The Musketeers: Victoria's Quest is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 76.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review based on the completed game! The basics: - A resource gathering time management game with a difference. You gather some items which you need to interact with to fashion them into products you'll need in that particular level. - In addition to the usual bonuses such as 'run faster' etc, you also have boosters; collected throughout the whole game. I'll start by saying that I first disliked this game, because the tutorial wasn't very clear on exactly how important the + 1 Stone or + 1 Wood were and many of us gamers ran out of resources and got confused. Once I understood how this works, I began to 'get' how the developers wanted us to think and strategise and I couldn't put this game down. It has literally dominated 2 days and nights of my life. The graphics look lovely, clear and bright with beautiful colours on my screen and it played flawlessly on my Windows 7, 64 bit computer. It becomes very important to use those switch boosters wherever you can which, at first was tedious, but you soon get used to doing it. You'll collect many boosters right until the end, but those two are the only ones you switch a lot - the rest you simply put on the figure according to the level. From level 37 onward it becomes very challenging and you really need to look at the screen closely before you begin to figure out the only path you can possibly take, because often from then onward there is only one right way, regardless of the stone and wood booster. It's a nice story and the ending hints at a sequel. I really hope so. Did I do this in 3 star time? No chance. I played on Multi-click and in the later stages the game throws so many curveballs. However, Multi-click will let you finish a level if you run out of time, which happens incredibly quickly. I'm interested to see the developer's video walkthrough to get 3 stars on every level when it's released. Some levels took me 30 minutes or more. If you have a spare PCC and you like a good challenge (as well as this type of game), I think this is definitely worth it. It's worth a demo at least. I'm glad I didn't throw it in the trash, which, to be honest, was my first reaction. Happy Gaming!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun TM game I really like this game. It has all of the usual TM strategies. Build a sawmill, bakery, quarry... It also has extra stuff to do, such as make a fishing rod, make a net, feed parrot and so on. You can choose casual or multi click. Make sure to do the tutorial in the beginning so you don't miss out on how to make some of the items you will need. It is a fun game and we needed a good TM game!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Strategic Time Management Game I loved the graphics on this TM game which requires you to pick and choose your tasks carefully, otherwise you will not be able to get enough resources to finish the level. If you aren't familiar with Time Management games, I suggest you choose the casual setting, multi-clicking can sometimes get you in trouble because you eat up precious time if you choose the wrong tasks at the wrong time. The goal is to achieve three stars which tends to be somewhat difficult with this game. Great entertainment, especially if you enjoy fast paced games that make you think, enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Liked this very much I play a lot of the builder types of Time Management games and found this one to be fun and challenging. I played on the multi-click mode. It is destined to be played many times again. Not a journey I can complete in a few hours like some of the others. You really had to plan and think out your course of action. A great game and am hoping for a sequel soon! It had a bug on one of the levels where you could not achieve gold, but the developers promised a fix. Glad they are responsive..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Different TM game. First, I have to say that this TM is different then any TM games I have. You really need to plan ahead with this game because you don't you get stuck. For example: On level 2, there's two buildings you have to build. 1. The Bakery and the 2.the sawmill. Normally, on other TM games you get the resources but not on this one. First time I did it, I build the bakery but when I came to the sawmill I didn't have the resources to build it. I was stuck. So I did it again this time building the sawmill first and THEN build the bakery. It worked. Also you also need to build some things (like a fishing rod) to complete the level. This game is between a TM and strategy game. You can do it casual or multi click. It's not timed (If it's timed I didn't see it) mainly because you have to plan ahead. Please try the demo because this one id totally different.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a thinkers game this game is a little different. it requires planning and knowing how to equip yourself to gather the needed supplies in some of the levels. i'm a big tm fan and i play them all, but this one kept me on my toes more than most. i had to restart several levels after i realized i hadn't activated the proper equipment. you can cue tasks even in the untimed mode. the story line is interesting and there are skills to learn like weaving and furniture making. victoria is a welcome change from the usual heros. its good to see a woman in charge! i did have some trouble installing the game, but i was worth it. i'm looking forward to a sequel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delightful game! This is one of the best, funniest and charming games in its genre! I love to play this kind of games and this one is a breath of fresh. It's not at all easy, so there is enough challenge. You really have to plan in advance, if not you'll get stuck and have to start all over again. And... there is a relaxed mode! Thanks BF!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not the average TM game Posted a longer review in the forums, but not everyone reads the detailed reviews there. Thought this was a great TM game, with many additional strategy elements thrown in. While it does have an untimed relaxed mode, if you don't properly plan out your moves, you will still find yourself having to replay a level more than once, as you will run out of necessary resources. Use of inventory & boosters are really key in this game. I didn't think I would like it at first, but once you get the hang of it, it is quite addictive. I spent many hours trying to get through just one or two levels at a time with 3 stars. The key is to not come in with expectations of it being like Royal Envoy, Island Tribe or Roads of Rome (all great TM games) - it is not like them. It needs to be judged for what it is & not for what it is not, since it is not comparable to those types of TM games. While it is a road-clearing/obstacle TM game, the added elements make it totally different & really challenging. Not just running around clicking on everything. I really hope the developers continue this as a series since there is an audience for it. Also a big thanks to all the Fishies who posted their hints & strategies in the forum for this - anyone who gets stuck should try that or the developer's youtube walkthroughs. Both are lifesavers when you are pulling your hair out at 2 am trying to figure what you're doing wrong for the umpteenth time replaying a level!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it A Time Management game that really needs strategy. Several levels I had to do over, some of them two or three times, but it was really fun to figure out what you needed and how to get it done. This is one of my new favorites.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One for all I just played about 15 minutes of the demo and already know that I'll be buying this. The game is a time management very much like the My Kingdom for the Princess series (the first three, the fourth one that is different). or Roads to Rome. You have to collect resources, repair buildings, forge tools such as a fishing rod to fish in a lake. It can be played in three modes: Relaxed (not timed) and two timed modes of different difficult. The visual quality is excellent and so is the sound, but I imagine the tune will soon get to me and I hope it's not the only tune in the game. The custom cursor was a bit sluggish for me, but that could be my system not agreeing totally with it. However, it can be changed to a normal cursor, which resolved this problem.
