Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waiting for a game like this for a long time!!! I like the HOG, the timeline, the music make you feel more suspence (even when I though she is investigating and the serial killer is not around. Where he gone)? Also I found it difficult to do in 90 minutes I love that!. I wonder how long this adventure would take?? So I'm going to buy this one; but cant buy the CE because it doesn't have extra games. THANKS for create a good game, guys!!! OH, some scenes were too dark but sound is Perfect I like the HOG, the timeline, the music make you feel more suspence (even when I though she is investigating and the serial killer is not around. Rated 5 out of 5 by from FIND THE GUILTY MAN SERIAL KILLER BEFORE HE STRIKES AGAIN I really like how this game unfolds and keeps you busy until the end of the demo. The pace is just right for me and even though it's set up so you really can't fail, the challenge is there as the excitement builds through the music. The visuals are very well done and the storyline is sound. It makes sense and since I'm not into magic and fantastical imagery, I like the realism and plausibility. You are on the case of what appears to be a serial killer who is back out killing off the jurors who put him behind bars. I'm not sure if that's the final outcome, but that just adds to the need to see how it ends. The demo walks you through every step of the investigation, including the lab work, which is not too difficult or annoying. And I enjoyed the way the story writer included lots of secret locks and hiding places. It's on my list to purchase and I highly recommend this game. Thanks, Mia. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the game !! This HOG, which is by Brave Giant Studios, is one of those rare games I enjoy playing these days. I love the story and the gameplay. I love the puzzles I have come across so far, because they were easy enough for me to do, and they were fun. I also love the hidden object scenes, which are often interactive, and one of the items you need to find always morphs. Collectables are many and there is a nice selection of them. Although the Collectables don't show up in the demo's Strategy Guide, they are there in the demo game's scenes for you to click on and collect. The variety of Collectables makes this game CE-worthy for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gary Fields - GUILTY REVIEW FROM COMPLETED GAME AND BONUS You play a cop, Emily Meyer, to track down Gary Fields, a serial killer. This takes place in the game and bonus. You also have Susan, a physic, who helps you throughout the game and bonus. There is: * Voiceovers (with dialogue); * Casual, Advanced, Expert and Custom modes of play; * Interactive map; * Diary; * 22 Achievements; * Find 10 pictures, 20 tarot cards and 5 pieces of equipment. You have a forensics kit with you to test blood samples, fingerprints and bullets. You do each one once. You will also have a forge to mix elements to use in limbo land which you will use quite a bit. The graphics are very good. Everywhere is kind of gritty and dirty - just like a cop show, which is based in Boston. I loved roaming around the scenes. Sound is good and the music is orchestral and piano. The hidden object games are slightly interactive straightforward and silhouette which have morphing objects in them as well. There are also various HOPs with 12 items to find. Items are clear to see and find and each one only takes a couple of minutes. You can also play Shuffle to break up the HOPs, if you wish. The mini-games are fun to do. None of these are too hard or frustrating. There are a good variety to conquer and each one only takes a few minutes. I managed to get 21 achievements, but missed out on an achievement where I failed to find one of the pictures. I enjoyed playing Emily Meyer - she gets shot, knocked-out, is in a car crash and falls down a deep hole - just to name a few. All up the game and bonus took me about 6 hours to play and I enjoyed every minute, so well done Boris and the team. Definitely comes recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally! A good old fashioned whodunnit! It seems like I've been waiting forever for a straightforward mystery to solve. The graphics are great, the storyline is intriguing, and the mini games don't require a masters degree in physics and/or engineering to solve. This is a definite buy for me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a real whodunit awesome game! Question by another reviewer, "Would I buy a CE when the extras are hidden until the game is purchased?" Answer: Yes I would in a New York minute! I don't purchase a CE for the extras or the collectibles, I purchase the game for the game. And this game is awesome! The story is awesome to where i have to see the rest of it. The VO's are superb (even the main character has a voice) and so is the actual game play. To me anyways, it makes me feel like I am playing in the game. I do want to suggest that you take the tutorial on the forensic kit. It did confuse me on what you had to do. But the guide does help and gets you through too. Graphics: Beautifully done. They really gave it the spooky feel and the ambiance. Music: It fit really well with the game. It added to the spookiness of the game. H0GS: Find one or two objects to use on items in the scene, list of words with green words for extra steps and silhouettes. That was what I played in the demo. Mini Games: A chess one to turn on all the lights to unlock a lock, a lock pick one, a story one where you had to find the objects in the scene to continue with the story, just a nice variety and not taxing, just fun. Map: Gave the exclamation point to indicate there is something to do there. Another indication of where you are, and of course a jump map. To me this is above a five star game. Kudos to the developers for making such fantastic game. I would highly recommend this game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extraorinary! Remarkable experience! Interesting HO and mini games. Great mystery case just waiting to be solved. Sound is interesting in the demo and visual are quite good. Story is set for an presumable twist for the demo, but we will see how it goes. To sum it up, great game for the free trial.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NO VACATION FOR YOU EMILY – LOCATE THE GUILTY MAN IN A SERIAL KILLER CASE 4 Chapters plus a Bonus Chapter – Strategy Guide: 61 Pages OVERVIEW: A serial killer, “The Guilty Man” is on the loose! Play Emily, a detective for the Boston Police Department. When your partner in crime alerts you that he is leaving for vacation, it is up to you to solve this case on your own. No sunny beaches for you, Emily! Instead, you will be collecting and analyzing evidence while trekking through the alleys and broken-down, rat-infested tenements in the seamier side of Boston. However, you will be offered some unsolicited help from Sarah, a psychic detective. In this case, you may want to take any help you can get! This case won’t be easy, Detective! This is a good whodunit for murder mystery buffs and wannabe detectives. The game is old-school with scenes which are dark and dreary showing the seedier part of a big city. The characters are one-dimensional. You play a detective with your own forensic kit to collect and analyze blood samples and fingerprints. You even carry your own microscope with you as you amble through those tenement houses. There are several collectibles including pictures of serial killers, tarot cards, and pieces of forensic equipment. And here is a final note for your case file - this case won’t be easy but the puzzles are! HOP SCENES: The HOP scenes are replicas of those seen in other HOP games. There are two types in the demo – lists of items and silhouette. In one of the silhouette scenes you locate the items and then interact with them within the scene. They are somewhat interactive and the lists of items have morphing objects within the scenes. You have the option to play a Matching game in lieu of the scenes. PUZZLES: Easy breezy sailing through this game! There are plenty of activities and puzzles within the game. There is a fingerprint puzzle in which you pass a magnifying glass over a fingerprint to locate five identifiers. There is a lock puzzle using a code. Other puzzles include a chess puzzle involving a knight, another lock puzzle using a numbered code, and two matching puzzles. LEVELS: Casual, Advanced, Expert, Custom Hints (HOP scenes): 2 to 240 seconds Hints: (General) and skips: 10 to 120 seconds EXTRAS: Map is provided as you play the game 22 Achievements Forensic kit to help in solving the cases. Collect 10 Pictures of Serial Killers, 20 Tarot cards, and 5 pieces of equipment Morphing objects (within the HOP scenes) Nothing given on wallpapers, music, or videos HERE ARE THE DETAILS (SPOILERS) FOR THOSE WANT MORE INFORMATION ON THE HOP SCENES AND PUZZLES IN SEQUENCE HOP SCENES: Play a Matching Game instead. (A) List of items (B) Silhouette (C) Silhouette – Locate and interact with the scene with the items (D) List of items PUZZLES: They are all easy A. Lock puzzle. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really good game This is the best hidden object game I have played in awhile. The story line is cohesive and captivating, the HOS and puzzles have just the right amount of challenge (for me, anyway) This is not a short game, so don't be deceived by the few chapters...each one is lengthy. There were a few minor spelling errors but not enough to detract from the overall quality of the game.
