The Wild Case is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from More like this please!!! Point and click adventures are few an far between so when I see one I grab it. Absolutely loved this one because it was linear and not ridiculously hard. Everything made sense and I think I only had to check a walkthrough once which is unusual for me because they usually make these things so hard. This one was just right! I look forward to having an engrossing game like this again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Got Me Thinking I loved this game. Sure it's a bit rough around the edges and the dialogue was a bit tedious, but I love games where you have to think for yourself. If the developers had smoothed out the dodgy bits, it would have been close to perfect. Not for those who need constant "hand-holding" and "sparkly hints" or who can't figure things out for themselves. The scenery is beautiful and the story presents a bit of an "ah ha" moment at the end. Bring on more games like this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best game in a long time This game is retro, but fun and there should be more games like this. It's good because the game goes on for a few days, as you have to think and not rely on an hint button.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a Surprise When I began playing The Wild Case, I thought it was so boring. I was going to delete it. But after reading some of the reviews, I thought OK I'll try it a little longer. It turns out that this is a very good game. The story line is great. What make this game so good is the fact that there are no hints. You have to do a lot of reading to solve the mystery of who are the red-eyed monsters. Where are they hiding? Why are the people afraid of the red-eyed monsters? There is a map, but I felt better traveling all over the town to get familiar with everyone living in the town and the woods. If you are an HO player, you will have no problem solving The Wild Case. If another game like this becomes available, I will not hesitate to buy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An old fashioned fun adventure game No bells, no whistles, no light show or sound and fury, just a nice old-fashioned adventure. I will admit, I had to resort to a walkthrough twice (and there are both video and print walkthroughs available with a search), but was embarrassed each time, because I had missed looking in a dark spot, or had not examined a scene carefully enough. It was an interesting story, slow moving, but not boring. I enjoyed the little surprises along the way - find a new person when I went back to a scene, or figuring out how to make another person move when I needed them to get out of my way. Background sounds are spooky forest, and it is rather dark and murky, but I enjoyed it, and will probably play it again in a year or so, when I've forgotten where things were. I found it relaxing, and I recommend it - as long as one is prepared for a slow moving game that is reminiscent of old text games. Oh, there is one large spider, for those arachnophobes among us.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Game Ever I don't usually write a review..but for this game I am. It was a good game with lots of challenges. You should make more games like this. I am really tired of the Fairy Tale stories. I would recommend this game..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from almost gave up this is a thinker, takes patience annoying that they didn't talk but a thinker for sure. make sure you check the dark spots things hiding in there. but i liked that i didn't flush right through this and had to use my brain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Adventure Game Lite Loved this! Finally, a game that challenges the mind! A bit older style graphics, but not bad at all. I am a 72-year-old gamer and I buy games for the challenge, not the pretty pictures. BFG really should offer more games like this! Played all day yesterday!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game without the Bells and Whistles Cast your mind back when life was not as technically easy as it is today. No Mobile phones, no computers, no gadgets in cars. This game is very retro and in this one there are no hints, helpers, sparkles etc, you just have to go it alone and solve all the clues without any aid what so ever apart from what the locals tell you. This game will not suit everyone but I love it. All to often with HOPAS you have a hint and yes I admit I do use hints when really struggling but here you just have to persevere which is so cool. Full credit to the developers of this one and great to have a change from the norm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from spooky adventure Although I no longer do really long or in depth reviews, I did want to jump in and say that this game was great fun for me. It had a nostalgic tone that took me back to some of the old days adventure games that I really lost myself in way back when. So I really enjoyed it. I know it won't be for everyone, so be sure and try the game first.
