Travel Riddles: Trip To Italy is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun Game but somewhat easy Let me say from the start that I am not a lover of really hard 3M games, but this one (Trial period only - got to level 23) is easy. If there is anyone out there who has never played one of these games, then it would be an ideal starter pack. Personally, I find it relaxing even playing the timed version because the time is very generous and the purchase of exploding bombs etc are very cheap and, therefore, plentiful. I have bought it, not for the challenge but for a bit of fun. As a starter pack, I recommend this game.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Still Lacks A Wow Factor This is a decent Match 3 game, but just like Travel Riddles: Trip to India, this game lacks a wow factor, something to make the game stand out from the rest of the Match 3 games. The object of the game is to make matches of at least 3 identical items such as Soldiers, Wreaths, Rings and Swords. You can choose to play in a Timed Mode or Relaxed, however, you cannot earn the 3 available gold stars in Relaxed mode. There are 7 episodes within Italy, and you are challenged to collect several artifact pieces by dropping fragments to the bottom of the board until the artifact is complete. There are the usual blocked tiles, Wooden Crates, Gold and Silver Plates etc. which require you to make matches on them or near them to clear the tile, there are hidden artifact pieces within some of the creates as well. Power Ups are unlocked at different levels such as a Mighty Bomb that destroys tiles nearby, and occasionally a power up is released on the board automatically. You can purchase several power ups at a time if you have earned enough funds. One thing I really liked about this game is the fact that the levels progress rapidly, and become challenging which in my opinion keeps the game from becoming stale, enjoy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's good but I won't buy it Let me begin by saying that M3's are far from being my game of choice. I own close to 300 games and not one is a Match 3. I prefer games with a story so HOPA's are those which fill the bill for me. Granted there is much repetitiveness is all games regardless of genre; however M3's have the highest percentage of repetition and for me this becomes tedious and it doesn't take long for the ennui to begin. Having said that, my take on this Trip to Italy should be a winner for those game players who really like match games. The best feature for me is that in lots of the grids there are a given number of like items ( wreaths, tridents, helmets, coins, etc. ) that must be matched up. Each has a mini jigsaw that must be completed by lowering a segment of the puzzle to the bottom of the grid. There are powerups to be obtained, bombs can be had during the demo version. There are the usual obstacles and tiles that need removing. This Italian trip does not have any sort of story line. The game merely uses as a sort of theme things associated with the country. The initial group is about Rome. One grid is labeled Coliseum but only the jigsaw portion is a reminder of that relic and nothing else. Were I an M3 fan, I'd obtain it so for a game player who only sees this sort of game from a distance I can recommend it for those who relish them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for me This game is one that is not for me. I can not put my finger on why I did not like this game. There are going to be people out there that are going to like the game and that is ok by me. All I am saying is that it just was not for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average match-3 game This is an average match-3 game, nothing spectacular, but not bad for the type of game it is. Nice graphics, sound not bad. You can buy power-ups with gold you earn by playing the levels. As you play, you release parts of artifacts which you collect to form the whole artifact. In some levels, there are other things to collect, also, to finish the level. You can play in timed or relaxed mode, which is a plus. Not a bad game, just not special. I will buy it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from problems I don't know what is wrong with the travel riddle games but each time I try to play one after about 2 minutes it shuts down & takes me back to the beginning, I gave up after the 3rd time on this one,

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Where, O Where Art Thou ..... Italy. Yes, this is a Match 3 game (M3) and I LOVE a GOOD M3. Unfortunately, THIS is far from "good". Graphics were .... ok. I felt the tiles were too small, thus making the items on them too small. Music was quite lively. Best part of the game! No voiceovers. 2 modes of difficulty: timed or relaxed. You could only have 1 profile at a time. So, if your friend, relative, etc. wanted to play, YOUR profile would be deleted. After ALL that hard work! There is a tutorial AFTER each level but it does a very poor job of explaining things. For instance, HOW, exactly, do we earn the gold stars? (You can earn up to 3 per level. I figured out myself that there are pieces of a 'relic', 'artifact', etc. that we have to get down the bottom of the game screen. We also have to get "x" number of items. For instance, 12 pieces of grass, etc. to pass the level. You DO NOT earn any bonuses for matches of 4 or more. There is a "shop" but I was never directed there. No storyline, no helpful tutorial, no entertainment value, no "Italian" anything. NO purchase for me (figured I'd keep the 'no' pattern going - lol). I definitely DO NOT recommend this game for beginners because of the poor tutorial. It's actually quite a boring game and I was so glad when the demo ended. I'll be closer to Italy eating spaghetti for dinner tonight! It just wasn't for me.
