Mayan Prophecies: Cursed Island Collector's Edition is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 36.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Developers Did Their Homework!!! Took a while to finish this game and wanted to leave a positive review for EleFun. Beautiful, bold colors with high quality artwork, puzzles and appropriate time era hidden objects. Particularly liked being able to switch to Mah Jong in lieu or in addition to finding hidden objects. For all ages, gamers are playing the sequel to Ship of Spirits that brought both stories together quite well. Developers included much of the ancient Mayan, Aztec and Mexico artifacts that touched on their sorrowful history of conquest. The blood-stained hands of greedy, murderous soldiers literally stole their precious gems and metals that ultimately obliterated the Indians' traditional, religious beliefs since these were part of their faith. Gamers are in for a treat in viewing the lush and ancient artwork. Game was lengthy with numerous hidden objects, collecting humming birds and the beyond morphing objects. Extra content includes all the goodies including a bonus chapter, video replays, wallpaper, concept art, music, mahjong, etc. Like the Mayan Indians, this game is ahead of it's time and will long outlast many of the "shallow" newer games in my humble opinion. Happy to have added to my BFG Collection. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sequel Every scene has a Morphing Object and a "collectible" Hummingbird, the 1st time through. There are 40 Hummingbirds and 40 Morphing Objects to gather. I'm a regular player and playing all of the HOPs and all of the Mini Games, plus the Bonus Game took me over 8 hours. I thoroughly enjoyed the game, and it had a nice flow. The graphics were clear and the music fit the game theme. Once the Bonus Game is completed, you can play Mahjong games as many times as you want. I feel like I got an extra Mahjong game along with my CE purchase. Thanks to the Developers for a great game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Loved this HO game!! I really appreciate a hidden object game that has a story, and stunning artwork. This game has both! I am partial to mixing it up, showing imagination, by combining jungle and water and town stories, all in one game! Well done- loved it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FANTASTIC! This is one of a few games where I have left the music on!! Great color, animation, sound and voice overs. Loved everything about this game. Can't wait for the next in this sequel. Thanks BF.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Way to go! As second Mayan Prophecies installment, it is great! I love the fact that you can play in three different difficult modes. Or use the custom mode and pick and choose what help you want. The puzzles HOS offer a challenge. And you don't always know where to go and What to do. There are also other world objects and Hummingbirds to find as a bonus.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bright South American Scenes They list hops at 34. I counted 23 in the main game and 9 in the Bonus game. I must of miscounted by two. The CE has 15 Mahjong to play. Collect 40 Hummingbirds and 40 Morphs. Nine Chapters + Bonus Game. Does South America have snow drops? Because I saw some. My favorite puzzle in the bonus was memory matching. The grossest thing was using a swab for a ear. Other wise a Bright, not gloomy game.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Volcanic Eruptions And Mayan Curses! BASED ON COMPLETED GAME FIRST IMPRESSIONS This game is very much the direct and immediate sequel to the first Mayan Prophesies game, Ship Of Spirits. We pick up exactly where we finished the bonus chapter, taking our vicious poacher back to land. Now, however, we are lost at sea, and things are looking grim. In an excellent intro, we are reminded, in black and white images, of the story so far, and the new dangers that we now face are picked up in colour. Fully immersive video! (You’ll get the joke when you play the intro). We end up washed ashore on some unknown island and once again have lost the poacher. SIGHTS & SOUNDS The quality of the graphics is great. The cut scenes involving the volcano look like real life footage of a volcano eruption. Awesome. The graphics elsewhere are not quite breathtaking, but they are very good. In the first game, colours were dominated by orange and green. I am pleased to find the colours this time focus on tropical green and a dozen vibrant contrasts. The voiceovers are once again very good, with all characters and the narrator sounding excellent. I didn’t get into the music, but it in no way interfered with the game. MAKING PROGRESS The gameplay for this game is as good as the first. There are loads of mini-games as well as HOPs. This time finding the hummingbirds requires you to find a Mayan idol or artifact, activate it, then catch the bird. The HOPs can be exchanged for a very fun mahjong game instead. The scenes themselves are beautiful, with a lot of detail, and while occasionally some items are a bit hard to find, for the most part they are really very clear. The HOPs are interactive lists, and we visit each scene twice. The puzzles, as always for me, ranged from “do it with your eyes closed” to “even the SG solution is too hard”. Some interesting twist on a few regular games. There is of course an interactive jump map and directional hint. BLING! I like this game’s bling. Bonus game, gallery, SG. 20 Mahjong boards. Achievements, although not many. 40 of those lovely challenging humming birds to collect, plus 32 pieces of a Mayan calendar, and 40 beyond objects. Which were hard enough to find that I only got 2/3 of them. The main story ends well enough, although they did a line that makes it clear there’s more to be said. FAMOUS LAST WORDS This is a great, fun, entertaining game, and I enjoyed playing this and the first Mayan Prophesies back to back immensely satisfying.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just As Fun I really enjoyed this and own the other Mayan games. This will be added to my list. Never ran out of stuff to do. Puzzles, Ho's and task very well balanced. Can play Mahjong if you are tire of HO's. Journal and a guide. No map. Can change level of play any time. Characters were interesting enough. Well rounded game.
