Rated 5 out of 5 by from Artifex Mundi delivers!!! I am REALLY enjoying this "simple" HO adventure. Very colorful and bright graphics. I consider myself an advanced player used to very involved games so this particular game felt very relaxed. Nice to see a game offered that is not a C.E.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ~~THE EVENTIDE SAGA CONTINUES AND LEGACY OF LEGENDS IS AN EXCELLENT SE~~ When a seemingly uneventful visit to your brother turns into a hotbed of conflict between humans and Clouders it will be up to you – Mary Gilbert – famous botanist and guardian of Fern Flower – to once more enter the magical world of eastern European deities, ancient beliefs and mythical lands. Accompanied by Aitvar, a house spirit, set off to the other end of the rainbow, where a flying city floats among the clouds and where your brother is being held captive by an evil sorcerer. Save him and together renew the ancient covenant between humans and Clouders. Will cleverness and resourcefulness be enough to overcome sinister Zmeys on the sorcerer’s service and prove your worth to Perun, the god of thunder? Will you be able to save the earth before it gets flooded by the ocean? Once you have completed the demo of this third installment of the Eventide 3: Legacy of Legends fans of the series are in for a delightful surprise in this latest edition to the Eventide series. Those who are familiar with the trilogy will undoubtedly compare it to the previous editions in their review which at best gives game club members a synopsis of what the entire series is about. When this series began with Eventide: Slavic Fable CE it was an exciting adventure game inspired by Slavic mythology. Set in a contemporary heritage park where mythical Slavic creatures co-exist with humans, the adventure begins when Mary, a famous botanist, receives an alarming invitation from her grandmother, the parks curator. Mary is tasked with saving an endangered plant, but this turns out to be the least of her concerns. Her Grandma is kidnapped by the mysterious Boruta, who is plotting to conquer and destroy the world using the parks ancient magic. The protagonist must seek alliance with the creatures living in the park, in order to defeat the villain, save her Grandma, and prevent worldwide calamity. In Eventide 2: The Sorcerer’s Mirror,The journey continues with another chapter of the adventures of Mary, a botanist from the first Eventide. This time Mary has to release her niece Jenny from the clutches of Tvardovsky the immortal wizard, who kidnapped the girl during a trip into the mountains. Mary will do everything to rescue this girl – she will venture into an ancient forest filled with a mysterious power and walk along the steep mountain paths and the ruins, where she’ll meet imps, phantoms, and other mystical creatures from Eastern and Central European fairy tales. To defeat the sorcerer, she’ll have to solve the mystery of the enchanted village and make very unusual allies, such as the famous 17th-century outlaw Yanosik. I have enjoyed all three of the editions of this original fantasy adventure series including this one. While Legacy of Legends may not rise to the expectations of some fans it did for me. I recommend this fun and engaging addition and the previous ones too. It's definitely worth a game coupon for this CE. Cheers! Kudos to Artifex Mundi, House of Fables, and BigFish! Especially Artifex Mundi for creating my favorite series: •Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek CE •Enigmatis: The Mists of Ravenwood CE •Enigmatis: The Shadow of Karkhala CE

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A wonderful HOP for beginners I know this game won't be everyone's cup of tea, but I truly liked it. I've played the first two in the series and I'm glad they have decided to make this a SE as they did the second one. I loved the animation and voice overs. The HOPS were varied, yet basically simple. The puzzles were for the most part a rehash of the second game. Simple and no need for a guide. The story was interesting, although it's been done similarly before. I still enjoyed it. I think this would be a great game for a beginner as it isn't scary and has a nice easy selection of basic puzzles and HOPS to learn from.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple Is Okay With Me Sometimes I appreciate the "quiet time" without the bells and whistles. It's nice to play a simple game with no side attractions to keep watch for, i.e. morphing objects, hidden symbols etc. And I like being able to use an expiring coupon, I think there is a big shortage of SE games (not the ones that come from a CE version). I like this game and own the other 2 Eventides, with Slavic being my favorite. The attraction for me is the type of fantasy, I love mythical creatures and the storyline is good. It is pretty easy to play even on hard mode. But so far it has been fun and with no tech problems. The graphics could have been better in this installment but it didn't spoil the game for me, everything else was fine. Without a bonus chapter and extras I hope it is not a terribly short game. Fun for all skill levels and hooray for Bonus Punch Day! Faith....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad to See In SE Sometimes you don't want all the whistles and bells. Sometimes you just want to relax with a good story and mindless HO scenes. This games does that. The art work is pretty good and the HO can be a little challenging. I also enjoy the fantasy angle. Enjoy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad This isn't a knock your socks off fantastic game, but it's enjoyable to play. Most of the mini puzzles are not challenging, and most actions to progress are logically connected and easy to intuit. The story seems to have Russian influences, as many of the characters' names sound Slavic or Russian. The artwork is good, but the characters look robotic and not authentic. I am not familiar with the previous games in this series, but this game is enjoyable to play on its own.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Relaxed Hidden Object Game The beginning it seems you are gathering items more than any thing. Then I started getting into the story. I counted 19 hops. It was either lists which I like or simple find 15 herbs or 12 flower sort of thing. It was a good long game. My download data was 1G which is more than some CE games. I thought it was worth my free coupon.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So Many Questions, So Little Time The Demo will go by at warp speed, so please read the synopsis carefully. Opening animation: John has received a plea from his sister, Mary, a Ph.D. in botany. She needs a "safe" place to plant a new fern she has created from plants and her magical knowledge. As soon as they walk away, the plant starts to send out tendrils of (?) magic. The game then begins with John and Mary walking in the woods in July to check on her plant . A storm suddenly blows up with thunder, lightning, high winds, and snow. They run for cover. Brother and sister reach John's house to see a hole in one side of the outside walls. John rushes forward to peer inside the house and is grabbed by a green and violet colored winged magical creature suggestive of a dragon and reptile hybrid. A huge owl-like bird tries to stop the creature from flying off with John, but is left buried under debris and unconscious as the other creatures fly off up a rainbow. Mary revives the giant owl and learns its name, Avitar, and that the bad creatures are Zmeys. She will need to fly with the purple and pink owl to Vyrai, a kingdom located in the clouds, to look for John. Good news: All the expected elements of an average child's game are here. There are bright colors, a story, easy mini-games, and HOPs. Bad news: The upscale elements that were so very welcome and highly prized in the second Eventide game are MIA in this entry in the series. Specifically the two different collectibles are gone, players no longer can make ethical choices to affect game outcome, and the achievements are also MIA. As those elements in the second Eventide game were voluntary perks, it should be easy to get past that point. And it would be, if so much of the bare bones story were not confusing. Mary needs a "safe" place to plant her experimental plant. What did she expect it to do? And if she expected something bad to happen, why does it seem that she waited months to check on it? John suggests they "hide" in his house when the storm starts. How bad has his experience with storms been? It couldn't have been too horrible - his first aid box contained only a bottle of menthol and broken tweezers. And yes, the Demo is alarmingly short, which does not bode well for gamers looking for a lengthy game. Bottom line: Disappointment is the key word. I almost get the impression that the Devs are experimenting with their market. Give a little, take a little, and see how much or how little they need to do to have a financial success. I can't recommend that you buy something I wouldn't. I do recommend that you try the Demo for yourself. This might be a good game for beginners or younger players.
