PuppetShow: Fatal Mistake Collector's Edition is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 39.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Game Thank You for letting me Pick my gender. I'm tired of being called "Mom" or "Sis" - I'm a guy! I really enjoyed this game. It was fun and nice to look at all the colorful details. The plot was a bit predictable, yet it went in many Unpredictable ways. Overall the puzzles were easy enough but there is Never enough Hidden Object Puzzles for me. The Maps were helpful when I wasn't sure what to do or where to go next. I did not rush through it and came back 5 times to finish, so nice long game. Even the Bonus game was long. Well worth the money and time it took to play.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and original Truly, I'm enjoying playing this newest game in the Puppetshow series. The series has always been amongst my favorites and doesn't disappoint at all. As always I'm amazed by the creativity of the developers. I couldn't imagine that kind of machines and puppets. Also they're beautifully drawn. It's pure candy for the eye, this game. I'm enjoying playing it slow and admire the art work. Thanks developers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very thrilling I don't normally write a review (my very first one indeed). I have always been a fan of PuppetShow game. This one in particular is really thrilling, full of suspense and brilliant mini puzzles games and HOPS. The suspense ending makes you crave for more. One of my favourite things about this game is the extras. I really like the collectables and the fact that you can choose your look and gender. I definitely recommend this game. :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved everything about it except the lack of morphs I didn't like that this game has no morphs and the collectibles are short. I don't know why the strategy guide list collectibles and souvenirs because there is only 10 mechanical animal collectibles with info. The last game had 26 morphs and 15 collectibles. I think I'm getting less for my money. I Love the game besides that. It has replays on 15 hops, 12 mini-games, 4 music and 9 movies. With 7 wallpapers, 8 concept art and 8 screensavers. I always like their screensavers. 4 chapters + bonus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I know, I know, five stars all along sounds too good to be true But really, I did have that much fun playing this game. I appreciated the characters and the storyline, the quality of the graphics and variety of hidden-object scenes and mini-games. Although the plot did have that Totally Unexpected Plot Twist That The Person You Thought Was The Good Guy Is Actually The Bad Guy, which annoys me about a lot of HOA plots, the rest of the story was enjoyable and it kept me involved in the game. I know a couple of reviewers have mentioned that the game is short, but I didn't feel like it was too short to be a CE. Anyway, I'm glad I bought this game on the strength of the reviews I saw here, and I think you'll enjoy it, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very thrilling game! I have never played a PuppetShow game until now but I will definitely be tempted to buy other games in the series after playing this one! The story is great, with some brilliant twists (One of which is sadly spoiled in the wallpaper bonus section). The visuals and soundtrack are brilliant as well. I would highly recommend this game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from VERY ENJOYABLE Puppet Show / Fatal Mistake is a great achievement of artwork and animated movement that draws you in to a world of mechanical people and mechanized traps. You play the role of a talented student of a Professor of mechanical engineering who has designed robots and cyborgs intending for them to benefit human kind, but they have been corrupted by a crazed cyborg who wants to take control of the operation and eliminate the people standing in its way. The puzzles are only moderately difficult , they are well designed and fun, there is no frustration in completing them. The environment is eerie , slightly creepy, filled with strange machines and cyborg/puppet parts that you gather and manipulate to unlock areas as you progress , in order to stop the plans of the insane cyborg Rick. This is one of the more creative and truly fun "hidden object" games to come out in a long time. I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THIS IS THE PUPPET SHOW I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR! Puppet Show Final Mistake is absolutely the best game in the Puppet Show series in years. I lost all interest in the Puppet Show games several years ago so it was quite a surprise when I found that I loved everything about Final Mistake. The game has everything that make HOPA games fun to play. Although there are far more mini-games than HOS, I found myself enjoying the gameplay. Normally, I dislike finding almost twice as many mini-games as HOS in HOPA games, but it didn’t seem to bother me quite as much because I found that I enjoyed solving all of the mini-games with the exception of the few that I skipped as they were not my favorite type to solve. Because Final Mistake is such a wonderful game, I know that when I play it a second time, I will slow down and solve the handful of mini-games that I skipped the first time around. The graphics in the game are beautiful and full of color. The artistic talent of the development team shines in every scene in the game. The original team created some of the most beautiful HOPA games that made me a huge fan of the genre. Although there is a warning in the beginning of the game about some violence, there was nothing I could see that would justify the need for that warning. The game has a good storyline that tied the package together and make Final Mistake a Puppet Show game that in my estimation is not a mistake at all. Since about the time that the seventh game in the Puppet Show series came along it was apparent that the series had dwindled to nothing more than cookie cutter games. With Final Mistake it is easy to see the difference, which has kept me immersed in the game much of the morning. I have been playing for almost five hours and have not yet reached the end of the original game. In recent years with so many HOPA games falling into the cookie cutter category, it’s not unusual for me to skip the Bonus Chapter but because Final Mistake is so terrific, I will definitely keep playing until I complete the Bonus Chapter. The HOS are creative, interactive and a lot of fun. There is some variety in the HOS although many of the scenes are revisited more than once. If a scene is played a second time, there will a change in the style or type of scene. The mini-games were fun with various levels of challenge. I am not overly fond of mini-games but I did like the ones included in Final Mistake. I only skipped a couple of the mini-games that took more time to solve but I will solve them when I play the game a second time through. Although the game is a Collectors Edition I didn’t really notice too much in the way of collectibles. There are no morphing objects which are what I enjoy most in CE games. Aside from the collectibles there is not much that I consider CE worthy except for the Strategy Guide and the handful of mechanical animals to be collected. Puppet Show Final Mistake is such an excellent game that I highly recommend it to other HOPA gamers. In many ways the game seems “retro” in that it has a great storyline and a wonderful gameplay factor that has had me happily searching for items, playing mini-games, and learning more about Dr. Kingston, his assistant Natalie, and the cyborgs all morning. Even though I love Puppet Show Final Mistake, please try the demo to see if it is a game you will enjoy as well. Happy gaming!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Make no mistake... this game is FANTASTIC I've played all the PuppetShow games and this is one of the best. The storyline really grabbed me. Yes, as others have mentioned, there is a little "lag" in this game at times. When you click to grab something it takes a second to actually collect it. I've just decided to ignore that and play. A must try.
