Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Whodunnit! Facts - * Developer - Eipex Entertainment * Release Date - March 2015 * # of HOGs - 15 * # of Puzzles - 20 * # Levels of Play - 3 + Create you own * Has link to strategy guide, interactive map, and notes * My Completion Time - 5 hours Opinion - I love a classic whodunnit mystery. Forget all the ghosts, aliens, and other fantasy characters, this game was thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish! The storyline was great where you play the detective of a murder mystery in a gigantic mansion. You interview suspects and collect evidence and the HOGs and puzzles are on point with the story. Pros - Exceptional graphics and music with lots of unique, entertaining HOGs. Cons - The puzzles were a little on the easy side but I loved how they were uniform with the story.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVED IT!! Great mystery game! Enjoyed it thoroughly. I knew from the beginning that I would like this and I was right. I think that this is my first of this series and I will be buying more of these in the future. I love to have good info on a story and I love the way info is laid here. If I got confused on something like (who is who), I didn't have to go far to find out. There is great clarity here, which I love. Graphics are great; I fell in love with the house! Puzzles were great. Storyline is great. Everything was so great that I even stopped and read the credits! Hats off to you; keep up the great work!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quickly Becoming My Favorite Series Einix scores again with this series of whodunit HOA's. As a detective, it's your job to come into a manor (where, ironically, the corpse was about to host a murder mystery party) and investigate the REAL murder. I loved the usual amazing graphics, the custom mode, the interactive map, as well as the interrogations (are they lying? Telling the truth?) entering evidence and suspects into the journal, and looking for clues. But this game delivers more. There's a card theme, with hearts and clubs everywhere, as well as the masks you can find for an added challenge. Not only that, the actual gameplay involves clever camera angles that add to the eerie atmosphere. Playing this, as a result, is like being inside a noir film, except you get to interact with the scenes. The HOS are also interactive (I really enjoyed the fishtank) and deliver crisp pictures and fun clues. They're a bit easy, but perhaps the developers wanted to get to the fun puzzles - which are great. Definitely a buy for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did the Butler really do it? This is the kind of HO and detective skills game I love. There's lots of play (you get your money's worth) but events chug along nicely. Most of the items in inventory get used up quickly which I like rather than holding onto them so long, you forget completely what's going on (for those who have to interrupt their game playing often). Finding the HOs was different, the mini games and puzzles along the way were very inventive and fun but do-able. Eipix is quality games and this is certainly up to their standard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous! This game is fabulous! So much fun, without the ridiculous fairy tale fantasy that consumes every other game lately. The hidden object scenes were wonderful, too...and I usually just 'click on everything' to get them 'over with' fast. But not here. Thoroughly enjoyed them. The mini games, too, were refreshing and challenging, yet still easily doable. I especially loved the ambient sounds of the environment -- very relaxing to listen to the rain and the crackling of a warm fire. I can't comment on the music as I opted to play without the music (and glad I did). Very rarely do I feel a game was worth the money, but I am very happy with this purchase. It's right up there with 'City of Fools' as one of my favorites! Try it, you won't be sorry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another great detective game After your success with the Veronica West investigation, you are called in to help solve the murder of Reginald Greer a wealthy business man who had invited his closest family members and friends for a murder whodunit party. Little did he know that instead of just playing the victim, he is the victim. An excellent sequel, just as good as the first.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellence Overall Great graphics, art deco theme, attractive décor. Hints were excellent. Storyline was logical and a fun "who done it" mystery party! Inventory objects related to a location so I could actually map there without a hint! Mini games were well executed, I even enjoyed a few...not a mini game person. HO or Bubble Shooter was a nice option. I enjoy HO games and found them challenging enough without becoming annoying. Towards the end I used the correct inventory object but it didn't work and I had to use the hint button. Overall a very enjoyable escape from reality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Butler in the Library with the Candlestick I played the SE on expert and completed it in about 5 hours. Interesting story line, good music and sounds, professional voice-overs, beautiful graphics. The HOGs are done well, sometimes the things you look for are outlined, or you search for 5 items of the same type, or you have to answer a short riddle to know what to find. Some are interactive and in a really memorable one close to the end a little action scene unfolds with each item you find. There is just the right amount of them but if for some reason you don't feel like doing another one you can play a bubble game instead - which I haven't done, so I can't comment on that. Brassfield Manor is a murder mystery, and the clues you collect throughout the game are organised in a neat evidence folder where you can review your case and the suspects. It gives you a good sense of your progress and ties the story together nicely. You have a map, too. You also get to interview the suspects and question them by pointing at pieces of evidence or things you see about their person. DR: Brassfield Manor does a lot of things right. So, it is a bit of a shame that it isn't a little bit more challenging. The mini-games are almost all very easy. For the adventure part of the game you mostly look for things to do in a room, then look for the things you need to do them with, without requiring too much thought (oh, a bird-shaped gap, what might go in there?!). I loved interviewing the suspects, but the game doesn't let you choose what piece of evidence you ask them about, instead, it shows you a little icon of the item you need to find and click to ask the next question. It would've been great if at least the game would let you connect your evidence to the different suspects on your own, or put together the items about which you want to ask a specific suspect. Overall a great game that shows how diverse and interesting the HOG genre can be. If only they made it a bit more challenging, this game would've been truly outstanding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Game! Really enjoyed this one. No complaints at all. Voiceovers were particularly good; they sounded like real actors. Good puzzles, great graphics, music was appropriate and not annoying, not an overabundance of HOS's. Highly recommend.
