Queen's Quest V: Symphony of Death Collector's Edition is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super FUN, and Not Dark If you prefer fun, non-dark HOGs this is your game. I really enjoyed finding all the ingredients for the transforming potions. Very cute and fun touch to this super fun game! Try it...... you'll LIKE IT all around!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST YET! I enjoyed this game. The best of the "Queen's Quest" yet. Story line good, Graphics good and the HO's suited me just fine. I'm not too crazy about Mini Games; some where ok but others were not good, too much time trying to get the right combination to unlock a door or chest. I usually skip those because they are too hard and stupid anyway. Hidden Object Games should be just that and not a lot of Brain Twisters; just my opinion. Anyway thanks for a Great Game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful game This game is a real joy! Everything is good. Storyline, Graphics ( i love the scenery, it's done with much love for detail!), the music, etc. We had to wait long time for a real good game to come along. This one is a real pleasure to play!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Another adventure for the shape shifting Medic! Another game about the witch who transforms into other creatures by mixing potions. This one is a bit more accessible and doesn't spend too much time (a fault with the previous games) on mixing them. The miniature worlds she transforms to are delightful (eg. the cocky mouse!) A good story and well-drawn. Sequel is charming and of respectable length. However! Absolutely no acknowledgement of found morphs or collectibles in the bonus section, which pretty much makes finding them pointless. 2 points off fun factor for this. Come on guys, if you are going to the trouble of including morphs and hidden objects, at the very least you can tot up how many we get!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Another Appearance Of The Queens I really liked this game, and so I bought it. Some commentators gave it less stars and I can't understand that. But we all have our own taste in games. Others have commented about all it has, so I won't go into that. I liked the different characters that are involved and I think that always makes a game have more of a personal touch. I really liked the HO'S, and the art work is wonderful, as well as the animations. The only complaint I have about it, which is why I only gave it four stars, is that many of the mini games have the deal where you have to place objects in their proper place and moving one will make the others move. I really don't like that! I find it very aggravating, so I skipped all the mini games that had that feature. It was a little too much. I would like to see jigsaw puzzles (like putting a broken stained glass window together etc) and coloring, painting, etc in mini games. Some do have them, and I wish there were more instead of the same ole same ole. Aside from that, I enjoyed this game. I have all the Queen games and I thought this one was/is as good as the others.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Queens Quest one of the best I am really enjoying this game, I think better than the previous Queens Quest I have played, they have been excellent games, but I feel this is just a bit better, graphics are excellent, the puzzles although not hard are enjoyable , the hos are very good, an interesting and I think good for any level of play , it is an easy light hearted game enjoy

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Why not better reviews? I was surprised at the reviews for this game, I almost didn't try it but I did and really liked it. It was a little slow sometimes but the storyline was good, colors were nice and it was relaxing to play. Try it for yourself.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not a bad game, but not the greatest so, I bought this game today - was a good sale. Not the greatest game, however, I was desperate for a new HOPA CE game. I'm enjoying it - I do find the collectibles a bit hard to locate, but that's okay - I always take my time looking for them first before carrying on with each new scene. Yes, many of the HOP scenes are quite creative and fun. Graphics, voice-overs, etc. all are excellent. It's been a good way to while away a Saturday afternoon.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from MY "KING'S" QUEST BECAME RATHER REPETITIVE As a world-renowned Alchemist, the King has requested your services (shouldn't it be King's Quest V?) investigating the Missing Children case. One suspect has already been arrested, but it's highly unlikely he's responsible because he doesn't fit the profile. In fact, no one fits this particular profile because all the evidence collected points to something not human, at least not completely human! I quickly became bored with this game because not only did the storyline seem to drag on and on, but it was very predictable, I suspected where the plot was heading as soon as I met with the King. Not only did the storyline drag, but the mini-games were the same mini-games for each chapter, you would play the same game every time you entered a portal, the same game to leave the portal and the same types of games during each chapter. There is a Gadget which is a staple feature in this series, a Potion Cube to make Transformation Potions, it too is repetitive and used an average of 2 times per chapter. The good news is that there is a good ratio of Mini-Games: Hidden Object Scenes and the hand-drawn graphics are beautifully illustrated. The Hidden Object Scenes are varied with Interactive List Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, and Multiples of the Same Object Finds. Most of the scenes are very interactive requiring moving other objects out of the way or finding and replacing missing parts. Each Hidden Object Scene has a Morphing Object that must be clicked when in the correct Form. There is an alternate Matching Pairs game available where you click on 2 Related Items such as a Broom and a Dustpan. The Mini-Games are okay but rather easy and very repetitive because you have to complete the same puzzles for each chapter. The puzzle to access each of the portal locations is the same, the puzzle to return to the King is the same each time, and I've never been a fan of recipe puzzles because there's no skill involved and you have to repeat the Potion Cube Recipes 6 different times! Even the puzzles that aren't repeated, only slightly change from chapter to chapter but they are all puzzles that have been offered in other Brave Giant games. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the first 3 chapters, the point I gave up: 1-Follow the picture diagram to create potion recipes x6. 2-Turn over clouds to find matching symbols, not all symbols have pairs. 3-Rotate & place fragments into highlighted slots each time you enter the portal. 4-Choose the single token that doesn't have any symbols on the beasts tokens. 5-Find and replace misplaced items to progress the story. 6-Slide tokens along the tracks to their correct matching slots. 7-Swap figurines according to the clue shown. 8-Move figure the specified number of squares in the correct direction. 9-Find 3 DNA markers that are located on each slide. 10-Find 6 pairs of related objects. 11-Rotate rings on a disk to recreate the image shown, moving one ring affects others. 12-Arrange the images in chronological order. 13-Turn all flowers purple, selecting one affects others. 14-Find 3 symbols in each scene to progress the story. 15-Drag pawprints through the labyrinth. This Collector's Edition version has 6 Wallpapers, 6 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, replayable Movie Video Cutscenes, re-playable Mini-Games, and Hidden Object Scenes, 16 Hidden Magic Wands (with origins) 16 Hidden Puzzle Pieces, 8 Hidden Ghosts (crystal ball to show when a collectible is available purple if available, grey when all collectibles have been found) 21 Achievements to Earn, 4 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter (very long chapters and extremely long BC) and a Built-in Strategy Guide.
