Travel Mosaics 10: Spooky Halloween is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Different than usual I always enjoy the "Travel Mosaics" series as they tell about each location, interesting tidbits. For Halloween they did it differently. I already knew of some places, but others I did not. Yes, some of the puzzles at the end of each location are difficult so I just pass on them. BTW, the flying bat only occurs on the 1st location. Give the game a try, you just might like it. It is Halloween after all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun little game! One of my favorite parts about this series is that there is no need to guess - they are figureoutable so to speak. The characters are a little weird looking, but thats not why I play these games.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My Favorite These are my favorite games. Perhaps those who have reviewed did not notice that you can change the backscreen. No dots if you dont like. Also I love using the squares in the cheese design. It makes all the rest of the colored stones different. There is a room to buy decorations that are really fun this time. (a little different but will not spoil). My favorite is the puzzle to do at the end of each page. Also if you make a mistake and dont want to start over just make a few more mistakes and you can answer a question and get it all fixed. Would have given a 5 but they still dont label the pictures and the dancing paint bush needs to give it a rest. .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ARE THESE TILES LESS HAUNTED? Perhaps it's just my imagination, but the tiles seem less bouncy, everything seemed to be less intense, and that's a good thing! I play Mosaic games to unwind and relax and the last thing I want is sensory overload while being gummy bear-ed and glitterbombed. These puzzles seem a little more challenging as well, so all in all, I'm impressed with the subtle changes, it also helps that I love Halloween :) There are options for the crossed-off cells such as light or dark cells and there are Five Tile fill-in options to choose from, a Bubble style, a square with rounded corners, a Princess Cut Diamond shape, a multi-faceted tile, and a lunar-style. You can play in an Easy mode which crosses off cells for you and applies the appropriate colors, a Normal mode, or a Difficult mode which only crosses off squares when the entire row and column have been completed, and you have to manually switch between colors. As you fill in the cells you will earn coins, Heart/Lives or Power-up recharges. Power-ups, such as a Hammer, Sun, Lightning or Bombs, originally don't have much coverage but increases with each upgrade. (can be upgraded twice) There are 7 Achievement Trophies to earn, and you can buy various souvenirs in the Shop to decorate the Walker family's spooky living room because apparently they ditch the older ones lol. Each of the Locations has 6 main Mosaic levels, 1 bonus level, and 1 additional puzzle (jigsaw variations) You must earn at least 2 Stars on each main level to open the bonus level, and you must earn a minimum of 2 stars on the Bonus Level to open the additional puzzle variation. You also have to earn at least 1 Star in each of the main levels to unlock the next location or group of mosaic levels. If you lose all your heart lives you will be given the opportunity to answer a question about the story to refill the heart-life meter. Rated 3 out of 5 by from please loose the bat Not a bad game, I would have probably purchased if it wasn't for the annoying bat flipping around on the screen (drove me crazy).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not my favorite Travel Mosaics is probably my least favorite of this style of mosaic games. I do not like those big circles between colors. The games get hard pretty fast. Even the bonus games are often very hard to figure out. There is nothing to build or buy. It is just one mosaic after another.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Inaccurate gameplay I found this game intensely annoying - even when I pressed the correct button it told me that I had made a mistake. It ruined the playing experience for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing Once again mostly 3 colors and repeating the same patterns frequently - various monsters, ghosts, etc with little detail. It seems players repeatedly request that they label the image because it's not always easy to figure out what it is supposed to be and this game was not an exception. I've enjoyed playing previous versions more than this one and have bought several, but will not be buying this one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Visuals need tweaking I usually don't review a game when I haven't played the full version, but this review is more for the developers. As mosaics go, the game is fun. If you like the genre, you might like this. But the contrast in the visuals is difficult to work with. The dark boxes and shadowy outlines are hard to differentiate and hard to count. The "dots" for the used spaces are not distinct enough to readily separate from the blank black boxes. I feel like I'm squinting to distinguish the boxes. Fix that and this line of games might be worth a game credit.
