Chimeras: Blinding Love is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Compleated game and Bonus chapter. Great game. The game itself had a good story line but to me there was to much running around. It became a little different after the demo but all in all it was a great game. It had a great ending.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ~~CHIMERAS: BLINDING LOVE RECYCLES HOPA'S IN THIS EDITION YET STILL REMAINS HIGHLY ENTERTAINING.~~ Travel back in time to Paris in the 1800s, when the traveling circus industry was thriving. A series of young men have been found blind and paralyzed and all of them seem to have been associated with Adalinda, the star of Chimera Magic – the famous traveling circus. You have been called in to investigate this strange case. Can you solve the puzzle or would you too fall for Adalinda’s deadly charm? I remembered being blown away by the first Chimeras game – the originality and the entertainment value of that game were top shelf. Unfortunately, the series seemed to have experienced a decline from then on until this edition. Chimeras: Blinding Love is the latest installment in this series and for once, a quality addition. The plot of this game is not revolutionary by any means, but it is engaging all the same. Moreover, the characters are memorable and the story progression is perfectly-paced. The sights and sounds in Chimeras: Blinding Love are up to Elephant Games’ usual industry-leading standard. The computer-generated graphics look stunning and the animations are as smooth as ever. The background music varies in intensity throughout the game in relation to the events happening in the game. The music and the voice-overs are both solid and never feel out of place. Gameplay wise, Chimeras: Blinding Love does everything right. The adventure part of the game is satisfyingly fast-paced and extremely enjoyable, the hidden object scenes are beautifully-crafted, and the puzzles are creative enough to maintain our interests. However, Chimeras: Blinding Love does not venture outside of the safe space. As fun as they are, the hidden object scenes and the puzzles would benefit greatly from some risk-taking and more challenges. For me, the main game of Chimeras: Blinding Love came in slightly short at three and a half hours, while the bonus chapter made up with its 70 minutes length. The Collector’s Edition is packed with a plethora of extras; wallpapers, concept art, screensavers, a strategy guide, achievements, collectibles, morphing objects, and a secret room. I appreciate the originality and the quality that went into the development of this continuing saga. I hope Elephant continues this trend for fans and new comers too. Cheers! •Chimeras: Tune of Revenge •Chimeras: The Signs of Prophecy •Chimeras: Cursed and Forgotten •Chimeras: Mortal and Medicine •Chimeras: Mark of Death •Chimeras: Blinding Love

Rated 3 out of 5 by from If you are looking for logic and challenge, look elsewhere This is not a great game but overall, I liked it except I found it pretty elementary. Most of the time, If you find an object you use it quickly or know exactly where to use it. The tasks were usually completed within the scene where you are working and there isn't any trotting back and forth between levels on the map. I thought the story was different and it is the only reason I gave the game 3 stars. I've not encountered a lady with a chimera curse before who cannot help the fact that looking on her face causes blindness in the besotted men who chance to see it. Much to her dismay, she cannot control the curse. Of course, at the end all is well and the detective reverses the curse on her and her hunchback friend as well as the poor men who fell under her curse. Some of the mini games were different from any I've encountered and were challenging. There are not a lot of hidden object scenes which are mostly list type and the objects are easy to find. Click on pretty much anything that stands out a bit and you will find something. If you are looking for logic and challenge, try something else. If you are looking to waste a few hours, download the demo and see what you think.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Being Middle of the Pack Should Not Be the Goal! Adalinda dances in the traveling circus that is visiting town. Julien, the son of a local woman, Marie, is enamored and plans to steal his Mother's jewelry and run away with Adalinda. Unfortunately Julien has been found blinded and paralyzed in an alley. His mother has asked you to investigate. Good Luck, Detective! Adalinda has a protector in the circus, the strong man, who may be involved in helping the curse along. In addition, Julien is not the only victim! Good stuff: All the expected game elements are present. Bad Stuff: The usual bad logic rears its ugly head from the get go. Have some fun finding the obvious "duh" moments. Otherwise this is another OK game, better than two of the earlier Chimeras games and worse than two of them. Be sure to try the Demo before you buy!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from CAN A GAME GET ANY MORE SIMPLISTIC? Blinding Love is another Chimeras game blinded by the desire to produce games in mass quantity, rather than quality. I get it, the desire to make money is the driving force, but I can't help wondering, if given the chance to take their time creating a sequel, would those talented artists create something far superior? This is such a simplistic game, most of the scenes have the exact item you need to use, you don't have to search very hard for it! A key her, a key there, everywhere a key. I prefer to have to think about something when playing a game, not a game that puts my brain on autopilot! Anyway, here's a recap of my review to help you decide which version, if either is right for you: A couple of weeks ago I was watching AFV and there was a cute little toddler who kept suggesting the same item when her mother asked her what they should eat, "how about cupcakes?" each and every time. I picture the same scenario going on inside the think tanks of the various writers, when deciding on a theme, "how about a traveling circus?" "how about a traveling dance show, how about a traveling circus?" In my opinion, Chimeras had one of the most creative and original plots when they released Tune of Revenge, and that particular game received a 4.7 average rating from BF reviewers! If you take the average ratings from the last 4 games in this series, not including this current game, the overall average rating is 3.7, which spells average! So, how about a traveling circus? They say Love is Blind, but Adalinda's love is paralyzingly blinding! Adalinda is the star attraction of the Traveling Circus show, Chimera Magic, but her attraction is deadly! Men can't control their desires for the fiery dancer, her beauty draws them in like a magnet to metal. But once she removes her mask, her gaze renders her relentless suitors blind and paralyzed. Adalinda may have gone too far this time, when Julien is the latest victim to suffer this lovers affliction, because mother Marie has vowed to stop this carney once and for all. How about a traveling circus? In the Collector's Edition version, there are 27 Morphing Roses to find one in each scene, 36 Jigsaw Puzzle pieces to assemble 3 different Screensavers once all 12 pieces of each SS is collected. There are also 12 Collectible Chimeras Cards, which give you a small Chimeras factoid about the 3 headed mythological Greek fire breathing creature. If you enjoy this game, the CE version in my opinion is CE worthy. The Hidden Object scenes bored me to tears, I would have given anything for a HOP skip feature. The first one required you to find objects matching Keywords in a sentence, thankfully I was able to decipher the keyword "stuff" successfully. The next, a simple Interactive List find with more stuff to find in a somewhat blurry scene. By the time the third HOP rolled around, I not only spotted the 4 masks to open the List, at break neck speed, but was able to find all objects on the list, without even reading them, by simply guessing at which items stuck out like a sore thumb. The final HOP in the demo switched it up a bit with Silhouetted Shape finds in an even blurrier scene. Thankfully this was the last HOP encounter in the demo, how about a traveling circus? The Mini Games are okay, no real complaints other than they should have made them more circus themed. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo: 1) Move gems up or down to vertically align matching pairs, using directional arrows to move rows of gems. 2) Guide the sun token across every tile by placing directional arrow buttons on the board to determine the direction the sun token moves. 3) Remove the bars in the correct order by choosing unblocked bars. 4) Move tokens along the tracks to their related symbol slots. 5) Use rotation buttons to place tokens correctly. 6) Study the cards and choose the matching card shown after they flip, within 3 guesses. 7) Restore the picture by placing torn picture fragments correctly. 8) Spot the differences from two side by side photos, one with color, one without. 9) Color the picture by selecting each symbol until the correct color appears that matches the clues. 10) Align disks correctly. 11) Swap figurines to their color coded spots. 12) Drag chains of color coded spheres to their correctly colored slots. 13) Rotate the board to align with the correct tangled path that the symbols will travel correctly. Rated 2 out of 5 by from Short and average The standard edition of this game is rather short , as it took just above 2 hours to complete. The story is simple but well told imo, i appreciated the faithful love between these 2 cursed young persons , also the happy ending. Too bad the gameplay is quite average with too may tokens or figurines to find without speaking of the usual actions too often seen in HO games. The same could be said about the mini-games , it seems to me i have already solved 90% of them elsewhere. The Hidden objects scenes (the real ones) are not too many. Graphics are too colourful, i wonder how the Devs can not create realistic and immersive settings , lighting (and audios) in a game are essential for it to be immersive. It is not a bad game , it is just too much average to be enjoyable. One more word : i would like to thank the reviewers on this site who pointed the fact that the 1st Chimeras was much better , and having started it i can agree with them.
