Green Moon 2 is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 50.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Green Moon 2 Rocks This game was a blast to play, start to finish. It is a tough game for sure but worth every minute. I wish more games were of this caliber. For me, games lately are just too darn predictable and easy. Give us more, more, more like Green Moon 2. That being said, the only negative is that after playing Green Moon 2 most other games simply fall flat. I wait eagerly for another far out trip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Second Chapter I really loved Green Moon. Over the years, it's become one of the games I use as a standard to compare others to, so when I saw part 2 had arrived I was overjoyed. To be honest, the second version isn't quite as good as the first - which is to say, it's still pretty darn amazing. There are over 400 locations, including a HUGE map of the moon. Seriously, don't get lost. Not only that, you travel in time and space, going backwards and forwards to new dimensions where you play one of the most fascinating puzzles I've ever encountered. The storyline is about the same as the first - make the Moon green again. You have to brew more potions, collect more object, and talk to characters in medieval villages and the future. As you play, don't forget to save your game a LOT. If you don't, you'll die - seriously. Many of the locations are lethal. The only parts I didn't like were the arcade-style Asteroids, and I see from the other reviewers I'm not alone. Luckily, there's a Skip option which, sadly, I had to use in the end. If you liked Green Moon and City of Fools as well as intense, long gameplay, this is a great option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from YES! I've been waiting for this one for nearly a year! Green Moon II, like its predecessor, is a challenging first person adventure that expert gamers will love. A brief tutorial orients you to the interface, then the hand-holding is over and you’re left alone to figure out how to accomplish the tasks given you. The tasks are described in detail in the book, including a checklist of items to collect, areas to locate, or actions to perform. Your goal is to discover why the beautifully verdant moon you created in Green Moon has reverted to a lifeless desert, put a stop to it, and restore it to a life-supporting body. Several items are available to help you in your quest: • The BOOK, at top right, which delineates your current objective. • The QUESTION MARK, just below the book, which gives you hints about each part of the objective. You only get a brief clue, though, not a huge arrow pointing toward the answer. These are actually hints. • The AMULET, at bottom right, which holds your powers. You begin with two—the (blue) power of transportation and the (green) power of health—and acquire more as the game progresses. • The MOON MAP, at bottom left, which allows you to transport around the surface of the moon. (You’ll need the green power quite frequently on the moon at first, just to be able to breathe. Fortunately, when you begin running out of oxygen, you can just use the blue power to transport somewhere else until the green power regenerates.) Additionally, there are a plethora of objects strewn about that you can gather and use singly and in combination. Plus items are not indicated in your inventory, so a bit of common sense experimentation is necessary. (I was pleasantly surprised that my intuition about the moon globe was correct.) Meticulous observation is a necessity in adventure games, as I was reminded when I inadvertently discovered that the “go back” hotspot did not lead me to the previous area, but to a brand new one. Which quite nicely “unstuck” me and allowed me to progress. Adventure games do have learning curves. The graphics are beautifully dimensional, with lifelike textures and appropriate use of light and shadow. Animation, when it’s used, is smooth. I found the music an improvement from the first episode, nicely ambient but with certain themes still recognizable. The only voiceover, the intro narration, was professional. Overall, a wonderfully immersive environment. I purchased this game the instant I finished the demo, so I obviously recommend it. And I hope this dev will bring us many more pure first person adventures like this one! Now, I’m off to rebuild my alchemical set up, because I need some coffee.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a game! This one is a headache Green Moon 2 is the hardest game I've ever played, yet the most rewarding. You don't have that feeling that everything in the game is tailored towards something predictable. This time if you guess what to do next, this is an accomplishment itself. But, if you cannot guess, find or simply use the walkthrough, there is a hint for you. I liked to explore hundreds locations, and some of the don't have any use. They are there for you just for fun! Can you imagine this? Something in a game just for fun? I died like twice just searching the Pyramids. This is another fun feature... everybody dies and GM2 points it out. You can skip those HARD mini-games and I did. Asteroid shooting was too much for me. Come on, folks, this is AN ADVENTURE! REAL! You may not like it because you play easy stuff, but there is no need to play if you don't like challenge. You have your warning. Visual style is great, but I didn't like the black stripes on the side of the screen. Everybody does 16:9 screen dimension now, the devs should have done also. But, not to mention that blunt, the game is AMAZING! A fresh brain candy for those, who know how to chew it. Voted up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Very cool game. I really enjoyed the first one. It was challenging and fun and this is not lacking anything like the first one. This game is super addicting and for the price it's a great challenging deal! Recommend highly!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game I really liked this game. It reminded me of several games that I like to play all rolled into one. I had never heard of this game before and I am glad I found it. It is a neat adventure that you have to figure out and find stuff and put things together in order to advance to the next level. I think that this will become a family favorite. My son said that he has played similar games and he likes this one better because there is no time limit to figure out things. My son thinks that the graphics on this are very good, awesome. Those were his exact words. I received this game for a discount for my honest opinion. #greenmoon2

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hey, how could I miss it? The game is good, famous and long awaited. I just accidently found it. Nobody likes challenge anymore? Yea, this is understandable, nowadays, brain teasers are not what they call them. Green Moon 2 is everything the puzzle genre consists of: extremely hard mini-games, twisted and sometimes not quite intuitive gameplay, cryptic hints and a big space for exploring. I especially liked the Pirate and the Jew seller at the Wild West. This is a true adventure, with many characters, locations, untraditional tasks and really specific sense of humor. I like it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As good as the original The first Green Moon is second only to City of Fools in my list of favourite games so I bought this sequel without hesitation. It has the same style of gameplay as the first game, with fairly simple navigation and no annoying hidden object scenes. You can travel quite easily through different dimensions and each area only has a few areas to explore. Green Moon 2 is basically an extension of the first game and that's just fine with me. It is probably an acquired taste as it doesn't have the same kind of cutesy sort of interactive feel as other games. No annoying little helper either! You have hints as you need them but you are still expected to think for yourself. Please, developers, more games in the vein of Green Moon and City of Fools!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A game that literally makes you use your brain! No give mes here! I am glad I bought this game. Though I've only played it for short time I had to comment on it. This game is truly the essence of what a hidden object puzzle adventure game should be. It holds true to the classics (like the Myst series). Yes this game isn't easy, it makes you search everywhere, it makes you have to figure things out, and, at times, it makes you frustrated! But most of all makes you THINK! So, if you are a gamer that DOES NOT: Want everything given to you; Need a map that shows where to find everything; Sparkles that show all hidden things; Or a hand that holds yours... this game is for you! So, there should be no whining...just a good ahhh! after accomplishing a task after figuring out what to do! And gain a few more strong brain cells. MAKE SURE TO SAVE YOUR GAME OFTEN!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This game is true quest! Be prepared for difficult tasks, to make the green moon again. Each new task opens new worlds and locations, unlike each other. Every world has own style and audio. You will find a lot of items, but inventory has enough space for all items. Found items must be properly configured and used (in some cases using the skills). Hint gives only the direction of the search an item, instead of magic arrows or teleports. Puzzles give brain a relax. But not asteroids. I played this game 7 times for win. In general, Green Moon 2 is interesting and exciting game!
