Call Me Crazy, But 1 of My Faves! I have played this game over and over, and every time I play, love it even more! It has a great story line, and while I am not a fan of the circle hos, at least you're looking for things that pertain to the story. A gypsy is to break the curse, not a new story, but this one leads you from one place to another, although, when you find all the jewels and the items you need, the locations get added to your map, and you can use that to jump around with, which I like, as I absolutely despise retracing my steps. Of course, you're object is to defeat the evil Sorceress, and have a happily ever after - and I do wish they would put out another one of these games w/the gypsy investigator! This is one of my standby faves to play when I am bored with everything else, and definitely feel I got my money's worth since I played it more than once! April 5, 2012
Nice game with some frustrating drawbacks I liked this game for the most part. The graphics were simpler than some games of this type, but I found them very pretty. The storyline is OK and makes more sense as you go along. I liked the mini games because they were fun and easy. Most areas did not have any music (a drawback for me), but when there was music, I liked it. What I didn't like about this game: you can't pick up objects or perform any action until you get to that part of the story. Very annoying. The hint/help feature is usually useless, telling you that "there's nothing to do in this area" but not telling where you DO need to go, or saying "there's something to do here, but what?" Gee, thanks for the hint. I had to resort to the walkthrough way more than I should have for such a relatively simple game. I am not patient with these games and I don't like clicking around in the different areas going back and forth just looking for something to do, since there isn't any logical thing to do next. I want a game to unfold logically, and this one often didn't. However, it was still pleasant and fun, although short. I recommend it if you enjoy games set in forest/fairytale type settings and can get past the game's more frustrating features. June 21, 2012
A very good and enjoyable game In four words - interesting, entertaining, inspiring, intriguing can best describe this game. The graphics were very good and clear and the dialogue was interisting and topical. The puzzles were not too dificult but a few needed some extra thought. The hidden objects being fragmented did not distract from the intrigue of this game although some were a tad hard to find as they melded into the background. There was quite a lot of moving around and backtracking but I feel that this added to the interest and inspiration on finally being successful in that particular task. You really had to remember what was contained in each scene as most of the items and implements would be needed later in the game. Truly challenging in some places with the walkthrough blog needed but overall a great game, well worth the money. March 16, 2012
Surprisingly Good! Initially, I didn't think I was even going to play this game once I started it. It's not the traditional HOG. But, once I got into it, I was hooked! It's very challenging and makes you think and remember different locations within the game. Quite a surprise. Given how much effort the developers put into the game, they could have given a little more to the story line, but it's okay. Would recommend this to anyone who likes a little challenge. Re-Doing my review of this game - + + I was having difficulty -discovered it was my visual problems and the game was fine - be advised, some of the sought items are rather small but they are there, a few of the contact points are small - but they are there and are necessary to finish the game ... don't give up ... it's a lot of fun. This is not one of those Done in an Hour games... so grab a cold drink and enjoy.... BTW.... my grandson is 9, nothing that would frighten him. August 1, 2012
hard game for me, very challenging it may appeal to some people but i just wanted to get done. it was harder than most and i like straight HOS not the ones where you have to look for objects to get an object. none were that hard to find once you got the hang of it. this had me going back to the walkthrough all the way through. that is unusual for me. if you want a challenge this is it! Boring! I bought this game because it looked interesting. But, back & forth, then more back & forth = boring in my book. I do these games to wind down, not to be driven insane retracing my steps. If that doesn't bother you, then it'll be a good choice. The graphics are imaginative + very well done and it has a cute story + characters. and puzzles that were doable. April 28, 2012
Dont know why everyone thinks this is so good Ok it looks great and seems to have a nice story BUT it is simply frustrating, not nicely challenging. I couldnt get the elixir of healing for the deer - it needed honeycomb and I'd already used it and couldnt see how to get more, plus the gazebo got nothing after fairy dust. Hints just said 'something to do here but what' - didnt highlight or tell you what to do and nothing responded to clicks. And the walkthrough was no help either. Still couldnt make progress. I really wouldnt get any more games from Amaranth, looks like lazy game producing to me, not tying everything in and useless hints. December 4, 2012
A different HO game Very well done, the graphics were cute, made me think of a picture book. The puzzles weren't to hard and I like how they did the HO scenes differently. Fun to play. June 17, 2012
Nice change from some other games! A decent challenge and nice change on the puzzles. March 20, 2012
