Rated 4 out of 5 by from What Did They Do To Our Beloved Alice Images? These pictures, IMO, are not necessarily ugly. I think they are just not the typical sweet images we love so dearly. The recent dark-style Alice movies and these pictures have similarities. I think the colors are nice and bright and most of the images are fine. Whether we call it a jigsaw or a mosaic matters little, as it is still a puzzle. This one certainly is not what we normally see representing a children's tale and that bothers me somewhat. In this regard, I can agree that difference is sometimes not so appealing. The one thing, however, I always greatly dislike, are these "models??", "posers??" who I believe absolutely ruin the photo with their silly poses, make-up, costumes, etc. The others pictures in this set of puzzles really are not bad, but definitely out of the ordinary for Alice. I worked 8 of these and quit the demo to write my review. No need to go any further with it. I did enjoy the ones I completed and was happy to see the relaxed mode, since that is how I usually play. I believe the features offered were the same as we normally find with this type of puzzle. The differences in imagery thus far were interesting enough to make me want to see the entire package. So I will purchase on Bonus Punch Monday with a coupon. I sincerely don't feel my decision will bring me any disappointment. God Bless....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I LIKE this one I have other jigsaws by 8floor games, Alice's Patchwork and Frozen Patchworks, and I have played them many times. This game would fit right in. It isn't REALLY a jigsaw it's more of a fill in the spaces. The pictures on this one are really different in that they are on the darker side but it is based loosely on the grimmer Alice movie. Graphics are good and game play is tricky. So many of the pieces look similar that it's easy to drop it in the wrong spot and either lose that check or start over. So far I've played in the timed mode but there is a relaxed mode also which I would switch to as the puzzles progress and become more difficult. I recommend this one especially if you have played the two I mentioned and I think you'll like it. Play the demo first and decide and remember, despite it's name, it isn't really a jigsaw in the traditional sense. Have fun!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from terrible pictures I've tremendously enjoyed other patchwork mosaic puzzles, so this is very disappointing. I had a hard time seeing the outline for pieces starting with the 3rd level. Don't like the artwork at all.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Where's Alice? I normally enjoy these types of games, I find them relaxing and can zone out and get away from the stress in my life. Unfortunately, this is a dreary, bordering on odd, little game. First of all, I would say only ten percent of the photos have anything to do with Alice in Wonderland. Most of the solutions were either food (cupcakes, pies) or locations which seemed to be of European influence. One picture was of a lady playing the harp and several were of architecture and rooms of houses. Still have no idea why the developers say it's based on Alice. Obviously, they've never read the book or seen any of the movies. The mechanics of the game are the usual for this type. You can play in time or untimed mode which is great. And the music is soothing and relaxing. So bottom line, it's not about Alice, a lot of the jigsaw pieces are dark and you can't see them against the dark background. And you will find yourself mumbling "what has this got to do with Alice?" while you're trying to figure out what the heck the photo is supposed to be while you're attempting to solve it. If none of this will bother you, then go for it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not at all a jigsaw puzzle This is not a jigsaw puzzle. This is a mosiac puzzle. I don't like mosiac puzzles much, but have played some. They are usually very challenging and the graphics are usually always stunning. This one is pretty lame. Colors, graphics and subject matter are not interesting. I guess if you really like mosiacs, try the sample first. But I wouldn't waste an hour on it (even tho I did). In other words: there goes an hour of my life I'll never get back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ugly Uninteresting Pictures It's no secret that I'm a puzzle geek, but the pictures have to appeal to my tastes, and most of these pictures are ugly, or just plain old boring. As far as Mosaics go, the features are decent, although nothing new. You can play in a timed mode or relaxed, untimed mode, and there is a left handed option as well. There is also a visible timer, which is a feature they don't always offer. The goals are simple, drag picture fragments from the Ribbon (inventory bar on right or left side depending on the option you choose) and place the fragments onto the picture correctly. You will receive a Key for completing the puzzle, a Key for completing the puzzle within the allotted time, and a Key for no mistakes. You can purchase more time or more hints with the coins earned. As you progress, the fragments become smaller and less of the picture is shown at the start which can become quite frustrating in the Timed mode. If these pictures appeal to your inner puzzle geek, then you've got yourself a great Mosaic puzzle game, but if they don't, I'd pass this one up.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I tried, but it was simply too ugly Couldn't get through the free trial. The pictures are hideous and plain. Imagine you are a kid and loved a particular movie, and you ask your parents for a jigsaw puzzle of it. So your parents find ugly photos vaguely similar to the movie with various other objects cut and pasted into the scene. That collage was then printed and cut up, preschool level jagged with a pair of clunky scissors, and finally presented to you with a "Ta-duh!" You'd be scarred for life. You'd also have better pictures than what is in here. That being said it is at least extra challenging. Its hard to guess placement of objects that wouldn't normally be there. That wonderful sense of accomplishment I get after finishing a puzzle is instead replaced with an "ewww" when I saw each completed picture, which made it a pass for me.
