Legends of the East: The Cobra's Eye is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a wonderful SE that lasted like a CE I absolutely loved this game. There were so many puzzles and HOS and without all the distractions of morphing objects and collectibles that fills so many CEs. The storyline was great. There were so many locations and things to do all the way to the end. I used a punch card credit to purchase this because I played another game by this DEV and loved it so much I googled the dev to find more games by them. You cannot go wrong on this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ***20 HOPS*** Lots of puzzles***Very relaxing***Constantly interesting*** (Game available at BFG since 2013) I really liked this game! It only got better the more I played it. There were unexpected surprises, especially with the locations, like the chapel, and caves and caves and more underground caves!… Lots of clever angles to create depth and perspectives. Fun. Start off at port. Stormy looking clouds, on a moonlit night. Your significant other broke it off with you a year ago, and now you’ve been requested to help look for him. It appears to be the Victorian era. GRAPHICS: Nice graphics. Clear. HOPS: 20 – wordlists with a few items being interactive. Items are easily visible, some cleverly hidden. Not particularly pretty to look at, but interesting. PUZZLES: A nice mix of puzzles. Quite a few! 30? SOUNDS: Music, Voice, and Sound. HINT: 1 minute to recharge on Casual. WILL guide and lead you. DIFFICULTY LEVELS: 2 MAP: TRAVEL map! I really needed this in this game! You will go from one end of the game to the other. INVENTORY: LOCKABLE JOURNAL: Task and notes CHARACTERS: You play as the formerly jilted girlfriend. Various characters come to your aid or hinder you at various points, but mainly you're on your own. The voice-overs are enjoyable to listen to. NO lip sync.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holy Cow! What an amazing game. The music alone kept me coming back for more. This will always be a favorite and hope more like this is coming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Legends of The East:The Cobra's Eye I loved this game! This game made me work a bit harder to put it all together, but I found the challenge refreshing. I thought that the graphics were great. The game moved along nicely, once I quit getting in my own way. I was entertained throughout a long, lazy Sunday forenoon. When the game was over, I was left wanting more. Hopefully the gamers who made it will make more.Happy gaming fishies!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Game Ever Played So Far Sensational game, always compelling. Very imaginative. I know where I'm going, what's next. Exciting, challenging, unique. Great puzzles and not too many HOGs, which I find boring since I've OD'd on them. Helpful interactive map. A++ in almost every way I can think of. I especially appreciated the fastest-ever transitions from screen to screen, place to place. Very high tech feeling. Wish every game was like this one. This is the first time I've bothered to review one. I need more by whoever made this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unusually Complex Story I really liked this one. It was long but I was sorry when it was over. You really must set aside a few things, like the heroine of the story in a long a dress making long, regular climbs from building to building on a rope, up down and over many obstacles with heaven knows what for shoes on, but that is worth a smile as you play. The story was complex and interesting. The map even more extensive and complex. Most of the HOS were challenging, the puzzles were either okay or aggravating (when I call a puzzle aggravating that is good for puzzle fans because I don't like them), and the story was a bit like a book you don't want to put down. All in all, I really recommend this game and hope there are more like it in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enjoyable game, great challenge! After trying to download the Collector version of this game and not being successful I tried the standard version and it worked. So glad it did. I thoroughly enjoyed this game. It has two modes: casual and advanced. I played advanced. I liked the advance because there were no sparkles at all! There are black bar tips though. There is a map which I did not use, but I understand it does transport which is great because there is a lot of back and forth in the game (which I don't mind). There are a number of HOS but they are spread out pretty well. You're not doing one every other scene. The puzzles vary in difficulty and I found myself challenged on a number of them. Some may not like the graphics (they might think they are grainy). I found the storyline interesting, the music was good and not annoying (although I kept on low volume). It took me a number of hours. Sorry I forgot to keep track. Overall I recommend to all skill levels. Take advantage of this weekends sale and get this one or at least try the demo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EXCEPTIONAL VALUE This game is incredible. There are so many locations and things to do right from the beginning - each location easily has over 10 interesting tasks. Very well conceived and constructed story. The location graphics are fantastic, and the gameplay is pretty flawless. Wide variety of puzzles in type and difficulty and type. Typical list-based HOS. Puzzles outnumber HOS. Real actors and great voiceovers. Exception production values - a true pleasure to play.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just As I Promised SE Here Gets 5 Stars - Review Of Completed CE Game Story: You take on the role of Catherine Taylor and must stop a devastating war over a long lost artifact that has recently resurfaced and uncover the truth of the Cobra's Eye and not only save your true love Daniel but the world from evil forces known as the Draugs trying to claim it. There is widescreen at least for me. I had no problems here along with no tech issues. There is voice overs. 6 CHAPTERS (I have also included bonus review at very bottom) 2 play modes: I played Advance mode the hardest mode. No sparkles however black bar tips. Hint/Skip about a couple of minutes for charge up. Hint is also directional outside of HOS. JOURNAL: Holds objectives which also pop up on the screen along with notes. MAP: This is transporter with a total of 32 locations and it indicates where you are by a "yellow glow" to the circle. Areas with ! there is something to do in these areas. HOS: There are quite a few of these however I didn't find myself doing them one right after the other and there are a couple on each list that are interactive. Some scenes for me a little on the Sanford & Son junkyard pile side however most nice and clear. INVENTORY: Sometimes used right away but at times I had quite a bit in the inventory. PUZZLES: These are widely varied in difficulty and type - and there are a great many of them. Yet another to my surprise I found myself enjoying most of them. The main game here came to a satisfactory conclusion for me. Bonus chapter not needed. MAIN GAME LENGTH: 6 hours. May be more/less for you. OVERALL IMPRESSION: I have played and reviewed the CE version when that came out and just as I promised I said I would give the SE version here 5 stars. The only thing for me that kept the CE version from getting 5 stars was there are no bells and whistles meaning the achievements, collectibles, morphs. Yes I rate SE and CE versions of games different. Since I'm paying twice as much for the CE well I do expect bells and whistles. So for a SE this definitely gets 5 stars from me. I really enjoyed the story. Hooked from the get go and held my interest to the end. The graphics are really good, Loved the characters that is Catherine's sense of humor and oh the eye candy in this game that being the 2 male hunks. The voice overs also very good however characters mouths don't move. I also still have the screen saver of Daniel on my desk top. This game also had a lot to do and places to go. Thanks Big Fish and developer for a great game. As always give it a whirl and decide for yourself. BONUS CHAPTER: This is a new story that has to do with a lady from Catherine's past who is out to seek revenge and getting more back story on the Cobra's eye. This has 10 locations which are all new and none from the main game. A nice balance of HOS and puzzles here as well. This also came to a satisfactory conclusion for me with no kind of cliff hanger. This was an hour for me. May be more/less for you. CE EXTRAS: Bonus Chapter Strategy Guide 3 Bonus Movies 12 Wallpapers (woo hoo eye candy here lol) 12 Concept Art 4 Original Score
