Travel To Mexico is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good teaching tool! As well as fun. We have a precocious 6 year old living with us and he loves hidden object games. This game is great for learning on so many levels! Reading, vocabulary, cultural education, computer skills, and on and on. We do the game together ( I love HOGS too!) and he can ALMOST play alone. Not ready to leave him alone with my computer! LOL

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Old fashioned family fun travelling the world. This is yet another in a long line of 'same games' in a series where you travel to various locations around the world. Its not a negative however in this case, as the countries all differ and the developer always mixes up the minigames that are part of it. The scenes are sweet, colourful and a little 'junky'..and things are not where you expect to find them nor particularly the size you expect..you may find an elephant on a roof, or a giant glass of wine on the road..who knows lol. You play each hidden object scene several times in various modes such as straight lists, silouhette, jumbled letters etc and this gives you stars to open up other scenes and the minigames.. You can play a location as many times as you like. There is also always a 'lazy turtle' to find once in each location. The minigames in this one are a jigsaw, mahjong, word search of Mexican cities, memory match cards, and my favourite a 'chain' style M3. All are fun. Its just an all round great little game. You can play relaxed or time yourself for 10 or 3 mins to complete. You can have 5 profiles so the whole family can play this. Try the demo as always, but its good clean distraction, and you will learn facts about the country you are playing. Enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE BEST ONE YET My review is based on playing the one-hour demo as well as purchasing and playing all the previous games in this series. This one is the very best one yet. The graphics are so colorful and bright, the items are harder to find than in previous games, and the information on the Mexican locations is more complete. I also enjoy trying to find the little turtle in each scene that gets me an additional 500 points. This is a straight forward HOG, my favorite kind of game. There are several variations of the HO list for each scene; words, silhouette, scrambled, etc. This is a very enjoyable game that can be played for many hours. The only thing that would add to this game would be an unlimited mode of play where all of the items could be found. I highly recommend this game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Hudsons Have Arrived At A Beautiful Destination Mexico is a wealth of history and beauty. Having lived there back in the 60's, I thought I'd check out our new Travel game. There certainly is a lot to keep us busy and the locations are nice and sharp, exhibiting vivid color, loaded with hidden items that are not always so easy to spot. There is a fun variety of mini-games that are not of much challenge, but provide a nice little break from a long stretch of searching for the HOs. The size of some of the items are out of proportion which, oddly, sometimes makes them harder to locate. Our cute little turtle is back, one in each location. And all the scenes can be replayed til the cows come home, no limits in your quest for the perfect score or the fun. I always love the facts provided for each country in our travels with the Hudson family. They make the game a great learning tool for children, as well as adults. This is a family friendly game, I think ideal for these times of isolation. Each new release is pretty much the same as the last, as far as features and mechanics. However, because there is a different country visited each time, I can overlook all the familiar content and enjoy the carefree fun that it is. It's nice to break away from the more serious games, once in a while.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ?WHY DO WE EARN POINTS?? Sooo, I'm just curious, if we earn stars for completing a level which unlocks other levels, why do we earn points for collecting objects when there's nothing to buy? I earn a whopping +1000 points for spotting the Lazy Turtle in each scene, that should put some serious $$ in the bank to purchase a souvenir or two? My "Point" here isn't just about the points, it's about making a point that every game doesn't need to be predictable, it doesn't have to have the same exact features. Think outside the box, keep the series exciting, offer new features while keeping the basic fan favorites so that people don't say "oh, it's just another Travel To game" You can play in 3 different modes, a Relaxed Untimed Mode, 10-Minute Timed Mode, or a 3-Minute Timed Mode to complete each level. You will earn a single star on each HO location and the next location requires 2-3 stars to unlock it so you will need to replay the previous scenes in order to earn enough stars to progress. Each scene has a Lazy Turtle to discover (once you find him he won't appear when you replay the same scene) and there are trivia facts before visiting each location. The Lazy Turtle was added a few games ago but I'm still going to push for the actual Lazy Turtle Logo to be used versus the plastic turtle because the Lazy Turtle Logo is one of the coolest logos I've seen. He's an adorable "lazy" turtle wearing a sombrero and leaning up against a palm tree. If they used a semi-transparent image of this logo and hid it in each scene it would be so much better and make much more sense! (free advertising too, never hurts) There are no misclick penalties and you can replay the scenes as often as you'd like, but each time the style changes between Listed Items, Silhouetted Shapes, and my favorite, Scrambled Letter finds. (which ain't as easy as you'd think folks) My biggest complaint and one of the reason's I'm still leaning on a 4-star and not a 5-star rating is that the items remain in the same position every time you repeat the scene, and most of the time you are tasked with finding the same items over and over. Anyone can master a Hidden Object Scene if they stare at the same pattern 10 times in a row, right? Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for me I think I played less than 5 minutes of this game, it is very boring in the time I played I stayed in the same scene each time I finished ie. I didn't move on to another scene but continued in the same one and this always puts me off playing any more and/or buying a game. 0/10 for this one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Boring I don't understand why other people gave this game such a high rating. I found it boring and repetitive. The mini-games were nothing new either. I played for five minutes and gave up!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from B.O.R.I.N.G The scenes change, of course, and the challenge level obviously becomes more difficult, but never does it become interesting. I kept thinking there has to be something about this game that got 4 stars out of 7 players, but darned if I could see it happen. I literally began falling asleep, probably because of the eyestrain alone. Save yourself the money and pass this one up.
