Maze: The Broken Tower Collector's Edition is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 74.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mad Head Games has done it again!!!! I cannot say enough good things about the games that Mad Head produces. While I tend to prefer games that center around the paranormal, this game still provided an intense and fun game play. The level of player interaction in games like this one is what truly makes them so enjoyable to play. I don't like providing too many details on the actual game because that takes away from the intensity of the storyline, but if you enjoy Alice in Resident Evil then you should love this game too! Games like this one is what has turned me into a daily Big Fish gamer!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes! Yes! Yes! I am a huge fan of Mystery Case Files and tend to hold all other games to that standard (which is quite a high bar in my opinion). This game surpassed it for me! There are more puzzles than HOS which suits me just fine. Even the HO scenes are varied, have morphing objects to find and sometimes puzzles within the scenes. That keeps it very interesting to me since the usual HOGs to me are as tedious as finding where I left my car keys THIS time. The puzzles are challenging and best for intermediate to advanced players. I'm not sure this would be a good game for beginners. Besides, if a first-timer played this game, all others will pale in comparison. The whole premise in this game is just as creepy as can be. It is not for the faint of heart if you are disturbed by such things as torture and dead bodies. I found myself talking to my computer screen: "Ewwwwww" or "Oh, no!" You will be asked to make choices here and there, and sometimes they don't always turn out well for you. Choose wisely! The music is perfect, the voice of S.A.R.A. is chilling and most of the rest of the voice-overs are good. My only criticism would be that in the beginning, the main character (the one you play) seems to have a more mature voice in the beginning, and a babyish voice from somewhere in the middle until the end. I found it annoying and popped me out of the experience more than once. I highly recommend this game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best hidden objects game. When I started playing this game it reminded me of Resident Evil movie. I enjoyed this game so much that I pray that they make sequels like a lot of games. I will play this game over and over. Try this game and find out great it is. Just love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding It's not often I'm truly drawn in to a game and I mean really drawn in to one. This one ticked all the boxes for me. The story gripped me immediately and continued to until the end. I was gutted when it finished. I loved the setting and genre. We need more like that. I'm getting tired of seeing so many 'fantasy' games set in 'mystical worlds'. Instead this was contemporary, fresh and intelligent. I loved it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Game! I rarely submit reviews for these games. But after I finished the collectors edition of Maze; The Broken Tower, I thought I would write something up. The game was fun! The story line was awesome and it sucked me in. I couldn't stop playing as it was like reading a good book. Graphics were great and the interactive choices you can make were a nice touch!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't bother with collector's edition I loved the main game more than any game in a while. Tight story. Challenging enough to grab my attention, but not so much that I got frustrated. By far the best voice acting I've heard in ages. Overall, so wonderfully creepy, dark, and edgy. The puzzles were solid. I've grown kind of sick of hidden objects, but these were different enough to be enjoyable again. A few nice twists that made the plot fun. I only buy collector's editions for the additional game, not for the music or artwork. And, unfortunately, this extra game did not nearly measure up to the main game. Felt very thrown together, and didn't add a single thing to the wonderful main game. Don't bother with the collector's edition. But do go buy the standard edition, and play it now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from CONGRATULATIONS RESIDENT YOU HAVE BEEN MARKED WITH A COMPLIANCE MONITOR! Mad Head proves once again that they are a force to be reckoned with. They have released fantastic games such as, Cadenza, Shadowplay, Nevertales, Beyond, Shiver, Rite of Passage, Sable Maze, Witches Legacy, Where Angels Cry, Dark Realm, Haunted Hotel, Dark Dimensions, House of 1000 Doors, Empress of the Deep, Twisted Lands, The Secret Order, and of course, Maze Subject 360.This game centers around technology gone rogue, but the technologies Mad Head games use are cutting edge and almost always computer generated with real actors. If I'm not mistaken the voice of the main character in this game is by Lani Minella, and she does a fantastic job, she's very believable. When the Gehenna Towers were built, they were equipped with a highly advanced artificial intelligence technology called S.A.R.A. Unfortunately, she took on a mind of her own, residents started disappearing, and now the Towers are slated to be demolished! You and your boss Ted are about to do a walkthrough of this magnificent building, when Ted unknowingly steps into the elevator after Liz awakens S.A.R.A. Now your only hope for survival is compliance! This game reminds me of a novel that was made into a movie in the 70's called Demon Seed. Similar to S.A.R.A, an artificial intelligence took over an entire house. That movie wasn't all that great, but this game is fantastic, and certainly a worthy sequel to Maze: Subject 360. Like most Mad Head games, this game is very realistic, and the music does a great job of controlling your emotions. The only "prop" you have other than a journal, are Night Vision Goggles" to help you see in the dark, there's even an HOP that requires you to use them! There are 29 Hidden Signs (those well known spirals) and a whole slew of Achievements to earn in gold silver and bronze categories in this Collector's Edition. My only complaint is that they decided to put the Morphing Objects in the HOP's, a feature I really hate. I think most gamers want Morphs in each location NOT in the HOP's, but I'm sure it's easier to remove Morphs from the HOP's when they release the Standard Edition. One thing I have noticed in many of the games by this dev is that they like to add Easter Eggs, and they will often have newspaper photos or pictures hanging that are from one of their other games, so keep your eyes peeled to see if they have done that in this game as well. The Hidden Object Scenes offer nothing new so far, but I will admit that some of the items are very well blended into the scene, so kudo's on stumping me, I liked the challenge. There are Interactive List finds, Keywords during an orientation, Silhouetted Shape finds, item that you take from the inventory bar and place into the scene correctly, and even smaller Zoom Zone HOP's where you just need to find a handful of items. The Mini Games are unique, and appropriate for the theme of the game. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo: 1) Drag a line between two or more identical colored dots, either horizontally, vertically or diagonally, to turn them all white. 2) Fill the energy cell to the indicated level using directional arrows to fill and drain cells. 3) Repeat the sequence of two fist lighting up. 4) Place torn newspaper fragments correctly. 5) Arrange the shapes so they point to their matching colored lights, using the center wheel to move and rotate the tracks. 6) Find misplaced items within three different scenes and place them correctly. 7) Select and drag flags so that they match the picture clue, moving one may affect others. This Collector's Edition has 28 Collectible Hidden Signs, 18 replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 14 Achievements to earn, 16 Wallpapers, downloadable Music Soundtracks, Jigsaw Puzzles, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Adventure, enjoy, but only after you comply with S.A.R.A!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you are fed up with Ogres, and Little Helpers, this is a Must This is my type of game, I have become quite bored of the fantasy games involving fairies, ogres, princesses and the like. This is more up my street and has been executed perfectly. Great graphics, features, voiceovers and not over powered by HOS. Has everything I want in a game, a great storyline (won't give it away, other reviews have given all the information required), a jump Map, journal and other little gems. Like the choice element of the game, giving the player more control over the game, but as has been said, you can recover from misjudged choices. As good if not better as Maze 360. Thank you, please more like this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply Wow I haven't played or bought a game in a while, seems like you play one you seen them all, This one is excellent!!! Have to have it, I have praised these devs before regarding their imagination, but this one is totally Whoaaaa. Amazing. The surprise with the hallway in the demo. What? How do they come up with this? Anyway, love the graphics, the voiceovers, the gameplay and of course, the story. Never realizing the demo would end eventually, I had to stop to buy it, Ha. The night vision goggles are amazing, love the reality in how they work and look. They simply have outdone themselves and it could easily be the game of the year, in my opinion, but not every one will enjoy it, of course. There is so much to do and look at, investigate, rotate etc. It is a bit eerie, because of the " robotic " atmosphere . You have your morphs and collectibles and the Hops and not so easy Mini games. I will not go into the story, it has already been described, but you have to go through it yourself, it gets a hold of you. Thank you for creating a game that keeps my interest and I truly enjoy playing. We need more like this. I definitely recommend!! Now I have to go back playing....... Enjoy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Game I Have Seen In Years This game is thrilling. It sets the bar so much higher for other developers to keep up with this innovative group of devs. I have just completed the demo. The game kept my interest and excitement level high throughout the demo. There is never a dull moment (which is not the case with 90% of other games). This is scary and surprising. Most of all, this is a really fun game for many, many reasons. One of the reasons is that this game is more interactive than most because of some new ideas the devs put into it. I won't give it away so other players can discover the innovations themselves. It really makes you think. Just go or it. This is a MUST BUY for me.
