Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dress Cake I really like this game. It is so cute and fun to play. The more I play, the more I keep figuring out about the game. Definitely for the young at heart! Thanks BF, you did good!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well worth using a game credit for Don't understand the one star review, but thanks to the reviewer for mentioning other similar games. I'll give then a try when I want another nice little game. I like limited moves games, although this one hasn't got challenging yet, but the decider for me was the bonuses. I always like those which take out an entire row or line.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light Fun For Free Moments Okay, this isn't a rare treasure of a game, but who cares. It's made well enough, gameplay is smooth and I really like to play it when I have some moments to spare.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Some of it is just plain cute! Okay - this is NOT going to be the game of the year, but, it's not the worse match-3 I've played. In fact, some of it is just plain cute. I have NO idea where the game title- Dress Cake - comes from, but, my uneducated guess is that the game's original language wasn't English, and it translated to Dress Cake. If it isn't that, the title is a total mystery. There are things in the game that remind you of dresses - absolutely - but, I still can't figure where the cake part comes from, unless it's just that the levels are mostly made up of sweets. Game play is routine. You match 3 or more items to clear the "ice" tiles in the game. Each level has requirements you must meet in order to clear the level. Again, pretty much the same. Every third level, you get a "quest". It simply asks you to find an object on the board. Again, the language thing springs to my little pea brain, because some of it in the quests just doesn't make a lot of sense. Not only that, but there came a point in time, when a quest was active, that I just ended up clicking on every darn thing I could find that might somehow end up being what was asked for..lol...it's the only way I completed the quest. It's not a particularly enjoyable part of the game. You don't have to complete the little hidden object quests to finish a level. It simply adds a little cash to the coffers when you complete them. There are several nifty power-ups and, for me, that's where the cute part it. There are tape measures like seamstresses use to clear a row or column. There is a pin cushion that is used to clear all of a color. You swap the cushion with the color you want to clear and there are a bunch of 3-d pins that come out and clear the color, and it's neat. All of the power-ups are unlike any I've seen in a match-3 before. Again - this will never make it to the top of my match-3 list of good games - probably linger in the bottom third or so, but, it's not awful. The colors are bright, instructions are clear, the power-ups are fun, and it may make you hungry for a sweet something while you play.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cute Fun Good mindless play I bought this, it is cute and fun, the story is not much but the play is relaxing. There are a lot of different power-ups and extras. The only complaint I have is that you have to wait to continue to do your matches until the game has finished processing the previous matches. For a nice relaxing game try this

Rated 2 out of 5 by from fun for a while, gets tedious and then just ends, needed a big finish enjoyed it, it satisfied my mild OCD enough to finish, but after all the fuss it just...ends, at level 150. No fireworks or even a picture of her in her dress. Ultimately not satisfying. I played on Normal but not sure it would be much more fun with time constraints. It is a cake and candy world, you travel from this land to that up the map, you match cookies that really look like buttons. matches of 5 give you pincushions, if you pick one to move, then pins come and stick all cookies/buttons of the color you moved to. Match 4 and you get a bonus cookie/button with a tape measure around it. if you combine it with another there is lots of exploding tape measure flying around (sort of a sewing tools motif as well as candy/cookies). In between levels there are "quests" where you find something in the map. A couple of times I just had to click around, and light on something that MIGHT be the right color to be what I wanted. The object then flies to a list and turns to a checkmark so you can't always see what it was anyway. The last quest never clears for me--not satisfying. You can buy things like a candy gun that shoot three or 4 buttons, a candy cane tool to remove blockers, things like that. when you win a level, the heroine performs a half-hearted leap into the air with arms raised. She's a very subdued person, not at all interesting. The fairy godmother shows up and says what is going on--the tailor needs help or whatever, but you never see any other characters; just start matching! later you have to match next to rows of obstacles like cotton candy or ice to free the buttons and then match those buttons. When you win a level, the game explodes unused bonuses and that is fun to watch. Sometimes the board does not fill completely with buttons and you have to match to a certain point to fill the board and then match everything to clear it. when you get to the end, though there is no big finish, you go back to the map and there is level 150 with the girl's picture on it, and big pink clouds. Fairy godmother gets her wand back in later levels but it's not even exciting. You don't even see this fabulous dress she won, or her shoes. So it's the journey I guess but I wanted more fizziness, I finished the game after all.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ANOTHER STICKY SWEET MATCH 3 EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE LAST ONES This is yet another Limited Moves Match 3 game by Intersol, the same folks who offer Mystery Loss, Penguin Rescue, Owl Rescue, Flying Fish Quest etc. All of the features are the same, the only thing different is the title and the tiles. You can play this game in a Normal or Relaxed mode, and you can earn up to 3 stars per level. Each level has goals given at the start, such as earning a specific amount of points in a specific amount of moves. Every third level offers a Quest to find an object on the level map. As usual, large matches will give you a bonus, such as a Super Candy, Candy Bomb or Candy Explosion to help you clear the board. One of the features I really hate, is that you cannot make matches quickly because you have to wait until all the tiles finish dropping before making another match, and then you have to wait until all the bonuses finish exploding after the goals have been met, before moving on to the next level.
