Rated 5 out of 5 by from More Of The Same Is Good If It's What You Love! I'm so happy to see Jewel Match Solitaire 2! These games are so pretty and there's SO MUCH CONTENT! Lots of regular levels, many extra solitaire variations (some I've never even heard of!), and yes, more castles to build. I do agree with the other reviewers that it would be nice to have something new to build in these games. Maybe the developers will read this and do something different next time! But, my favorite thing is Hard Mode. It adds a different level of challenge than typical solitaire games, making each level even more interesting. It's also fun to learn how to play the different solitaire variations. My favorites with this game are Lady Palk and Ali Baba. Yes, Jewel Match Solitaire 2 is more of the same, but in a world of way too many Hidden Object and meaningless mobile games, I'll take it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love each and every Jewel Match so far. I tend do my gaming in moods and I find there is a time and mood for every Jewel Match produced thus far as far as I am concerned. Jewel Match can do no wrong in my book based on having played all of them (available elsewhere prior to release at BFG). The graphics are always nice, the challenge is there and dreaming about my castles are always pleasant as I play along. I definitely recommend all of them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from THIS STANDARD EDITION VERSION IS WORTH THE FOUR MONTH WAIT! Review based upon: Completed CE version Demo only SE version The Collector's Edition version of this Higher/Lower Solitaire game has a ton of extras, but this Standard Edition version still packs a punch, including 12 additional Bonus Solitaire variations. There are several levels that seemed impossible to beat and I had to replay them 20-30 times before I was able to remove all of the cards, other levels could be cleared on the first try, so it can be a challenging game if you are like me and have to keep trying until you get a perfect score. You can play in a Normal Solitaire Mode, a Hard Mode with a Timer, or a Relaxed Mode which gives you more than one deal. Both versions include 24 Achievement Trophies to earn and I do recommend that you read the Achievements before starting the game because there are a few that are awarded for selecting specific options, such as, choosing a Custom Cursor, Watching the Credits, Setting a Wallpaper, Replaying a Level, and even for Removing 5 Cards in 5 Seconds. The goal is to Remove Cards that are either one Higher or one Lower than the Deck Card, and you get to remove all of the cards, not just special cards like some games! Each level requires you to Collect Emeralds that are used to purchase Castle Sections. When a Castle has been completed, you can set it as a Wallpaper. If you don't have enough Emeralds to purchase a Castle section, this step is bypassed until you do. The Level Map shows how many Emeralds are available on each level. As you remove cards from the playing field, you will earn Coins that can be used in the Shop to purchase a Deck Card Counter~Remove a Random Card~Remove a Specific Card~Reveal some Face Down Cards~Extra Shuffle and Undo features~Card Specific Wildcards~Jokers, and the Chance to Receive Wildcards and Jokers during the Levels. Combo's start at 5 Cards and each level gives you 1 free Undo. You can earn up to 3 Stars per level and you can Replay the levels as often as you want to try to remove all of the Cards. There are several types of Obstacle Cards, such as, Locks that require you to remove the Key Card, Frozen Cards that require two Plays, Chains that require removing the Hammer Card, Ribbons that require removing Scissor Cards, Vines that require removing the Sickle Cards, Red and Black Seals that require removing Red and Black Cards, and Red and Black Suit Specific Cards that require removing Specific Suit Cards. As you progress, several types of obstacle cards may be included in a level at the same time. As you progress, you will unlock 12 Bonus Solitaire versions: (available in the Collector's Edition & Standard Edition versions) *Klondike by Twelves *FreeCell Two Decks *Spider Two Suits *Lady Polk *Ali Baba *Bakers Dozen *Acme Unlimited *Trusty Twelve *Giant *Lanes *Raglan *Twenty! The Collector's Edition version has a ton of extra's and is well worth the extra price because it includes 120 Extra CE Bonus Levels (practically like getting a second game) It also includes 6 Castle Wallpapers (available on both CE & SE versions) +3 Extra Castle Wallpapers, 7 Castle before/after Concept Art, 10 Music Soundtracks, 4 Card Back Graphics, 3 Card Font Graphics (available on both CE & SE versions) +4 Extra Card Back Graphics, 24 Trophies (available on both CE & SE versions) +Extra Trophy Achievements, 3 Extra Castles to build, 6 Extra Bonus Solitaire types: Scarab~Spanish Patience~Diplomat~Double Line~Nestor~Thieves of Egypt, 12 Power-ups (available on both CE & SE versions) +4 Bonus Power-ups. Rated 3 out of 5 by from great silitaire play but needs updating As usual with Jewel Match the solitaire game play is very good. Always a good game to play. And I do like games with buildings. However, it would be nice to build a town or a garden or? It's always castles. The one Jewel Match, I think it was for Valentines, did have more to offer. I would like to see something else. It's beginning to feel like I am playing the same game.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too Many Castles! Surely There Are Other Things To Rebuild! How nice it would be to rebuild some beautiful nature or aquatic scenes, some quaint European villages!!! How about inside a museum or art gallery? Even castle interiors that have been furnished and restored. Jewel Match always presents quality entertainment. I appreciate all their games, I love their solitaires and own them all, the features and graphics are excellent. But I am sick to pieces of all the drab castles! I do not enjoy rebuilding something boring and colorless, providing me with no anticipation of seeing the next addition to the rebuild. Even though the solitaire game is always top-notch, rebuilding is a huge part of the fun for me, so it really influences my decision to purchase. Unfortunately, I have decided to pass this time. But I have plenty of their prior games to keep me satisfied. I do hope to see some improvements in this particular area in the future. Certainly, I highly recommend today's new release for a splendid game of solitaire. God Bless....

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tired of re-building castles I have to say I own all the Jewel Match Solitaire games ever made. So I enjoy playing them. JMS 2 is a job well done once again as far as the graphics and music go. But the game's interface and upgrades are exactly the same as all the previous games. There's nothing new. My biggest complaint is the castles. Why do we always have to rebuild castles? It would be great, just for once, to decorate rooms INSIDE the castle. Or maybe just forget the castles and come up with something new and different. Please read the other reviewers who always spell out the exact game play. I'm just here to say these solitaire games are lovely to look at and playing is enjoyable. Unfortunately, JMS 2 is just a mash-up of all the previous versions. And if you love solitaire and you've never played one these, by all means do so. You'll be totally glad you did.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No change, same music, not very colorful A change of scenery, new music and more color added to this game would definitly be a plus.
