Final Cut: The True Escapade is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Liked the storyline but not the gameplay This type of crime/mystery adventure game is exactly the type I really enjoy. I liked the storyline with the mystery of why are people associated with the film being murdered and I'd like to discover the identity of the culprit. However, the game mechanics just aren't my cup of tea. Maybe it's just my mouse but I had a difficult time finding the exact clickable area on an item to be able to select it. Also, I really didn't care for the slide viewer and spot the difference games. The puzzles were very simple and easy as well. I only managed to play this game for about 30 minutes before I quit playing so this isn't a review of the entire game. Perhaps if I stuck with it I would find more to like but with so many other games this one just wasn't interesting and fun enough to keep playing. Also, I had the music volume at the very end of the slider to mute it but I could still hear it playing softly in the background. In almost all games I prefer to completely mute the background music. I did like the map feature and found it very useful. The character dialogue was good as well. Overall, I think if you like the slide viewer game then this is probably a good way to spend a few hours.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tedious from the start Horrible soundtrack and the game appears to have been roughly put together. It jars at every turn. I feel I am having to force clues into place - no smooth running. Screen colouring is poor too. Didn't enjoy any aspect of it and eventually gave up when things didn't improve.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Totally Confused I can't really say why exactly, but I was confused from almost the beginning of the demo. Who am I supposed to be? Just some girl standing around on the set? Why does some guy get in a car to try to move a trailer, but then he just sits there trying to start the car? It isn't clear if he ever does get the trailer moved. Why doesn't the guy who pulled the trigger say, "OMG! It was supposed to be a prop!" instead of running away? Where does he run away to? The prop room is locked. Maybe he's hiding under the car that won't start. Where did the guys standing around staring at the dead body go? Who covered up the body? Did I cover up the body? Why does the lock to the prop room require three pieces hidden in three different places? Who took the slide photos that go in the magic slide machine? Is there a way to smash the stupid magic slide machine and just look around for clues? And last but not least, how do you get that annoying objectives banner to stop sliding in and out? Confused I may be, but not so much that I need a banner to tell me I finally got into the stock room.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This seems familiar... There is too much in this game that has been in previous games. This dev. has done away with hidden object. The hidden object part is just another mini game. I keep being disappointed by this developers games.
