Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Not an unusual premis but very well executed. Imaginatively well drawn, Sound was excellent quality and the music was appropriate and of an exceptionally good quality. For me, the story is the thing, so I usually put the difficulty level at Casual. Some of the puzzles were too simplistic and others were too tedious but on the whole I have seldom enjoyed a game as much as I did this one. Thank you everyone responsible, for bringing it to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Be still my beating heart! I love this game! Let me just preface it to say that this is about the best and most pleasant game I have encountered in a long time. Mad Head Game Developers, bravo! I mean the special effects and cut scenes alone are exceptional! The graphics are divine! The music is great and not annoying, and the puzzles and mini-games rock! The HOPs are unique as well. I could go on and on but you must at least try the game. Nevertales: The Forgotten Pages CE version truly is one of my favorites. I have almost completed the Main Game and looking forward to the Bonus Game. There is one negative, however, I'm still rating this game a 5-star regardless--there were several misspelled words in the journal and in some of the script/text. There were grammar errors as well. Be it for me to judge because I make mistakes now and then, too. To err is human; to forgive divine! Why then am I pointing this out? Well, it stood out like a sore thumb and perhaps Mad Head will take this into account with their next great creation! Anyway, the word "probably" in the text was misspelled; the word "meant" in the journal was misspelled. Still the game had me hooked from the very beginning. Loved the strategy of the game. The voiceovers were wonderful. The storyline was snap on awesome! Very clever tasks, too! Great game-play and flow! Love finding the Heart of the Story Signs, and the morphing objects in the HOPs. There are other items to find within the game, too. One other thing I'd like to mention about these developers is the fact that when you had 1 of 3 items to complete a whole, you were able to use whatever you had at the time to add to the item without waiting to accumulate all three. This helps eliminate the clutter in your inventory. Good thinking, developers! I highly recommend this game! There were no lulls in the game and the scenes moved smoothly. Great job, developers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crazy crazy worlds! I loved story plot for this game and was thrilled by excursion to wild west aesthetics! Also HO scenes are interesting and I loved way multiple yet intertwined zooming on locations is functioning leading me to conclusions about what to do or what to search! Real nice job!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Heart of Your [creator's] Story My new fav. By playing it, I discovered bit by bit new features, original puzzles and that was a gaming unmatched surprise! What a clever game. I might not agree with its aesthetics completely, but it consists of really-really clever and unique components, all the way to the end. You must find collectibles in the form of books with a heart in the center plus morphing objects in the mini HOG interactive puzzles. The imprint on the typemachine of the items you must find, in the interactive puzzles, is particularly clever. Another clever puzzle concerns your entry to the elevator, plus the idea when you must following (with the arrows) the beast flying in the abandened cowboy city. Even the menu is completely differently "staged". I really liked the performance in terms of speakage of the witch-cat. And the cherry on top being the flying broom... vroom, vroom! Like the best surprise party ever, I was really thrilled by playing this game. Bravo!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is one fab game! I have over 200 games and am enjoying this one immensely. Playing on hard core. It has real challenge. 5 stars all the way from one of my fav series!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clever Story with a Fun Twist + Engaging Puzzles This game was more imaginative than most of the games in this category. The storyline was unique and you play as two different characters, a woman in the main storyline, and a guy in the bonus chapter. (I don't think the bonus chapter is necessary, to be honest? It didn't add much to the story, although it was still enjoyable.) The story builds upon itself and delivers an interesting twist, and game play is not dragged out too long. The games are challenging and not nonsensical as they often are in some of these games. Nice collectibles hidden on each screen. Really pretty graphics and music, edited very well. Well worth playing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Those Mad Heads have done it again! Excellent! Exceptional! Extraordinary! There aren't enough superlatives for this game. I was so entranced by the story and the game that I became completely immersed, and the real world around me simply disappeared. The music was so unobtrusive, that I often didn't even hear it. When I did, it was perfect for the scene. The graphics! I could have stayed for hours in the hay loft! The quality of light, feeling of comfort...so real! The characters were beautifully drawn and animated, as was all the scenery. I was bowled over by the clever use of the typewriter and phone in those two HOPs. Great imagination, MH! The games were great, though I have to admit, I missed the "completed all games without skipping" achievement. It's a problem with me, not the game. I simply can't do those games where you have to avoid obstacles while moving forward. Other games were great, some really challenging, some a "gimme". The only downfall I met in the game was the misspellings. Yes, I am a card carrying member of the grammar and spelling police and "starecase" jolted me back to reality like a glass of cold water in the face. I get that most of these games are produced in Eastern Europe, and I say GOOD ON YOU for you hard work to keep us entertained and playing. But, please have a native English (or whatever language they are being translated into) read prior to final publication. The errors will never stop me from buying MH games, though! They are just TOO GOOD! Do I recommend this game? You bet your sweet patootie I do! More, please! More!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Excellent Game One of my favorite aspects of this game is that the scenes are zoomed in closer, and none are burdening. The story and game flows excellently without tedious back-tracking. The music and atmospheres are excellent. I did breeze through it, even set to 'hardcore' skill level. But that's fine, I actually prefer it that way. Well, done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it! This is my favorite game so far this year. I enjoyed everything, even puzzles, which aren't my favorite. The HOPS were innovative and fun and I got so involved in them I almost forgot to look for the morphing objects. Thanks Mad Head for a wonderful ride.
