Fear for Sale: Endless Voyage is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Now That was Some Great Gameplay The Fear for Sale series has just come up a notch or two, maybe even three!! The Endless Voyage episode had not only a great story but super-enjoyable puzzles and HO's. Many games have made their puzzles so obtuse that I usually skip them after frustrating time sadly spent. Not here! Also the Hidden Object play was well more than just finding items, some included many steps. All in all...WELL DONE

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An all around 5 star in my book Totally enjoyed this game. Excellent graphics, color and animations...even the voice-overs were good. Interesting storyline and smooth gameplay. HOS were interesting and at times a bit challenging with an option to do a puzzle if you didn't want to do the HOS or complete it. Mini puzzles were interesting, but I'm not a puzzle doer so I did skip some of them. Custom options allow you to refresh the skip and hint quickly which really helps in some cases. Transporter map was excellent! This was an SE so I imagine the CE may develop the ending a bit, but it ended well anyway. Definitely worth the money as it was a long game for a SE. Highly recommend if you enjoy HOS/Adventure games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fear for Sale: Endless Voyage SE Some reviews give many plot details. I'd rather just get the basics & learn the rest playing the game. What's helpful to know: -is there a choice of difficulty levels? [some older games don't have that option] -is there a jump map? -is the game mostly HO's or are there many puzzles? -can puzzles be skipped? -can the skip/hint recharge time be very short? Fear for Sale is HO focused & meets the other criteria in the questions above. Will play it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Try this game! Other than a few middling complaints, I couldn't find anything wrong with it! 1. There were a few jarring places in the music, but lowering my speaker volume solved the issue for me. Overall, I thought the music to be a good accompaniment to the game. 2. Having to wait out the black screen between locations may have been due to my slow Internet connection. 3. I lost track of the story's logic. Not sure if it was just me or if something was left unexplained. There might have been some loose ends that needed tying up. The positive about that issue is that I cared about the story! 4. The whole game was about a chapter too long for me. The artwork in this game is outstanding, and there were enough HOS to keep me happy. They were all beautiful and clearly drawn, but quite challenging and not just seek and find. Each time an HOS was replayed, it involved a new challenge. A+ on those, guys! This is one I'll play again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Come Aboard and Sail Away .... to the Past? I knew almost immediately upon playing the demo that this was going to be not only a great game but that I would have to add it to my growing list of unplayed games - lol. The storyline is a fairly new one. In the 1930's, 3 people went missing when the ship, named Virginia, disappeared while at dock. Imagine ..... a storm .... fog enveloping the ship .... lightning .... a fierce wind ..... and then .... the Virginia disappears right before your eyes! It's now "present day" and another ship, named the Virginia, has docked at the same pier. Is it a duplicate in every way, including the name .... or could it be .... the SAME ship ????? OH MY!!!! Shades of the Bermuda Triangle!!! There are 4 difficulty modes: Casual, Normal, Hard (each shows you things like sparkles are on or off, how often your hint button recharges, etc.) and Custom (where there are several options you can change to suit your game play). Graphics are sharp and very realistic. Even down to the numbers on the clock at the pier. The music was not creepy at all .... more ...... quite lovely. That's the best I can do. I would normally have listened to it throughout the game play but I had a terrible ear ache today and ultimately turned it off. That actually disappointed me. Voice overs were extremely well done. I had no problems either hearing or understanding the various characters. There is a transportable map which shows your current location and where something needs to be done. There is a task list .... and you can work your way UP the ladder of journalist ranks by finding 8 items throughout the game. The tutorial offers you the choice of "full tutorial", "only on Special Features", or "No tutorial". HOGS (hidden object games): 26 - extremely interactive and quite fun. Mini Games - 28 - I found them a variety of easy peasy to .... hmmm .... THIS is going to take some patience and perseverance (of which I have neither). lol I think those at any level of experience would enjoy this game as there is certainly NO shortage of things to do as you move through the game play. It is high in entertainment value but not so "busy" that it takes away from the story. I very rarely give a game 5 stars but when I do it's a guaranteed purchase for me (I purchased the CE version). I was hooked very early into the demo. Join me in investigating the Virginia. Will we find answers or sail away to ..... the past? Enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! This game had all of the best features. There were HOS but there were not so many as to become boring. They were varied and enjoyable. The puzzles were good. The gameplay was intuitive. I loved the artwork and the seafarers theme. Even the plot was interesting. It was really good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Permission Granted To Board The S.S Virginia, Destination....1930! Recently there have been reports of several passengers who have boarded a mysterious cruiseliner that simply disappears into thin air. As an investigative Journalist, Emma Roberts knows she must board this Ghost Ship if she wants the story of a lifetime, hopefully she won't have to spend her lifetime on an Endless Voyage! This ship appears to be a replica of the S.S. Virginia, in Miami Florida, but this is no replica, this IS the S.S Virginia, the ship that went missing in the 1930's! One minute the ship looks pristine, the next a bucket of rust, beautiful flowers wilt within seconds, seagulls fly right through the ships walls, as if it weren't even there! To complicate matters, there has been a murder on board, Now may be the perfect time to "jump ship" because this cruise may be deadly! Personally, I liked the Collectors Edition better because you begin the game as a simple Reporter, and advance up the ranks from Investigative Journalist to Special Correspondent. Every inventory item you find, every collection found and Morphing "seer" objects you spot, will net you points, you will even receive points for completing Hidden Object Puzzles and Mini Games. As the points add up, so does your ranking, you can even replay the game to get a better score, or challenge a friend. The Collectors Edition also has 34 Morphing Objects to spot, and several Collections available within different categories, such as Lady Collectibles, Captain and Musician Collectibles and Postcards. The map will indicate that all Collectible and Morphs have been found in each location, with a gold star above that area. Either Edition has Plus Sign Inventory items requiring further interaction before that item can be used such as combining two inventory items together or repairing the item. The Hidden Object Scenes are very interactive and extremely well done. Some are progressive, silhouettes, requiring you to find the first item that matches the silhouetted shape shown, and then using that item in the scene to collect the next item and so forth. There are also interactive list finds, and smaller HOP's within zoomed in areas where you are tasked with finding 4 or 5 fragments. There is an optional Jigsaw Puzzle available in place of the HOP, which sounds appealing because all of the hidden object scenes are repeated at least once. The Mini Games seem fairly easy, at least within the demo, lighting the correct lights to duplicate the astrological sign as shown, or swapping tiles to their correct position to complete an image, by using arrows to rotate three different sets of tiles. The Collectors Edition has Wallpapers, Concept Art, Screensavers, Music, Achievements, Collectibles, Morphing Objects, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This a buy for me Emma Roberts is at it again. Boards a ship connected with one from the 30s and has to solve a major crime as well as get a story for her publishing company. Graphics are better than average and are bright and not dark at all. Characters are pretty close to lifelike and are believable in their roles. Captains voice needs a little work though but that's minor. HO's and puzzles/mini games are fun and with just enough challenge to keep you alert and help the story progress without making you jump back and forth for no purpose. Finished the demo with sadness because I want to see what happens next. Probably buy this one while it's on sale. I highly recommend this one but play the demo first just to make sure it's your cup of tea. I know it is mine. Have fun!
