This game was the most boring and poorly put together piece of junk I have ever seen. I can't count the number of misspellings and misidentified items in this game. I spent a long time looking for a "cake jar", I even tried clicking on the cookie jar thinking they had made a mistake..they had but when I clicked on the cookie jar it didn't go away so I kept looking until I used the hint and lo and behold, cookie jar! Something I had never seen before were puzzles without any instructions, nada, none. What? Did they forget to put them in? Was it too much trouble? I know they will never publish it but I wrote the company about how terrible this game was and I hope they take heed because for myself, I will avoid playing any games by them. Save your self the money and the aggravation. DON"T buy it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Example of a Game This game is horrible. When you click on an object it doesn't work. It is bad when the objects are not even spelled correctly. It was suppose to be a mystery solver but the dialog doesn't match the screens.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Girls with secrets This is 98% hidden object and 2% weak story. In general the game was ok to play once you get past the numerous spelling errors. It seems obvious the game either was translated from another language other than English or the creators did not write English well and no one did a word edit. Some of the objects actually were written in another language and luckily I can speak multiple languages so I knew what was being asked. (ananas = pineapple) Among the numerous spelling errors were also the confusing words in the list. a T-square was a ruler, Oxyfen cylinder was an oxygen tank, a hard cap was a hard hat, napkins were tissues (kleenex), Each hidden object had to be clicked in one exact spot. I spent much time clicking an object in various places before it would be picked up. Sometimes I thought I could not find it and after hitting hint, low and behold it was an item I had already clicked on but apparently not in the exact spot needed. In spite of all the errors I actually did not mind playing the game. If you are looking for a story then this game is not for you. If you like un-ending hidden object scenes, then this is for you. I give it one star.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wouldn't recommend this at all I don't usually review games unless they are really really great or really really bad. This one was pretty bad. It was a repetitive HO game and had a couple puzzles thrown in. Neither were very challenging. The music was also repetitive. I was also annoyed when I had to click an object several times in order to check it off the list. Once I had to use the hint button because it wouldn't register that I had clicked it. Not fun. The story was mediocre and not very interesting and if this girl is proposing a murder because so-and-so was dating so-and-so, uh-uh. I normally will finish the demo, but this time I couldn't continue. I'd like those nineteen minutes of my life back please.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 5 yr game this is the worst game i have ever played if i would have played the trial i would have never ever bought it, but the description makes it interesting, but boy is that not so true it truly stinks for a hidden object game my 5 yr granddaughter could play this with ease. and that my friends is a very bad omen for a game for adults, hidden object games are my passion, if you want to be nice big fish you could give my game credit back for this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Girls With Secrets 1) Poor graphics, static and repetitive scenes and even objects to find! 2) Nonsense and illogical objects, eg, finding a squirrel! Why? It would tell u what happened, made a nice pet, kept your lawn clean? 3) Every scene is permeated with lots of objects much like a rubbish dump, do people, museums (Forbid), just dump their things that way? Objects are just simply flung all over the scenes and given to this HOS game, just for the sake of making it HOS 4) Static characters and instead of voice over was just text 5) Last but not least, the game requires u to install .Net 4, (which I had already installed, so it skipped, but the install was for an earlier version), Direct X (which it skipped, coz I got Direct X 11). The game CANNOT work with higher version of these applications installed and will return HOG...exe not working error! Girls with Secrets could be renamed Developers without Design Ideas. Those who love straight HOS may find it ok, since it had lots of HOS (repetitive in natures, eg, museum, bar entrance was repeated at least 2-3x during my 1 hr trial). And try not to play or install this game on a machine with the latest updates to software. Remember its a very very old version of HOS (possibly frozen since dinosaur age), that developers had released, thus a dinosaur age PC will work better

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the worst game but it's up there... This game was very strange. It was suitable for older children and pre-teens as it was not very challenging at all. The real challenge was in finding the objects that had been mislabeled by the creators (who clearly had a less than stellar command of the English language.) When the objects weren't mislabeled they were super easy to find. But, the mini games had no explanation of how to play them so you were forced to guess what you were supposed to do. I wound up skipping most if not all of them because I was seriously getting a headache. The storyline was confusing and didn't really flow. I guess if you got this game for free or super cheap, you couldn't throw a rock. If you wanted to waste a couple hours (or less) then I give it a tepid okay. Otherwise, skip it.
