Outdated and unattractive.
Game poor in excitement and challenging!
Almost only HOS, very easy, (different objects, or several of the same).
Mini games extremely easy.
It has a journal and a map.
You can choose to play timed or relaxed, and easy or advanced.
Twenty minutes was more than enough for me.

Too Confusing For Me
I wanted to give the game a fair shake, so I played it for 58 minutes. The game has some unique factors that could have made it fun.
You take turns playing 3 different characters during the game.
You have to go to this hidden underground meeting place to swap inventory items with each other. This means that you not only have to remember where it is that you need to use an inventory object, you also have to remember which character you were playing at the time to insure that you swap out the inventory item to the right character. Personally, I found it far too challenging. I have a hard time remembering where an object is needed when I play just one character!
Some of the mini-games were rather unique and fun but most of them were nothing out of the ordinary.
A few of the objects in the hidden object scenes were difficult to decipher. I had to guess at some and use the hint button often (which recharged quickly, thank-goodness).
I tried to like the game but just couldn't pull it off.

lots of puzzles
This game had a good basic idea, where you play as three different people and have to meet to exchange inventory items. I played the sequel first which may have spoiled me a bit as they corrected a lot of the flaws in this one. First that most of the HO scenes are dark and the items on the small side. The ending was quite easy also, you just need to follow the color codes. But all in all this game was pretty good. lots of locations, a good map and a decent diary that you really did need to read. I found there to be a bit too much reading but I liked the amount and variety of puzzles and it had a storyline to it. If you can pick it up on sale it's a decent way to pass some time.

game hung near ending
I would have enjoyed this game more had the game not failed for me trying to add the parchment to the book at the end. The game hung. I reinstalled and tried again and it hung in the same spot. I gave the game 2 stars and won't recommend it for this reason.
This game was fun until that point. I loved being able to switch between characters.

Most Challenging game I've played
Need more like this one. Almost needed a notebook to keep up with all the stuff we had to find and keep up with which character needed what item to complete the tasks. Truly AWESOME game.

Great hidden object game
I liked the three way assault on the magician and the back tracking to and from the meeting place.

Loved it!
This is one of my faves.... Challenging enough without being frustrating - enjoyed the interplay between the three characters and figuring out who needed what where. If you like the games that are extremely difficult, you probably won't like this one. And if you like them with no challenge at all, you won't like it either. I'm a player who likes puzzles that take some thinking, but that I can figure out without tearing my hair out or wasting an hour getting the solution -- so it was 'just right' for me. :)

Something a Little Different
At first, I didn't think I would care for this game, but it has it's moments. It does have a little something different to offer. Although the experts may get bored, the lower intermediates, like me, and the beginners will find it a bit of a challenge. The story line is a little different as is the setting, the game did not drag for me. The only thing I would have liked was a different ending.
