Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty solid SE choice. This is pretty much your standard HO game, in that it mainly involves gathering a lot of "stuff", & the basic storyline (good vs. evil) is typical, though given a bit of a facelift w/ the injection of elves & a post-apocalyptic setting. That said, it's a pretty solid game. The graphics range from good to excellent. There's a nice variety of mini-games, & they all seem "doable" to me, so long as one doesn't just flat detest mini-games. ;) The HO scenes, for the most part, aren't interactive, but despite that, I thought the devs did a good job of being creative & offering variety w/ the way they're presented. I actually purchased the CE version of this game, but given that there's few collectibles & the bonus chapter is somewhat on the short side, this is probably one of those games that offers better value in the SE version. My one strong criticism of this game is that there seem to be a lot of instances where the game is structured to move slowly (something that drives me a little crazy), but unfortunately, that's the case w/ a lot of games these days. Finally, re the sky-lining, there's not as much of it in the game overall as is suggested by the demo (I mention this because I know some folks found that one really long sequence in the demo off-putting). There's a variation of a match three mini-game you play each time you upgrade your device, which is done the first time in the demo, & something like five times in the game overall; as w/ the other mini-games, you can skip it if you don't care for it. As someone who's always on the look-out for "coupon worthy" SEs, I try to call attention to those I think are, when I'm aware of them...& in my opinion, this game is definitely worth doing the demo, & seeing what you think.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Yes, but . . . So, after playing Mad Head's 'Adam Wolfe - Flames of Time' and posting the most rave review I have ever written for a game, I expected a little more from this developer than I got from 'Dawn of Hope - Skyline Adventure.' Oh, the graphics and so on are definitely up to par, and here comes the but . . . But the story line was nothing new —father sick, go on a quest to find a cure, and so on. Two of the first characters you meet, apart from our very athletic heroine, are an Elf queen and a dwarf. Say, did you watch the Lord of The Rings trilogy? Remember the character played by Cate Blanchett, and Gimle (or however his name is spelled)? Well, that's the queen and dwarf in this game! Okay, I really don't really have a problem with that, I liked the trilogy, and this gave me a chuckle. So, you're probably thinking, here comes the 'do not to buy' pitch. Sorry to disappoint you but, overall, this is a fun game to play —despite this old man having to play another female protagonist!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from And interesting premise that didn't live up to its promise I expected a lot more from this since it got good reviews on independent site I frequent, but I found it was just more of the same-old, same-old. Essentially it was a rehashing of the typical fairy tale HOA except the fairies and monsters have been moved into a post-apocalyptic setting. So while it could have been imaginative it just wasn't. Also, small tasks like getting a meal together took an inordinate amount of time whereas important ones seemed to breeze by, which gave me a sense of disjointed gameplay; ideally tasks should sync up with what is going on in the story and progress the plot, instead of simply filling time between one scene and the next. The scenes were beautifully illustrated, but I don't play games like these for the scenery alone... some challenge and originality in the gameplay are needed too. Unfortunately Skyline Adventure is quite short on that.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not All That Interesting premise, but after playing the entire demo, I came away unimpressed. Much of the game play seemed silly to me, for example her swinging around with the grappling hook, and the crystal tool maker which was really just a match 3 puzzle. Lots of little incongruities as well, like how did she know how to make various pre-apocalyptic technologies work. I think the storyline might make a better teen sci-fi novel than a HOPA game. Come to think of it, the A was minimal; mostly it was just going from to HOS to puzzle to HOS and repeat, with some swinging and climbing in between. Maybe things improve after the demo portion of the game, but I'm not inclined to test that theory, even with a game credit. But as always, try it and judge for yourself.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from one direction game One directional game where you don't get to explore places but is like playing one scene at at time, then get over and move on. I don't enjoy such games.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for me I just tried the game last night. I played the free to play version and was not intrigued at all. You waste time by having to use your grappling hook swing around from place to place. The story line was good but the hidden object scenes were only so so. I personally would not waste a dime on this game.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Boring game I found this game exceedingly boring. It seemed like all I did was wait for the characters to have a conversation, then do a couple things. Puzzles very simple
