The grand historical museum reception held by Deborah Whitwick became well known throughout the country. An inexplicable viral attack on the guests occurred right in the middle of the lady's solemn speech. When the epidemic began, no one had any idea just what the citizens of New York were facing. An urgent expedition was organized to re-explore the archipelago in the hope of finding information on the nature of the disease. As a linguist and expert on ancient languages, I was to join them. I couldn't even imagine how this journey would turn out for me...

The Legacy: The Tree of Might is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from WOW! What a game! It appears that the regular series always seem to garner so much more attention than newer series or a random game by a not so well known game company. I think that's what happened with this game because there was little to no buzz about this game and it was truly fantastic! There was so much to do and see in this game it was just unbelievable. At times there was a little too much going on that it made it a bit difficult to figure out where you should go or what you should do which is the only reason I took off one star. You can tell though that a lot of hard work went into this game the scenes were so well done and all the items were so intricate and detailed. Just fantastic! It was also a long game, especially in comparison to most of the games coming out lately. There was quite a bit of talking and reading you had to do, which did make you feel like you were really part of the game, now after saying that I'll mention that some things were not translated as well as they could be but you could clearly understand what they meant. . The scenery was spectacular, music was lovely and it did contain a huge amount of mini-games. Sadly not as many hidden objects as I would have liked which is really the only downfall. You did have to go to many different places but if you forgot where you were going you only had to hit the hint and it told you exactly where to go which I really liked. I think this is a fantastic game, that many more people would enjoy if they just gave it a try. Yes I recommend this game!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from THIS IS A 5-STAR GAME BUT DEFINITELY WORTH UPGRADING TO THE CE VERSION Five-BN has never disappointed me with any of their games, the only reason I gave this game 4 stars instead of 5 is that the Collector's Edition version has so many Morphs and Collectibles and extra content, that it pales in comparison to this Standard Edition version. The CE Bonus Chapter is just icing on the cake, with 9 Mini-Games, 3 Hidden Object Scenes, and 12 more Collectibles. This is a must-have game in either version, but I highly recommend the CE version. Here's a recap of my review to help you decide which version, if either is right for you: A deadly virus has gone air-borne during a reception hosted by Deborah Whitwick at the Historical Museum. The Museum's prized Ancient Artifact contained more than just centuries of dust and history, it contained a swarm of deadly Mosquitoes! Diana has been selected to return to the Artifacts origins to gather vital information that could help them discover an antidote, problem is, everyone's searching the wrong place! Could this be the end of civilization? Game Series such as The Legacy is why this is my number one favorite developer. When I first started playing HOPA's, I didn't really pay much attention to the plot, but then again, back in the day, these games didn't really have much of a storyline. Nowadays, for me personally, it's all about the story because the games themselves have become so easy, so predictable, that you know when you pick up an item EXACTLY where it's going to be used and why. That's why Five-BN Games is my favorite developer. Five-BN games are different. They aren't predictable, it's not all about back and forthing, finding this emblem to open that box, only to receive another emblem. They aren't stories about ancient evil Mist Monsters, they are usually apocalyptic themed games that are totally credible! They are very good about making a connection with the characters, and the characters are likable, the characters are believable. Most of all, they are really good at drawing you into their storylines hook line and sinker, and they usually have a cliffhanger ending! Nobody has Hidden Objects Scenes as creative and fun as Five-BN Games! Most of them are Progressive, Interactive Silhouetted Shape finds where you are tasked with finding the objects that match the Silhouetted Shapes and then using those items back in the scene which will expose the next object and so forth. All of their HOP's have at least one Mini-Game to solve if not more which is what makes them so fun. There are also Interactive List finds, and they too are highly Interactive. The only disappointment I have is not being able to re-play them, but then again, it would be super easy the second time around. The Mini-Games are exactly the kind I love where you have to put some thought into solving them. Some of them can be a little frustrating because just when you think you have it figured out, you realize you need to reset the game and start over, but they are really good games. Even the Hidden Object Scenes have at least one Mini-Game to solve, and extra Mini-Games and Puzzles are unlocked when you complete the Collections, Manuscripts and Morphing Collections, a unique feature only offered by Five-BN! Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo: 1-Swap figurines to adjoin their hands. 2-Enter the sequence of turns to guide the bird to the end in a rotating maze. 3-Click the pair of symbols to recreate the center symbols. 4-Click the crystals to light them up, clicking 1 may affect others. 5-Slide square tiles to complete the image. 6-Repeat the sequence of images to activate & deactivate them. 7-Move tiles into matching slots, all tiles move in the same direction in unison. 8-Slide tiles along the path to their matching slots. 9-Rotate crystals to direct the beam of light through all crystals. The Collector's Edition version has 8 Wallpapers, 15 Concept Art pictures, 8 Music Cutscenes, 25 re-playable Mini-Games, 22 Achievements to earn, 7 Bonus Puzzles (when you complete the Figurine & Manuscripts Collections) Collectible Figurines (12 Wooden Hares, 8 Porcelain Elephants, 7 Metallic Butterflies, 8 Golden Snakes, 7 Wooden Horses) 11 Manuscript Pages (receive a new Bonus Puzzle in Extras) 30 Morphing Objects (receive a new Mini-Game in Extras) 5 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a built-in Strategy Guide. Enjoy the adventure and don't forget to use insect repellant! Rated 3 out of 5 by from Come on, give me a break Idk if "key contributors" get freebies for 5 star reviews, they must get something for it. Any child can read and hear the many mistakes in the game just with text not matching what they actually speak. At first I thought wow but after the third time it wasn't even funny. It was just sad. How do you not speak the same that you have in words? It is so noticeable. The graphics are nice and the story interesting. I just would not buy a game or give it 5 stars for having so many errors clearly in it. Why did the "key contributors" not see/hear it? Something fishy about that....and not in a good Big Fish way. I do not believe I shall believe what they "review" anymore. Sad. Honesty matters, in everything.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No challenge, no storyline, very little fun This is one of those games that's making me seriously doubt that I'll ever buy another HOA ever again. I had to force myself to finish it because not long after the demo ended, the plot left the building and never returned. Thereafter all I was doing was collecting pieces of magical artefacts from all around a very attractive but meaningless landscape, and nothing made any real sense. Few of the tasks made any real sense either. The developer tried to patch the many holes in the plot with ancient documents containing long winded explanations of why this random magical object had to be assembled in that random order and applied in some totally random way to fulfil a (you guess it) purely random task. All of this as a means of killing time between the arrival and departure of the Evil Tree, which still takes far too long since there's nothing resembling a real storyline to hold it all together. Lame, lame, lame. And a waste of money, if I'm frank. I keep saying this but if devs spent a quarter as much money on *writers* as they did on graphics, they'd have far more loyal and devoted customers. I personally have no interest in cruising through beautiful but pointless scenery for hours. Maybe it's because I live in a pretty area, but I can't rationalize staying in to play a game that lacks character, a narrative, plot twists and coherence.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Translated by some high school students. While the game itself isn't too bad, the dialogue is utterly atrocious and it makes the game actually embarrassing to play. It's clear this was translated into English by some non-English speaker, and then the English team didn't bother to correct the dialogue. (Actually, the language is so bad it's almost like they relied on Google Translate alone to generate the script.) It's jilted, awkward, the words are wrong, the grammar is bad, and everyone talks like a robot. It's particularly embarrassing because the voice actors clearly have perfect American accents, but apparently nobody on the team bothered to correct the abominable language. I am actually, literally embarrassed for the people who made this. I wish I hadn't bought it blind based on the number of stars. Add to that, the storyline is fractured and makes very little sense. The gameplay itself is dull, expected. Really, Big Fish? This is the kind of quality I expected from new game makers 10 years ago through your site. Come on.
