Natural Threat 2 is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Standard Edition game I'm not a fan of the mutant plant theme, but this game was very nicely done. Really good mix of puzzles and hidden objects. Plenty to do- it took me longer to play this game than some of the collector's editions. The difficulty was perfect for me, playing in expert mode. Excellent value for a standard edition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Natural Threat 2 Great squeal loved the graphics along with the eerie music which had me on edge at times... Some puzzles were a challenge as there wasn't a walk through out so i must admit i relied on the hint button more than i should have.. None the less i truly enjoyed this game, hope they make another squeal! Thanks very much Bigfish:)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't miss out! I almost did! I found the game on accident and decided to give it a go, I'm very pleased that I did! I had played the first game and enjoyed it as well. This game is worth the price of admission and very entertaining. I'll be fair, it's not the best game I've ever played, but I loved the graphics, storyline and puzzles. Try it you might like it too!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Natural Threat 2 A very good idea for storyline - just my kind of thing. There are no ghosts or any other sort of supernatural events, like 85% of other games, which is very refreshing. It's science fiction through and through. I definitely recommend this game and I really hope there'll be a number 3 soon. Could do with an interactive map though and maybe a strategy guide.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MMM Birthday Cake with prickly mutant vines.... ....my favorite type!.... bwahaahaa. Haven't finished the game, but had to stop to write a quick review since I saw SO many negatives... to me, this is a REALLY COOL GAME; it caught me right up immediately. It's quite different and great mix of intriguing storyline; one that sort of immerses you immediately because it starts as an ordinary day and then......!? I absolutely love games that are 'outside of the box' and imaginative with something a bit unordinary to offer and this one offers a lot of that IMO. A mix of theme, puzzle, action, interactive adventure, HOG.... and beautiful graphics, both static and cut scene... truly amazing thus far. Won't be for everyone, but some will love it. I do!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love Butterflies! This game has received less than positive reviews,so I am going to give it 5 stars! It is a great game. It kind of reminds of one those SYFY movies you can't stop watching, wondering, what if? what if plants came and took over the city. This was fun all the way.Who knew butterflies could help save the day.Play this game. It is worth at least, a free coupon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Haven't finished the demo but knew I had to buy this. Special effects are really cool, especially after all the boring stuff from Big Fish lately. Simple sort of but really fun and entertaining.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Despite glitches, still a worthy game Notwithstanding some fairly serious glitches (listed later in this review), I still recommend this game because of some outstanding features. The graphics, both still and video, were really excellent. The attention to detail (minus the glitches) was also excellent and made me smile - for example, in the HOS's, when you combined two objects to create a third, you would get an appropriate sound effect or a little movement to reward you. The sound effects were also great and the music fit the gameplay and was not annoying. I usually just suffer through the HOS's but this game did a great job with them. About a third of the listed objects in each scene were interactive and they were not ridiculously hard to find, with very few exceptions. Also, which is a HUGE plus for me, when you re-visited a HOS, the items you had already found were not there anymore. The plot was about as good as you usually get and the length was good. There was no map or strategy guide but you didn't really need it as play was confined to at most five scenes at a time and the hint (which functioned flawlessly for me) gave you all the help you needed. The mini-games were about average - some were new, some were old, some were completely incomprehensible - but you could skip them. As for the glitches, these were the ones I ran into - other people have reported finding others. In two of the HOS's, an item you needed to find was not actually listed, it was replaced by a blank box. The first time I freaked out because I thought I had run into one of the game-ending problems others had reported - but no, all I had to do was click on Hint, it showed the missing item, I clicked on it and I was done with the scene. Another problem was that part of one game was inaccessible because the instruction box was in the way, but if you put it on full screen mode and looked at the diary, you could then access it if you were quick. Finally, one time it closed on me with an error code, but when I restarted I found that it had lost no progress and I just proceeded with the game. There was one other issue which might really bother some people. The actions that you had to perform were sometimes completely nonsensical, even more so than usual in this type of game. I have sort of gotten used to this and I don't really mind that much anymore, but it was really pretty extreme in this game, I really had to shake my head a bunch of times. Without the glitches and the at times nonsensical game-play, this would have been a solid 5-star game. I hope the developers do some thorough testing next time so everybody will be able to play and enjoy their next effort.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What A Riveting Story - Liked It - Review Of Completed Game This is a Sci-Fi story. You take on the role of Iris and must save your daughter Lily, husband and the city from the mutated plants that have sprung up and taken over. 2 play modes: I played Expert mode. The hint/skip take a couple of minutes for charge up and the hint is directional outside of HOS. There are some black bar tips however some things don't have them and there are NO sparkles on anything. This also has a click penalty where the game will "freeze up" for a couple of minutes. JOURNAL: Holds some story, notes, and a few puzzle clues. There is widescreen at least for me. No problem here. There is voice overs There is no map. HOS: Found by word list and slightly interactive and definitely on the Sanford & Son junkyard pile side. You also visit each scene twice but you're not doing them one right after the other. There were a couple of scenes where a couple of items were barely visible and this is where I encountered the "click penalty." Other than that no problems here. I also enjoyed decorating Lily's birthday cake. I thought that was fun. I see some didn't much care for this. I mean after all it is her birthday! LOL! PUZZLES: The usual run of the mill found in many games. There are many of them once you get more into the game. I didn't come across anything new here. I'm not a fan of these but most I found pretty easy. Skipped a couple of them. OVERALL IMPRESSION: If you haven't played the first in this series which is Natural Threat: Ominous Shores I don't think it's necessary as this game stands alone on it's own. Granted I only played 1/2 hour of that game as I just couldn't get into it but I didn't feel like I was missing anything not playing that to completion. I will say I was hesitant to download this and play since I wasn't that impressed with the first one in this series but I was pleasantly surprised especially since I'm not really a fan of the mutated plant theme but thought I'd give it a whirl anyway. I was hooked to this right from the get go and held my interest to the very end. I didn't stop playing until I got to the end. The story to me is definitely far fetched and "out there" but I liked it. The opening cut scene is what really drew me into the game. The graphics while they may be outdated to some but I thought they were very clear and nicely drawn outside of a couple of HOS as those could of been more clear. Definitely eerie. What I really liked about this game was the sounds. This I found to be very intense. The screams as they sounded so real especially in the early cut scenes of this game. I also liked the balance of HOS, puzzles, and traveling back/forth. At first inventory used pretty much right away but once I got more into the game there is some back/forth to this game especially towards the end as you have to go back several scenes to do stuff. I just found this a lot to do and places to go. As for the game length this was about 5 hours for me. May be more/less for you. Overall a 4 stars from me. I really liked this game but I knocked it down a star as I didn't like the click penalty as it will freeze up the game for about a couple of minutes and the inventory bar got in the way when trying to go back to a previous scene in the game as I didn't come across anyway to lock/unlock it. I also thought all black bar tips should not of been there on Expert mode. Thanks Big Fish and developer for a very good game here. This was sure good use of my punch card coupon code but please stop the madness on the black bar tips and especially the click penalty. Sorry but I don't get the purpose of the click penalty?? As always, give it a whirl and decide for yourself.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brilliant Story I love the old SY-FI films, you know where some mad scientist or meteorite causes some giant plant or animal to mutate and start attacking our world. That is how our story begins as we take on the adventure of Iris, who dicovers her city over-run by giant mutated plants that are munching on anything that gets in their way. It is up to you to find family and save the day. From one of my favorite developers that got me hooked on HOPA games way back when they first came out, Natural Threat offers good sharp graphics, art-work that is wonderful with vivid colors and plenty of drama with the music. With only two modes of play, you have only a journal that belongs to Iris to keep track of events. Not eactly sophistacated when compared to many of our recent games but certainly offers great fun and entertainment. With a solid story, gameplay offers plenty of adventure mixed with a generous amount of Hidden object scenes that are junk-piled and interactive. I love some of the mini-games, especially the first HO scenes where you need to decorate the birthday cake with items you need to find. There is a bit too much hand holding with the black bar tips and HO scenes are rather challeng, ing as items are either too small or well hidden but other than that, I am big fan of these adventure games and look forward to spending this evening with this well done SE game.
