Pride and Prejudice: Blood Ties Collector's Edition is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 68.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from To Telltale, a well known developer , welcome! I am thrilled to see this game; I love the style and humour and although am only about 1/4 of the way through, I had to stop and express my gratitude. This is like an adventure game and so far it has been really fun. Not a hog game and the puzzles I have come across are innovative and fun. There are other, more comprehensive reviews here so I will simply say, Great great great! Please can we get more game like this??? Many thanks...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from original Love this game! It has a few original ideas for game play. Not the same old. I am taking my time with it because I like it so much. Smooth and fun to play.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LEAVE EXPECTATIONS TO FIND DELIGHT My heading sounds like a fortune cookie but perhaps it says what is needed with this game which is indeed original. We, many of us, feel the now active hopa developers are mailing it in,the formula as usual. This game is ,as Pennmom says, something different. It is not Jane Austen, in spite of the title (and of Jane Austen's work it would be closer to Northanger Abbey's Gothic mood than Pride and Prejudice),it does not offer an hour long trial run, and it does not quite work in the way of the games we complain of as mindless but have grown accustomed to. something new! "Fascinating!" as Mr. Spock would say and then also maybe you will join me in feeling a real delight!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did not want it to end Yeah to the developers. I had so much fun playing this game. I've played some games lately that I could care less if I finished (got them with a BOGO), but not this game. I experienced some new features while playing. Not sure why it's getting many bad reviews. To each his/her own. Give it a try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fresh and Fun! While the sound is truly awful... the rest of the game is so refreshingly new and different that it's worth dealing with that. Hopefully the devs will take heed and work on their sound quality because with that corrected it could be spectacular. I also HATE that BFG lists "visual/sound quality" as a single star rating since you can have excellent visuals with lousy sound or vice versa...I rated that star poor but still loved the game so overall gave five stars aka: loved it. There are already a couple reviews that list details so won't go into that. But the puzzles are challenging and some of them really made me think hard! That's a nice change from the usual tic-tac-toe level of puzzles in games these days. This was an easy buy, especially with the current BOGO sale running. Give it a shot and if the sound is bothersome turn it off... the game is worth it. =) PS: Bonus points for spelling whoa correctly... the word "woah" doesn't exist unless you're Joey Lawrence. HAHA

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Welcome to a New Developer Loving this game so far because it's DIFFERENT than the usual HOPA and challenging but I think I would have purchased it anyway just to welcome Telltale Games because we have been hurting for lack of developers. So WELCOME Telltale and hope to see more of you soon!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE GAME HAD ME AT "AD REM" :D "AD REM" is something that appears very shortly after the beginning of the adventure, and I was completely hooked. The only reason I played the entire 30 minute demo was to see if they actually meant a whole 30 minutes, and yes they did! Dang I love honesty. The so-called 60 minute demos seldom deliver 60 minutes - more like 40-45. I've seen other reviewers say that this is a long game. For me, it was way too short. Couldn't believe it when I saw the end game approaching. I. INCREDIBLY COOL 1. The word "somehow" is nowhere to be found in the main game, and only once in the bonus. (Bless you Telltale and Wonderland teams) 2. There is only one short scene that involves feeding the beastie. It's over before you know it. (Bless you again, Telltale and Wonderland teams) 3. Whoever wrote the script for our heroine did a great job. Loved it. 4. The acting works for me - not great, but fits in with the game just fine. 5. As for the gameplay - the first scene in the adventure takes you on a whole new trip. No same-old same-olds, except for one in-scene mini-game that runs throughout the story, and it's a fav I've been missing for a long time . You cannot play this game in your sleep. Every nook and cranny has a little discovery, and if something nags at you to click somewhere, do it. II. NOT SO COOL 1. While the dialogue scripts are great, the helpful texts and HO texts are occasionally way off the mark. They should have been checked with the UK team (Telltale) before being added in. Or the UK team should have fixed it. So often QC only checks game play, skimming over the text or completely ignoring it. 2. In the silhouette HO's, the silhouettes are black on a dark green background. For me, it was impossible to figure out what some of the images were supposed to be, so I merely clicked on the usual suspects, which worked fine. 3. FOR TELLTALE AND WONDERLAND: that item you have us put on the xxxx is NOT A PAPERWEIGHT. It's an ink blotter and only weighs a few ounces of wood, carboard, and blotting material. Please pass the word so that your colleagues will stop using the dang thing to hammer nails and weigh stuff down, like ropes and chains. For my fellow gamers: enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For me a better buy Quite the reverse to the first review I am refreshed that at last we have a good lengthy game worthy of a CE edition. I will not review further given you have quite a helpful review already on the game but I thank the developers for considering the difference in price of a CE and therefore ther merits of a longer game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pride and Prejudice: Blood Ties Collector's Edition I enjoy playing games from certain developers especially new developers. I Found this game suited me because I have played similar games in the past where I find objects to go around a circle. I also liked it because it was a large game for me to play with great graphics. I am used to an hour but this will do to pass a bit of time on

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun game despite appalling voice acting I enjoyed this game, it was a good length with some interesting puzzles, though some aspects became a bit repetitive (eg having to find five pieces of an object to fill a circle - there were at least a couple of these in every scene). Forget Pride & Prejudice, it's really nothing to do with the book at all. But that doesn't matter so much if you just play it as a regular HOG. The graphics are okay. I quite liked the colours as I tend to like more colourful games. They weren't brilliant though. What really lets it down is the APPALLING voice acting. I have never played a game with such awful, wrong voice acting. And why they say "Rozz-ings" at the start (multiple times - almost like they're trying to torment you!) rather than "Rose-ings" - when there are half a dozen Jane Austen adaptations and countless YouTube videos they could have watched that use the correct pronunciation - is really inexplicable. You would think at least one of the voice actors would have known. The word is even spelt phonetically: "Rosings". In terms of collectibles there weren't the usual morphing objects you get in a Collector's Edition, just one or two bats in each scene, which weren't hard to find. However, the Bonus Chapter was a decent length with some decent puzzles, and felt like a continuation of the main game both in its puzzle content and plot.
