Customer Reviews
Rainbow Mosaics 15: Twilight Sentinel is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Welcome Back, Helper Was thrilled to see a new Rainbow Mosaics today. I don't care that it missed Halloween, it doesn't spoil the fun, for me. This is a quality mosaics game that keeps me entertained for many hours with its 130 levels, and it always makes me smile. I like Helper as a cute little added attraction, doing this and that is his function, but I do like when the story gives him more to do. The stories are just plain and simple. Good or flimsy, the plot doesn't matter all that much, the puzzles being the main attraction. The images are always cute and very colorful, nice bright colors. I love the choices of tile styles and I try all of them throughout the game. It adds a little extra fun element. There are 2 game modes, Expert and Normal. I switch back and forth, sometimes the Expert mode is a bit too frustrating for me, lack of patience makes Normal mode a more fun choice. I love all the features and the power-ups are very helpful when in Expert mode. The dog power-up is my favorite as they scamper across the puzzle to "help". The mini games are not at all challenging, but a nice little break from the mosaics. I really enjoy the Tetris style game and hope it continues to be a part of Rainbow Mosaics. The graphics are always so sharp and beautiful and I appreciate that I never have any tech problems interfering with the fun. I own all the Rainbow Mosaics, all run smoothly on my PC. This is one of my 2 go-to nonogram games. I have purchased many, but Rainbow Mosaics is really my fave because I love all the images and colors and I can recognize the pics easily as they come together. Hopefully, this is a continuing series with perhaps some new colors and imaginative themes that keep the fun and interest flowing. I appreciate Rainbow Mosaics for the relaxing, at the same time challenging, break from all the HOPAs that can become so tedious.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from They can do better. I agree with pennmom; this constant use of the 'robot helper' has turned what was a really good mosaic game into something that's just repetitive and frankly a bit silly. Awigor are capable of much better than just repeating this procession of silly stories. This is the 7th game in a row with the robot helper and whilst I have bought all the others, this will be the last one. I'm tired of the well meaning but basically gormless robot. The colours are lovely, the graphics crisp and clear, the choice of tiles excellent and you can choose between 2 modes of play. The penguin mosaics give 3 choices and this game would benefit from a 'normal' mode, rather than just offering 'easy' or 'hard'. The addition of a 'hidden object' scene now and again would be better if the objects were actually hidden. There is nothing wrong with these games but it's just lazy to keep on offering the same old thing with only a change of story. The dev is capable of much better than this silly 'Helper Robot' storyline.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from JUST IN TIME FOR HALLOWEEN!? There was a time when I wouldn't have dreamed of giving a Rainbow Mosaic game less than a 5-Star rating much less being on the fence with my decision of whether or not I needed to purchase a new game. They always had better features than the "penguin-themed" games, the colors were more vibrant, they had more tile selection options, and they always had a cute little story attached to them, but the last 7 games have been, "Helper does this, Helper does that". When they released Detective Agency Mosaics, that game had an amazing storyline and had 16 Five star reviews with an incredible average rating of 5-stars so I think that proves that people ARE looking for a better plot, at least something that doesn't have a Helper theme. It just seems incredibly lazy on the developers part, it's boring and very unimaginative! The last few games have added Hidden Object Scenes, which would be okay if they were somewhat challenging, but the Listed Objects still aren't hidden, they are just laying out in the open. You can skip the HO scene, but you will earn a star for completing the scene, 2 stars for completing the scene using less than 2 hints, and 3 stars for completing the scene using one hint or less. Fortunately, they have continued with the Tetris-style Mini-game that allows you to solve a puzzle to fill in a Mystery Number on each of the Mosaic Puzzles. You will come across a (?) Question Mark on each puzzle that hides one of the Numbers in a column or row. When you click on the (?) it activates a puzzle that requires you to drag all of the Tetris-style shapes into a grid without overlapping pieces. (btw: the puzzle shapes look really cool in the Lego-style tile selection) You can Skip the mini-game, and eventually, you will be able to figure out the hidden number by a process of elimination without having to click on the question mark, but I love this puzzle feature! There are 130 Mosaic Levels with 18 Tile Styles ranging from beveled edges to Hawaiian flowers, but my favorite has always been the Lego-style tile. They have also added 2 Crossed-off tile options, one of which has a beveled or rounded edge, the other is the standard square edge. You can play in a Normal Mode which crosses off numbers one by one, or an Expert Mode which only crosses off the numbers when the entire row or column has been completed. As you correctly fill in squares, you will earn coins that can be used to purchase Decorations or purchase upgrades for the Power-ups which are hint forms that will increase in the size of coverage with each upgrade. The Dog power-up opens a random right square, the Lightning power-up opens up a chosen square with no negative outcome, and the Lamp power-up opens a chosen grid area without a negative outcome. Each power-up can be upgraded twice to cover a larger area on the grid. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Shame They Missed Halloween Would have been a good game for Halloween. Why so late? Plus Side - Nothing different from any other Robot Helper game but a good way to pass the time. Puzzles do seem to be based on logic. Minus Side - Music was really terrible. Story was boring and confusing with far too much reading. For those who stress over getting all the awards: Don't 'buy' anything until you have the award for coins. You can replay the HOGs as many times as you want and rack up the coins.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So disappointing I usually love these games but the Helper is just not to my liking. The game play this time was just so-so. Awigor seem to have just sat back and not given much thought to this game. Boring story and, from an European point of view, Halloween is not too interesting. Please ditch the Helper - he's just a pain.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn't hold a candle to Fantasy Mosaics Compared to Fantasy Mosaics, the controls are sluggish and that makes the play sluggish. Graphics are OK, but again, if I had to choose between a Fantasy Mosaics and a Rainbow Mosaics puzzle….Fantasy would win hands down. This just is not as playable or fun.
