Christmas Stories: Yulemen Collector's Edition is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 44.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Christmas in Iceland Easy going relaxing game. It has 3 portals and I started on the wrong one (the right) and it still worked out but I was off on the guide. It has a helper one of the Yulemen I thought it was a nice touch. I Loved the game. The 3 chapters + bonus was not too long or too short. Nice extras. The Secret Room has 61 morphs to find in 4 rooms. The expedition room allows you to go back and get any collectible that you missed. Found 13 joke like cards and 48 puzzle pieces. I put together 4 puzzles. Replays on 14 hops, 5 music and 13 mini-games. I only liked 2 mini-games the first and the twelfth. Has 5 wallpaper that only the creator would love. No nice scenes only.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Great Entry In The Christmas Stories Series Wonderful to see how Christmas is celebrated in other countries! Well, short and sweet- it's your typical Elephant game in that it follows it usual paradigm, but this is truly fun. The graphics and colors are terrific- very realistic without being cartoonish and really reflect the Christmas spirit. As does the sound track- not actual classic Christmas tunes, but fun and joyous enough to make sure you're smiling throughout the whole game. The characters are very cute as is our little Yuleman- how can a Yuleman not be cute? The find 'ems are fun (always enjoy them)- there are two types: cards and puzzle pieces in the close-ups. The v-o's fit this genre just fine. The puzzles are always fun- I love puzzles and I am learning to really enjoy HOPs especially when games like this add new twists. I love Elephant's Christmas Stories series, especially The Nutcracker and Enchanted Express- both outstanding. And to the naysayers of this little gem- a lump of coal and a "Bah, Humbug" to you!! Merry Christmas!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Winter Game! I was so thrilled to see this Christmas Stories game out before December! Every single inch of this game is both winter and Christmas laden, down to the tiny details, and it's totally beautiful. I thought it was a little funny to have a Brooklyn-accented elf character, but then again, why not a Brooklyn accent? Elves would be from everywhere, so I guess it makes sense. The story takes place in Iceland, so the main characters' names match that, and it's basically a Scrooge retelling. Really the whole point of the game is the wintry iciness and Christmassy beauty of it, and it achieves that easily and with grace. There are three collectibles: cards that are not in every scene, jigsaw pieces in closeup scenes, and picture parts in closeup scenes. The closeup scene collectibles can be very tricky because some of them are practically transparent, which makes for a good challenge. The music is nice and the game is overall both enjoying and relaxing. It's the kind you can just keep playing without realizing how much time has passed—just very enjoyable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad Reviews I'm very excited to see the first Christmas game of the season. Elephant is a long time developer and I am a long time player. I'm can't wait to purchase the game. I am sooo very tired of seeing the same ole fish give the same ole rating. Maybe if they hadn't started ragging on the developers with their bad reviews several years ago, more of the developers would still be making games. We don't pay a great deal (most of the time you can get it for 1/2 price of free), but they always feel the need to want perfection. If we get a GREAT game from a developer, instead of praising the developer, we expect greatness from then on. Everything gets old after awhile, even GREATNESS. Suddenly it isn't great any more. We now have less than 10 developers left and they are trying to put them out as fast as they can to keep us happy. Greatness takes time. We all loose in the process, developers and players. If you don't like what is coming out now, stop complaining and play the old games or find another form of entertainment. Stop ruining it for the rest. I know I have over 1000 games, so I have plenty to replay. JMO!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tis the Season I am really enjoying this game. I have all the others in the Christmas Stories series. In fact, I just got done playing Enchanted Express (again) and The Christmas Tree Forest (again). This one is just as good. Very entertaining.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Christmas Stories: Yulemen After a starvation diet of low budget games (with a few exceptions) this year, we have been gifted with this wonderous present courtesy of Elephant games. Beautiful graphics, great storyline, charming characters, lovely music. What more could you wish for!?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Fun Celebrating Christmas in Another Land Solid game play with some interesting mini-games/puzzles and a few variations in the hidden object scenes. Graphics and music superb. It's great to get to know the mythology of other countries so thanks Elephant Games for this yule men story. This review based upon completion of main game.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sweet But A Little Strange A different plot for Christmas, hurrah! Well, actually not, it's a hash of multiple classic Christmas stories, but off we go anyway. We play as Asdis in a sister-to-the-rescue game when the Scrooge-like Trapp comes a-calling. The latter is an evil slave-driving factory owner who forces his workers to endure overtime on that special night instead of celebrating. A thrall of a Narnian Snow Queen, he is bent on making everyone about him suffer for no particular reason except for her own inexplicable malice. Anyway, we're off to rescue little brother and redeem the irredeemable. Pros: strikingly intense holiday colors and sugary Christmasy music, and a plot of simple rescue and redemption. Voice acting is good, hidden-object scenes abound, and a relatively straightforward plot make this a game one might sit down to with the young ones... Cons: but wait, the HO scenes require a bit more precision than small hands are capable of and the mini-games are far beyond the capabilities (or interests) of young players. And frankly, the plot is a mess - we have a Snow Queen whose motives beyond simple malice are never explained in the main game. Lost in all this is, well, Christmas itself. We have several hours of pure nastiness on the part of Trapp, the villain, with a few miserly moments of redemption squeezed out of the story at the very end. Dickens did it better. Bonus Game: Excellent resolution to both Trapp and Snow Queen enigmas - unfortunately, it has to wait until the Bonus Game, which makes it unavailable to anyone purchasing the SE. But yes, we play as Trapp himself and we do get to save the Snow Queen from herself. Her story doesn't really make a lot of sense but all is well in the end. Overall, an incomplete story until the Bonus Game, but we do finally get to understand where everyone is coming from. It's a little difficult to understand who, exactly, the game was pitched to, because the sweetness of the scenery and the ease of the puzzles are fine for little ones but the mini-games are not, although I'll have to admit I enjoyed them. I would have recommended the game but for the fact that little brother is playing his flute backwards in the opening scene. OK, kidding. Merry Christmas all!
