Rated 5 out of 5 by from great game I really enjoyed this game. The puzzles are not real hard but not to easy either. If you like really challenging puzzles you may be disappointed in that regard. the story the puzzles everything fit together very well. This was rated by several sites I looked at as the number one hidden object game, the year it came out. This is why I got it , and I was not disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great story! Lots of fun What a great story! A classic story made into a game. It was easy to follow, the characters made sense, the locations made sense, and it was just one of those games that is worth your time. I played in custom mode so didn't use hints or sparkles or anything like that. So the review below is based on that: The map is interactive. You can click on the map to see areas that you have something to do. However, the locations have a name but as you move about with the cursor, you are not told the name of the room you are entering. For instance, if the map says you have something to do in the Secret Room you need to know what the Secret Room looks like as there are no names given as you enter. The map will allow you to go there so that's a possible solution. The games were quite easy. This is the only ding on this game. The HOPs were varied and easy to determine the objects. Others have detailed what types of HOPs are used so will not be discussed here. The end was complete and didn't leave you wondering where the rest of the game was. Gotta love the games that actually conclude. :-) This was not a long game but really worth your time and money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Living Legends: Bound by Wishes Sit back with a cup of coffee and enjoy! This is one of the best games I've played in awhile. Great story line, music, and graphics. Fun puzzles and not too easy or hard. I thoroughly recommend this one. Go and get it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game! There was a beautiful storyline, great puzzle features. The imagery drew you in. There wasn't too much story to take away from the gaming aspects and I enjoyed the variety of puzzles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "Do all the snakes wear crowns here?" Unlike so many here, I am interested in games primarily for the story, for figuring out what to do next, and sometimes for second guessing the denouement, although I am probably equally happy to have figured it out in advance and to be completely surprised. This game let me guess the ending between a half and two thirds through - but still had many surprises for me #and for the protagonist# in the process. The game almost seamlessly weaves two traditional fairy tales with twists of its own. One tale is the Sleeping Beauty, and the other would be a spoiler if I gave the title, so I won't. I was charmed with it. The HOPs, which I do like because they contribute to the story, giving you tools you wouldn't otherwise get, were IMO well balanced between big and lighted enough on the one hand, and cleverly concealing some items but not all on the other. Clues were verbal and silhouettes. Minigames - I like some kinds, don't like others, and will cheerfully skip ones I just hate. If I remember correctly, roses have been a connecting link between the games in this series, and the way these were used contributed to the story in multiple ways.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Fine Game I liked everything about this game except for some of the voiceovers. I guess I disagree with other gamers because some of the voices (the king, for instance) just didn't sound believable, as far as the emotion in them. I can overlook this, however, because the rest of the game was a lot of fun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Rose Between Two Thornes Can Be Deadly Jack Thorne has returned to Wishville to repay his debt to Mayor Tom. After nearly dying last year, you thought nothing would come between you and your husband ever again, but you were wrong, and Jack may have sacrificed his own life to save yours! After waiting patiently for Jack to return for several days, you make the journey to Wishville knowing something is surely wrong. Something is very wrong with this town indeed, because the beautiful flora has been cursed, the entire town fears the wrath of these deadly roses. One thing's for sure, Mayor Tom may be the root of all evil, and may be deadlier than the thorns themselves! I love this fairytale twist about a witch with a spindle, a Mayor who takes advantage of the curse, and an emboldened and unlikely hero, who ironically happens to be a product of the curse. As she tries to save her husband from uncertainty she finds her true calling to be helping the spirits who were unable to pay their debts before death. Could this be her redemption? To find out more about the residents and debtors of Wishville, you will come across Augustine's Casket, a rose adorned box with a thirst for blood. A magic box with the ability to tell you a tale about the person's plight, but only with a drop of familiar Wishville residents blood. I took advantage of today's spectacular Collector's Edition sale and bought that version because there are several Achievements to earn, 25 Collectible (not hidden) Roses, and 25 slow Morphing Objects to discover, which this version doesn't offer. The Hidden Object Scenes are mostly interactive List finds with an abundance of interactions, but there are also Multiple finds and Bold Text findings while a story is told about Wishville, and even multiple finds in a journal. There are several Zoom Zone puzzles as well that require you to find several useful items such as acorns or apples. The Mini Games are familiar, some very easy and others a bit more difficult. The following are brief descriptions of the Mini Games you'll encounter during the demo: 1) Light up the Tokens by pressing them, clicking on one token affects others. 2) Arrange the squirrels according to the sketch by swapping two at a time. 3) Swap blades of the windmill until they match the correct element. 4) Connect the matching symbols by choosing a symbol and dragging an unbroken path between them, without crossing. 5) Restore the image by swapping the tokens and rotating them until all the lines connect, swap tiles, click to rotate. 6) Select section to paint crest then choose one of the bottles to paint that section, the area you paint must be adjacent to the valve. 7) Swap the prince statues so each one is holding a medal, each type has a different weight moving one may shift another statues weight. 8) Arrange the Portraits according to the other character they are connected to using vines and central symbols to guide you. 9) Remove the Runes by matching them. Each round will increase in difficulty and the runes will hide and shift after you choose them. The Collector's Edition has 25 Collectible Flowers, 21 Achievements, 7 Wallpapers, 7 Screensavers, 6 Music Soundtracks, 16 Concept Art pictures, 35 Videos, 25 Morphing Objects, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Adventure, enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE ROSES CAN BE DEADLY When I reviewed the CE release of the game I was so wrong and Living Legends Bound by Wishes is a game that is one of the best I have played this year. Having a great sale and nothing new to play, I ended up purchasing the game and I am so happy that I did. As the game begins your husband, Jack, has left on a mission to the town of Wishville with a promise to return soon. After many days when Jack has not returned you follow after him and this is where your quest begins. I must admit that the game starts out a bit slow but it certainly improves. It took me two days to finish the game as there are many objectives to be fulfilled along the journey to save Jack. The graphics in the game are excellent and quite beautiful. I still have an issue with some of the characters being very flat in appearance but not all of them are that way. There is an interactive map that proved to be quite useful because it directed me to take a second look at locations where I initially missed an item or a task. Periodically we have a feisty squirrel show up who will help us when properly enticed but he is not constantly present in the game. The HOPS and mini-games are excellent and some of them require a lot of patience. The HOPS have a lot of variety and offer almost every style with most of them being quite interactive. Although the mini-games were nothing new, some of them had a higher level of difficulty and require a lot of patience to complete. The CE version of the game does have morphing objects, collectibles, achievements, replay of HOPS and mini-games plus much more. If you like all of these sorts of extras then take a look at the CE. In the end, I did a disservice to the game and the developers in my initial review. I often can make mistakes and this was one of them. The game ended up being terrific and had a lot of entertainment value. I love the way several of my favorite tales were combined into one to make a great storyline. I am so happy that I ended up purchasing the game and I know many of you out there initially saw what I missed. I think that had there been a little more of the wow factor during the demo of the game my opinion would have been far better. However, I hope this review will change the minds of some who originally passed up on the game because it is excellent. As always, please try the demo but keep an open mind because it becomes better as the game progresses.
