I Know This Is A Stellar, Very Creepy Game...
BUT....why am I unable to make any useful progress? I am totally stumped, seriously this has never happened to me before and I am not sissy gamer. Very embarrassing (lol) !!Lots of items in inventory, nowhere to use them. Every room I enter now says nothing more to do here. I am reading all the raving reviews, wanting to add my own. The map with footprints is so slow and makes me crazy. It does not jump. I just go round & round, back & forth, side to side with no results. HELP HELP HELP !!! The house is holding me against my will until I can get my brain cells in super gear.
Absolutely love the very scary demonic little boy, the angry animals and the hand. The house was done in such articulate detail with the beautiful yet creepy furnishings and atmosphere. I hope my light bulb clicks on soon so I can enjoy the game like everyone else. I agree, we need more games like this. Has anyone played Amnesia or Scratches?? Those can scare your pants off!! They are 2 of my Big Fish faves. Well, wish me luck folks. I refuse to quit.
Five stars it is, I highly recommend this game for being able to ruffle my feathers (lol).

When I first began this game I thought I would never crack it. After a while I became quite engrossed in it, although the story line was almost non existent. At times, because there were no clues to help, it became boring while you waited for the footsteps to go to another scenario.

A gem, truly!
I loved this game! The graphics are often beautiful, even if the subject matter is gloomy at times. It is a haunted house, after all, but lovely details everywhere. The sound effects are perfect, the music is unobtrusive and varied, mostly quite pleasant. It's not just hidden object scenes, there are puzzles and things to do, and you've got a lot of places to roam around and explore. This is a long game, perhaps the longest I've played here in years, so you definitely get your money's worth.
I have to respectfully disagree with another reviewer who didn't think this game had any adventure aspects or story. It's not a complicated story, but it is told bit by bit through gameplay and I found it interesting. As a long-time classic adventurer, I thought it did feel like an adventure game with a lot of interesting HO scenes thrown in. If nothing else, give the demo a try.
The one drawback I have to mention is that there is a considerable delay between scenes, where a floorplan is shown. I wasted time trying to use this map before I realized it was just a "wait while loading" screen.
I'd love to see more like this one. The developers clearly took their time to craft a detailed, wonderful game.

Faint of heart? Move on....
Exquisite artwork! I've never seen a game that captures a desolate, haunted house with such grisly beauty.
The mini games are great; the version I played had practically no instructions so I relied on instinct and still got through most of them.
Only niggle was the time lag when changing scenes or navigating by the map.
For the squeamish: only a tiny handful of horror scenes, but wow, are they scary...

Great fun game
I found this game easy to play and lots of fun. Very scary in parts which is what I like. Surprised me in other parts. Different from most games which kept me very interested. I hope we get more from these makers.

Excellent game.
I really enjoyed this game. It's a bit dark and it's a bit creepy. Love that hand. I've played it 3 or 4 times now and it still presents a challenge.

Awesome hidden object game!
Loved it! Awesome sound, music, pictures were great, story telling was awesome. I loved the book that kept information in it with history and it kept the tasks organized, instead of writing everything down in a notebook. It was very scary with some parts when you pressed on shadowy figures, and some parts were funny, silly and exiting. And that's my kind of game! But it might not be yours. Otherwise everything else awesome! You would probably love this game so much you would be begging for more or you might want to play some more games like this!

Great few hours of fun!
I really enjoyed this game, one of the few games I attempted without having a walkthrough. Gave me some challenging moments and two visits to the forum, but struggled through most of the puzzles. Loved the unique keys for the rooms. Storyline kept me interested. Relied on the map often and the hints were helpful. While the hints were slow in coming, this is good for me, so I didn't give up too quickly. This is one I'll probably play again.

Really Liked this Game!
I hesitate sometimes getting a game that is not a Collector's game, but this one intrigued me. I am soooo glad I did play this game! It genuinely had new puzzles/HOS's and the storyline was wonderful. Easy to maneuver through the game, thanks to the map. The scenes were a bit dark, but that mostly added to the mysterious nature of the "abandoned" house. The hint button helped a lot when needed, but you still had to think through some of the puzzles to get to the solution. The Book/Journal was different, but I liked how the clues were put in there.
I would recommend this game for anyone who likes an adventure. Good going Nevosoft! Job well done.
