The Seven Chambers is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE FALLEN ANGEL HAS DELIVERED YOU TO THE FIRST OF SEVEN CHAMBERS-AN HONOR YOU MUST PREVAIL Review based on approximately 2.5 Hours (just the tip of the iceberg as my chamber journey continues) Difficulty Range: Intermediate-Expert (beginners may have difficulty with the game mechanics but not with the puzzles) I wasn't impressed with the demo portion of The Seven Chambers because it just seemed like an ordinary game with ordinary graphics, ordinary tasks, ordinary mini-games, and a plot that seemed to take place in an ordinary typical timeframe. Suddenly, I was whisked away by a Fallen Angel and told that my apprenticeship begins at the first of Seven Chambers, and that's when I realized that there was a good reason BF began their synopsis with "2019 Tiga Games Award Finalist - Best Casual Game" Your Journey is a subconsciousness adventure that weaves between the Past and Present as you follow the course of the Seven Stars, from the firmament of Earth to Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury, Mars, Venus, and the Great Moon. You must gather the powers of the Seasons to open the Portals to the otherworldly Realms, the Coin of Chance, the Chalice of Merit, the Rod of Power and the Sword of Light to enable mastery of the realm, The World of the Seven Chambers. (Earth is Autumn, Fire is Summer, Air is Spring and Water is Winter) Each Champer has a guardian, Jupiter is the guardian of the Rod of Life, for example, then you'll move on to the Chamber of Mars. It's not an easy plot to understand by just the dialog itself, but there is an excellent Journal that clarifies the story even further with each journal entry. The Seven Chambers isn't really a Hidden Object Game as categorized, however, it's more of an Adventure Puzzle Game because I've yet to come across any Hidden Object Scenes, which is totally fine by me! There are 9 Achievements to earn but there's no map. I kinda liked that I was on my own to navigate the Chambers, I liked that it forced me to use my wits without the usual "crutches" and there's always the Hint feature standby if need be. The game mechanics can be a little tricky as far as figuring out where the areas of interest actually are, and what items are required because they usually aren't the obvious standard tasks. Most games of late include those standard cliche requirements so frequently that you know exactly where an object will be needed the second you pick it up...before you even come across the zoom zone area of interest! The Mini-Games aren't really new, but they have a nice variety and in the two and a half hours I've played so far, they are all doable and I've enjoyed most of them. Each time you encounter a Portal, there is a repetitive "Untangle" variation puzzle where you have to drag zodiac symbols, planets, etc. until none of the lines connecting them overlap, but this happens to be one of my personal favorite puzzles, and they progress in difficulty. Here's a list of a few of the games you'll encounter during the adventure: ?-Enter the correct sequences by trial and error. ?-Rotate 4 discs and exchange color-coded symbols to match the colors of all 4 corners. ?-Move blocks with symbols to match the correct rows. ?-Several "Untangle" game variations. ?-Rotate rings logically (moving 1 ring affects others) ?-Swap & rotate tokens to complete the image. ?-Move planets into their correct orbit (moving 1 planet affects others) I realize most people won't make it past the demo because it will seem like an ordinary game, but if you like a great adventure story involving portals and chambers this game is well-worth the 6.99 price tag...not to mention that it's Bonus Punch today so what do ya have to lose?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is an unexpected wonder So little fanfare for this game but it's one of the best to come out for quite awhile. The graphics are reminiscent of The Lost Lands, unusual but beautiful. The voice acting is the best I've ever heard. It's not just the lyrical Scottish brogue, it's the clarity and accuracy. I'm overjoyed at the quality. The game play is sometimes a bit familiar-uncross the strings, find the sigil-but it's done in a manner that's different enough I didn't feel the creeping dread of boredom. In fact, I knew I was buying the first five minutes in. Try this one, it's a gem. And I'm so sorry somebody's crashed and burned. I hope you can get a fix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WHAT A DELIGHTFUL GAME! Wow, I truly am having fun playing this game. Since I am an intermediate player, it is somewhat challenging for me...BUT.. that makes it all the better as far as I am concerned. The scenes are beautiful and extremely well done. The graphics are good. I have had a problem with it freezing a few times, but if I escaped and or restarted my computer the game picked up where I left off with no problems what so ever and I really really want to continue on. This is puzzle game mostly with a few mini HO's. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys puzzles. The further you are in the game the better it becomes. Give it a try

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Seven Chambers I enjoyed playing this game because it was something different with astrology rather than other types of hidden object games that I have played

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The seven chambers is a very god HOPA game The seven chambers is a very god HOPA game. The continuous and clear storyline, the imaginative minigames and the absolutely interesting HD artworks make the game an eye catcher. Clear recommendation. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Standard Edition game! Not very often does a game come around without a Collector's Edition. This is one of those times. Usually that is a sign of a new game company, but not necessarily a great offering. Once again, this game destroys that belief. The only negative I have is that there is no map, so hints are sometimes necessary.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Missed opportunity! This game could've been great but......I'm not a fan of handholding but if there had been a map then 5 stars would follow from me (and I don't give 5 often!)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost There Thinking and paying attention are required for this game, not necessarily for many of the mini-games, but definitely for a lot of the steps you need to do next and where you need to go. The game is interesting enough that I was intrigued and kept going despite the need to use the hint button a few times just to find out where I should be. At times progressing along in the game seemed to be more random than it needed to be. When logic failed it came down to looking all over, and trying some item where I thought it might work, which again speaks to things being more random than they needed to be. There were a few times where item placement was problematic because it took a few tries: either I didn’t hit the exact sweet spot to place the item, or the game didn’t recognize the item right away. The plusses of the game are: there are very nice graphics (just stop and look at all the detail in the apothecary!), a decent storyline, nothing I’d call the usual HO (yeah!), and really nice voices. I always turn the music off, so no comment on that. I gave the game 4 stars, but would say 4.5 is more like it. So, why not 5? I can’t pin-point it exactly, but gameplay could have been “tightened” slightly. As mentioned, there just seemed to be more randomness than necessary. Also, some items just didn’t quite match expectations; for example, the gold flower petals I looked for in vain. I didn’t miss a map, but I could see how some players would.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A frustrating journey through time First, the good points. I very much enjoyed the beauty of the game and the interesting characters. Other than that (after playing through the entire game) I wasn't impressed. My main peeve was that it didn't contain a map and you constantly have to go back and forth, back and forth, to get anywhere. The time jumps were often confusing and I had little clue as to why a certain obstacle or challenge was in my way to progress forward. This game had a lot of puzzles - too many for my liking, and many without clear instructions. If the storyline was a bit clearer and had a map that allowed me to go where there were actions to be performed, I would have liked it much better. As it was, I way overused the Hint button.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I so wanted to like this You had me at the Scottish accents. Unfortunately, the gameplay itself was confusing, there was no map, and the game froze before the trial was over. Sigh...
