Dawn of Hope: Skyline Adventure is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from YOUR FATHER AND YOUR WORLD ARE DYING!!! CAN YOU OFFER ANY HOPE?!? I BELIEVE YOU CAN!! I found this to be a terrific Fantasy sci-fi adventure. It is beautiful, humorous(i.e. "memory relic"= camcorder), romantic, and... devastating! The world is dying and so is your father and only your ancestor holds the key! The Elvin kind are trying to help you locate the "nucleus" which will heal and save all that is wrong, however, I can't shake the feeling I get when she glances upon me with her hazy shifty eye's. I must admit though, the purple is quite lovely. Hmmm, Elves versus Humans?? I guess only time will tell. Based on COMPLETED game: -The game isn't polluted with H.O.'s which is nice and most are interactive like making your father a meal. -The puzzles are fair to intermediate like rotating blocks to unlock the machine which holds the nucleus. -The game length for me was @ 4 hours. I wish it was longer and this is a big reason I only voted 4 stars. This game is a solid one and I can't imagine anyone who loves the fantasy genre being disappointed. Then again, that's what the demo is for. Enjoy! Other great games in this genre- -Lost Lands series -Dark Realm series Other great games coming soon- -Saga of the Nine worlds "The Gathering"

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A new legend is born This is a game about Elvens vs Humans. The graphics and settings are exceptionally beautiful, creative, and marvelous to look at. The gameplay is just OK for me. Hardcore mode doesn't allow Hint, Skip, helpful messages, map clues, etc. I think it would be a hard game to play without helpful messages. One schtick involves adding certain items to a grappling hook in order to progress through certain areas, and the new tool requires playing a match-3 type rune game, which starts out easy but becomes increasingly harder in 2nd half of game. Items to find in order to progress aren't always logical, requiring Hint. HOPs are standard fare, and puzzles are nothing special. I give the devs kudos for exceptionally beautiful game to play, but they tried to be too smart by measures when it came to the mini puzzles, which I didn't enjoy all that much. The story is OK, but not memorable. I still recommend the game because it's a beautiful imaginary world that is fun to explore.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not All That Interesting premise, but after playing the entire demo, I came away unimpressed. Much of the game play seemed silly to me, for example her swinging around with the grappling hook, and the crystal tool maker which was really just a match 3 puzzle. Lots of little incongruities as well, like how did she know how to make various pre-apocalyptic technologies work. I think the storyline might make a better teen sci-fi novel than a HOPA game. Come to think of it, the A was minimal; mostly it was just going from to HOS to puzzle to HOS and repeat, with some swinging and climbing in between. Maybe things improve after the demo portion of the game, but I'm not inclined to test that theory, even with a game credit. But as always, try it and judge for yourself.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from And interesting premise that didn't live up to its promise I expected a lot more from this since it got good reviews on independent site I frequent, but I found it was just more of the same-old, same-old. Essentially it was a rehashing of the typical fairy tale HOA except the fairies and monsters have been moved into a post-apocalyptic setting. So while it could have been imaginative it just wasn't. Also, small tasks like getting a meal together took an inordinate amount of time whereas important ones seemed to breeze by, which gave me a sense of disjointed gameplay; ideally tasks should sync up with what is going on in the story and progress the plot, instead of simply filling time between one scene and the next. The scenes were beautifully illustrated, but I don't play games like these for the scenery alone... some challenge and originality in the gameplay are needed too. Unfortunately Skyline Adventure is quite short on that.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for me I just tried the game last night. I played the free to play version and was not intrigued at all. You waste time by having to use your grappling hook swing around from place to place. The story line was good but the hidden object scenes were only so so. I personally would not waste a dime on this game.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from one direction game One directional game where you don't get to explore places but is like playing one scene at at time, then get over and move on. I don't enjoy such games.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Boring game I found this game exceedingly boring. It seemed like all I did was wait for the characters to have a conversation, then do a couple things. Puzzles very simple
