Rated 5 out of 5 by from I HATE IT WHEN THE DEMO ENDS JUST WHEN I WAS CLOSE TO BEATING THE LEVEL! I always know a Match 3 game is good when the demo expires and I'm so engrossed that the abrupt ending takes me by surprise.Although this game is similar to all the Match 3 games by this dev, same music, same morphing tile bubbles to pop, same features, I really enjoyed playing it. It's even better with today's sale price! You can play in a Timed or Relaxed mode with no time restrictions. Ebbo the Halfling, was strolling through the forest one day, when he discovered a dead man holding an artifact. The artifact was rumored to give its owner great powers, but little did he know, the artifact would cause him so much grief! Wars erupted over the artifact, humans made alliances with Elves and Dwarves, against the evil Orcs. Eventually the artifact was destroyed, but so was the Halflings village, and they blamed Ebbo for everything! With a heavy heart, Ebbo decided to take another stroll, and this time he met a sorceress named Alice, who agreed to help him rebuild his village, and his reputation, one Match at a time. The only complaints I have with this game, are that the tile elements are so alike and "busy" that at times, its difficult to tell them apart or see available matches. I'm also a little disappointed that you don't earn any bonuses or power-ups when you make large matches. This is a swap type Match 3 game, where you swap elements to make Matches of at least 3 identical elements, over all "Jeweled" or colored Cells, while gathering the required amount of elements needed per level, to rebuild the village. Elements inside of bubbles, morph (I think they appear when you make large matches, but I'm not positive) you can wait until the desired element appears inside the bubble, and pop it to help set up matches. There are the usual obstructions of jewel tiles that require two matches over them, chained and double chained elements that require one or two matches of whichever element is chained, and there's even pesky spiders that will spin webs over the tiles if they aren't destroyed by a match under them. Some levels require you to collect Potions by dropping them off of the board as you make matches under them. There are three different types of Power-ups available, and each one requires a Mana Meter refill after each use. The Hammer destroys a single element or chain, the Explosion Spell has a four element range of destruction, and the Magic Charm will destroy all elements of one chosen type. Although there aren't really any new features offered, it is a colorful, swap type Match 3 game. The levels progress nicely with slightly more challenge with each one. The power-ups are easily accessible, and the goals are obtainable. You can earn up to 3 Stars per level, which is a little more difficult than you'd think, to earn all three, enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Colourful Match 3 A M3 with those spiders periodically. This is a delightful M3 that brightens up my time because the colours are nice & bright & graphics good. Nice music. Has a storyline as described below, not so keen on some of the creatures flying around in the story, but it is fantasy. I played with timer & only failed once, & before I realised, the demo was up. I bought it, even though it is much like quite a few M3s

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of lighthearted fun while you restore light and order! Based solely on the demo: This is fun! The devs have rewarded us with a lovely game that has good graphics, separate volume controls for music and sound effects, an interesting plot, informative/intelligent dialogue (which can be skipped), a Relaxed mode, a sense of achievement in restoring and rebuilding a village, reasonable challenges and handy power-ups. Bravo! Felicitations to Felix for catching this little gem for all the Fishies here in the Pond! You are working with Alice the Witch (a very nice young lady) and the poor halfling, Ebbo, to restore Ebbo's village after a very nasty war. You need to gather materials to rebuild and refurbish the land. That material comes from the matches you make on the board. The game board lets you continue making matches while the objects that you just matched disappear and are replaced. You have a goal in each level. As you accumulate certain items, you are able to purchase the buildings and other objects that will restore the village. You have power-ups (I had three at the end of the demo) that are recharged as you make matches. There are obstacles to overcome such as chains that must be broken by making a match with the object under the chain. There were also spiders that occasionally appeared to spin webs over squares on the board. The spiders can be defeated by making a match below them so they fall off the board. I believe there will be more "trouble makers", like the spiders, but I did not get far enough during the demo to encounter them. The game does launch with a pop-up window that gives you an option to play in windowed mode, if you have problems running the game in Windows 10. I play on a Dell Studio XPS 8100 desktop with Windows 10 Professional 64 bit and had no difficulty. This is a definite buy for me!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Finally! Choice Again! I had fun playing the demo and really appreciate having the choice to play relaxed or timed (with NO move limit!) -- both have their place depending on what I'm in the mood for at the time. There's still a bit of challenge in relaxed mode which makes it less boring than it always becomes when there's none at all. You have to complete a board within a certain amount of time in order to obtain all three stars for the level so you can't spend a lot of time thinking over your next move(s) or neglect using one of your weapons now and then in order to advance far quicker. Nothing new here as far as gameplay goes compared to most M3 games released lately -- at least not in the demo. There is a decent enough story, a bit more detailed than the usual M3 of this type has. I found the graphics crisp, bright and pleasant and I experienced no technical problems. Game play wasn't annoyingly slow as I've experienced in some other games -- smooth, quick matching with no waiting for all tiles to drop before making another one. That's a must for me in an M3. Sound effects were pleasant too. Large matches give you energy boosts which don't appear to be of any use to you in relaxed mode but obviously are when playing timed (I only played relaxed). Still, they're fun to set up and make for the bit of 'bling' that adds to playing. I'm definitely going to purchase this game and hope I continue to have fun playing it to the end - and then again in timed mode.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This is one you have to play timed This was an OK builder match 3. Not a lot of challenge just a standard match and drop game. However, I could see it being a real challenge if you play it as a timed game. I play relaxed (no timer) so it got pretty old after awhile.
