Pixel Art 12 is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Came Late To This Party I don't know why it took me so long to discover this game-perhaps it was the similar Paint By Number which annoyed me that discouraged me. In Paint you can basically just hover the mouse over the whole picture and it just fills it in for you..where is the fun in that? With Pixel you have to do a lot more work- with a lot more precision and yes, can make mistakes but aren't penalized for doing so. I'm a big DOTZ fan and it's nice to have a similar game without having to search for stray dotz all over the living room each day. At first I was unhappy that each number tends to highlight in some manner in the picture but after doing some for over 2 hours I have to admit that this feature is becoming a lot more attractive..LOL I do have an issue with all the Pixel games-I'm an avid clicker and frequently double click & find it filling in whole areas or worst yet-REMOVING whole sections of already colored areas-I wish there was an option to disable that feature. I also find that I think I've clicked on a color only to see it hasn't registered and sometimes it changes to a whole different section of numbers and moves my picture. Of course the most fun is finishing the first set of pictures to see what the remaining ones are...keep them coming!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always Love Pixel Arts As always, very happy to see the next come out in the series. I just finished Pixel Art 11 so this was perfect timing. Keeps me in a carefree zone while working on the pictures. The only suggestion I would have at this time: I would like to see even MORE colors...push it to 45 colors. Other than that keep the game coming as frequently as you have had this year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Keep them coming!!! I am so hooked on the Pixel Art series. I don't see any obvious improvements from the last couple, but glad they only have white to gray to black for the background on the pictures that don't cover the whole screen (and not the next number multiplied all over the background, that were on the earlier ones in the series). I like the cursor better on this one, but still wish we had the option to change the size of the cursor.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I Love Pixel Art I own them all, but I think I'll pass on this one for a very simple reason...I don't want to work on an image and then end up with a big blur after all the time spent. The finished pictures were so disappointing. They should be nice and sharp, bright and clear, and larger as well. After completing several of the images in the first level, I just had no desire to continue. Coloring the first 3 was tedious because they were so unappealing. The remaining ones were really nice, but my enthusiasm had already dwindled. I would love to have seen the other levels, to check out the subject matter but for some ridiculous reason that is a no-no. It should not matter which level we want to go to!! The large cursor was kind of "floaty" and didn't move very quickly or smoothly, but the smaller one was just fine and more precise. I really loved the vast array of beautiful colors, The many shades and tones are so vital to bringing a picture to life. However, that beauty is not evident in the finished product, due to the poor quality caused by blurring. The color palette worked fine, except the up/down arrows were a little "touchy". Also I had to click 2-3 times on a color sometimes to use it. These were minor annoyances, but should be fixed. All the other features seemed to work okay. For me the most helpful is the zoom, especially for the elaborate images. But some enhancements certainly wouldn't hurt, to make the game more attractive. The sporadic music was the same as always, very soothing with some soft nature sounds. The Save Feature is great, can't imagine a game like this without it. Pixel Art has always been lots of fun for me and gives me a nice break from my books and pencils when laziness rules. With all the color/paint games I own, the artist in me is thriving. However, I see no point in purchasing a game that brings me only partial satisfaction. If they want my $$, they have to do better. There are many super art games out there, I own a few of them, and if Big Fish starts supplying more of them, I am ready and waiting. Hopefully, Pixel Art won't let the competition overshadow them. I do love Pixel Art and enjoy my previous purchases, it's just in need of some tweaking to increase the entertainment value, in my opinion. Do give the demo a try, Pixel Art is a fun, relaxing way to spend a quiet day or evening. I think the kids may even enjoy the less-detailed images, maybe teach them a little about color value. There are always cute ones included, more suited to the younger colorists. It's a pretty basic art game, yet can be somewhat challenging when trying to find those last few boxes or find all the scattered ones you need in the busier images.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from slow cursor absolutely adore pixel art. but my problem is my cursor is super slow to move around at the beginning of the art piece. it becomes easier to move as the game progresses (or the art piece gets filled in). but, boy!, is it a PIA in the meantime. maybe not a game issue. maybe just my computer issue. *shrug*

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst game ever I had bought one of the pixel art games before and quite enjoyed it, found quite relaxing, howver this one is dreadful, the finished pictures are so bad, so out of focus, sometimes can't even make out what the picture is supposed to be- what a waste of time - gave up after the 4th one - might as well just open paint and splodge bits on the screen. Very disappointed in this game. would not reccomend wasting money or credits on it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from IF NOBODY BOTHERS TO FIX THE BROKEN AFTER 12 GAMES...? Don't get me wrong, I love Pixel Art games, but if no one bothers to fix the Mac issue that places a tiny box in the bottom left corner of the screen why should I bother to buy them and give them a good star rating? I try to play the game but it's incredibly frustrating to have to play a game that is worse than windowed mode because it's not even centered! I've seen other mac users complaining about this issue in previous games, and I have personally been complaining about this issue in ALL of the games by this particular developer, so if they can't bother to fix them, I won't bother to reward them, sorry that's how this is supposed to work, right? Recently I played the newest game by this developer called Modern Art and I fell in love with that game, yes, even more than Pixel Art! The colors are textured like a true oil painting and the completed pictures are true works of art...I guess they are Modern works of Art (but again, same issue) There's not a whole lot to have to figure out, it's about as uncomplicated and basic as it gets so as long as someone can recognize numbers, they should be able to play! Pixel Art is a computer version of Paint by Numbers, in a pixelated version! Each pixel has a number and you chose the corresponding color bubble from the palette (also numbered) on the right side, and you simply left click to fill in all the numbers with the correct color, you can hold the mouse button and swipe through large groupings as well. There is a Slider Bar that allows you to zoom in & out (there's a "fit" tab as well) you can also move the entire page around by right-clicking and dragging. There is an auto-fill feature that will fill in large groups of pixels in a particular color by double-clicking, but that feature has to recharge after each use, besides, it's more satisfying to color them yourself. The last feature is a slider bar that allows you to change the color of the background, it really only allows you to change the colors in shades of grey to black. When you get around to fixing the Mac issue, I'll go back to giving the game 5-stars as well as purchasing them, till then, I'll pass on both, you can always reach me at thewoodsforum PIXEL ART SERIES LIST Title***Release Date***Average Rating 1-Pixel Art 1 (August 27-2018) 4.3 2-Pixel Art 2 (February 13-2019) 4.1 3-Pixel Art 3 (June 17-2019) 4.4 4-Pixel Art 4 (June 25-2019) 4.3 5-Pixel Art 5 (October 21-2019) 4.4 6-Pixel Art 6 (December 17-2019) 4.3 7-Pixel Art 7 (January 13-2020) 4.3 8-Pixel Art 8 (March 4-2020) 4.8 9-Pixel Art 9 (May 26-2020) 4.4 10-Pixel Art 10 (July 1-2020) n/a 11-Pixel Art 11 (August 19-2020) 4.0 12-Pixel Art 12 (December 9-2020) n/a by: T1 Games
