Paranormal Files: Fellow Traveler is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Game I really enjoyed this game! Even though the paranormal has been done before, this game had a really interesting story and some fun puzzles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looking forward to more of the same!!!!!! This one followed the story line front to back - and a good story line it is!! All characters stay true to their nature; the puzzles were good and many of them challenging, even if the explanation left you scratching your head and wondering where to start. There were a couple of my favorites: multiple games in one; deciphering how codes were broken, and then your typical HO's, but not a lot of those. Even interactive HO's which are a relieving change of pace. All in all, very entertaining and fun. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ~~~ELEPHANT'S NEW SERIES IS A MASTERPIECE!~~~ Rick Rogers (the character you play) was driving on Route 39, heading towards his parent’s house when he encountered a strange hitchhiker on the side of the road. With the goodness of his heart, he picked up the strange girl and promised to drop her off at a nearby mansion. Things took a turn when the girl suddenly disappears and Rick’s car crashed. Now you must explore the creepy mansion and discover the dark truths behind the recent series of disappearances on Route 39. Will you be able to escape this fate or will you die within three days just like everybody else? Paranormal Files: Fellow Traveler is the latest series from the HOPA veteran, Elephant Games which subsequently is one of my favorite developers. The game starts off with an all too familiar opening sequence, which then leads to a haunted house-themed storyline. While on the surface, the plot of Paranormal Files: Fellow Traveler seems like just another tired attempt at the haunted house theme but the fascinating backstory and the heightened sense of urgency makes this brand-new adventure an unexpectedly entertaining one. Elephant Games is always reliable when it comes to creating just the perfect environment for their games. Impressively, the environment in Paranormal Files: Fellow Traveler is extremely haunting and satisfyingly creepy. This is due to the outstanding visuals and effects, as well as the sinister and bone-chilling background music. The story line really becomes incredibly interesting once you meet Rose Bennett and learn the unusual back story. Rose has some really disturbing secrets to share as you progress beyond "demo play". Gameplay wise, Paranormal Files: Fellow Traveler gives the player a lot to do. Each location is packed with interactive tasks and while they are often fairly straightforward, the back-and-forth navigation amps up the challenge level quite a bit. As for the hidden object scenes and the puzzles, they are well-crafted and nicely varied, with just the right degree of complexity and the way this is integrated into the storyline is extremely clever! I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this fascinating new series. Playing on the CUSTOM setting, I finished Paranormal Files: Fellow Traveler in just slightly over four hours and the CE bonus chapter in just 40 minutes. I think Elephant fans are really going to appreciate this new series as much as I did. I can't wait to see what Elephant has in store for the next edition and I highly recommend this jewel of a game to casual players of every level. Cheers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MOODY- wintry bare trees and overcast skies Available at BFG since 2018. Review based on completed game. Not a scary game, but moody and detailed. Quite often, I'm in the mood for a game... just like this! Never gets really dark in content, so if you're looking for more of a fright, or just more of a sinister vibe, you won't get it here. Some relatively normal looking scenes are thrown in with ones of large, abandoned buildings and rooms. Outdoor scenes include background woods, and various gardens that were once alive and vibrant, but are now left overgrown and hide secrets. Great if you want a bit of solitude. You can almost feel the damp in the air! 6-8 HOPS. Fun puzzles. Great background music (more of a non-instrusive, atmosphere enhancer). 4 sound controls. I hope the second one in the series is as good as this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this new series from Elephant With 8 puzzles and 9 hops. It has a good balance. I liked how creepy the game is from the makers of Haunted Hotel, Halloween Stories, Surface, Mystery Trackers, Midnight Calling and Grim Tales. If you like their past games you know you will have fun in this one. You play Rick Rogers and since this is the start you see how he gets roped in on Route SR-39. It's a ghostly tale.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A fun few hours I liked this game, the HOS weren't too intricate and the graphics were engaging. The overall plot line though cliched was entertaining too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LOVED THIS GAME FROM START TO FINISH (but I definitely prefer the CE version) There are so few games nowadays that have a decent storyline to go along with fantastic graphics and decent puzzles, not to mention, worthy Hidden Object Scenes. This game held my interest from beginning to end, in fact, I thought it became more interesting as the story progressed. I wish the plot had more twists, but other than that, I was more than satisfied with my purchase of the CE version. My personal preference is with the CE because it had a lot of decent extras, and they didn't stick out like a sore thumb like most games. Here's a recap of my review to help you decide which version, if either is right for you: Rick Rogers was determined to make a fresh start after a rocky relationship and betrayal by his best friend. Everything he owned was packed into his car, and the road home seemed unusually long. Route 39 was a lonely stretch of highway, there wasn't a soul in sight for miles, until a hitchhiker appeared around the bend. Rick knew better than to pick up a stranger, but after all, they were in the middle of nowhere, and she was quite beautiful, what could possibly go wrong? Everything goes wrong! Rick should have kept driving that fateful day because now his time is limited, just 3 days, Rick has been given a mere three days to live or 3 days to survive! Tick, tock! Welcome back Elephant! Just a few weeks ago I was writing about how disappointed I was that this dev had seemingly abandoned the creepy graphics style that drew me in hook, line, and sinker when I first discovered their popular series with the tiny little Elf dog (can I say the title?) So now I can say once more "NOBODY does creepy, abandoned, paranormal like this dev!" <insert handful of peanuts> This is the kind of plot that keeps you on the edge of your computer seat, one that you can't stop playing because it keeps leading you along with teasers, twists, and turns. Personally, I haven't felt this excited about playing a game after the demo in a long, long time because they usually fizzle after the climactic demo ending as if they had run out of ideas. <insert more peanuts because they deserve royal treatment> Thank you for providing this Masterpiece! This game deserves an award for its genius storyline, and creepy graphics! <so here's more peanuts> In the Collector's Edition version there are Hidden Eyes or Hidden Ravens in each scene and each scene has a Morphing Object. My only complaint is that the cursor turns to a hand when it scans across an item, but I worked around that by not moving my mouse until I found the collectibles. The Hidden Object Scenes are varied with Pictured Items, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Keywords in Sentence Finds, Sketches Finds and Multiples of the Same Item Finds. Many of the HOP's are smaller Zoom Zone's, and most are located in interesting scenes. I really liked the HOP where you had to find Sketches on a wooden door that had been partially scratched out, I haven't seen that style done before. The Mini-Games are fairly decent and most are doable on the first attempt. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo: 1) Choose the correct symbols that spell the Latin word shown. 2) Swap destination stickers to correct country locations then input numbers into the lock. 3) Rotate the wheel to show matching symbols on the walls. 4) Swap picture frames to their dust outline shapes on the wall. 5) Place torn tapestry fragments using arrows to scroll up and down. 6) Recreate symbols by selecting rotation buttons. 7) Select pairs of ghosts to find matching symbols. The Collector's Edition version has 10 wallpapers, 10 Concept Art pictures, 1 Screensaver, 5 Music Soundtracks, 10 Achievements to earn, 13 re-playable Hidden Object Scenes, 13 re-playable Mini-Games, 12 Hidden Ravens, 12 Hidden Eye (Personal Items: Hunter, Car, Graduation Cap, Caricature, Supernatural Magazine, Rick's Photo, Shooting Trophy, Wedding Ring, Broken Phone, Cufflinks, Coffee Mug, Lighter) 26 Morphing Objects, 5 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a built-in Strategy Guide, enjoy...for 3 days!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's ok, but I'm not buying it.... Well, you get to be a male this time, which is a nice change. You are driving down a dark backwoods road (sound familiar?)...and you pick up a ghostly looking woman who had a car wreck. She tells you she's going to a mansion (probably haunted) and then she disapppears. Shortly thereafter, you drive by a bunch of crashed cars, that all say, "you have 3 days to live'. Hmmm.....They are all outside the mansion. So, you try to enter the big wrought iron gate. Do all mansions have huge gates that are abandoned? Shortly thereafter, you read your own diary that essentially says, your life has been really bad lately, and you are going home to visit your mother. If that is the case, why are you on a dark and dingy back road somewhere with ghosts? Of course there is the requisite fountain inside the gate, with the mermaid statue. There is also the bush that needs trimming, a knocker that has to be found, and an old lady on the inside of the house that wont tell you her story herself, she wants you to enter the main part of the house to learn about the tragedy of her life. You get to that main part by breaking a key in the lock and having to remake it with a mold and a tin soldier.....I kind of became completely indifferent at this point in time because I couldn't figure out why I cared, or what I was doing there......theme: scary mansion, ghosts, you're going to die if you don't play the game....I'm a cynic and kind of fed up with the same old themes, therefore, I will not purchase this game. You might like it....try it for yourself.......

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay but no buy for me The story started out interesting and different. But the bad dialogue and slow pace to the game did not hold my interest. I played the demo to the end and it did not grab me. No sale here. The visuals were good and the background music appropriate, just not interesting to buy to find out what happened to Rick.
