Robin Hood: Country Heroes is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fun game I just bought this game and I am on level 16 and finding it great. I am having fun with it. If it were any easier it would not have any challenge. It is fun to figure out what comes next and I have had to play the level 2 or sometimes 3 times to get the 3 stars. One level I only got 2. I will try it again later. And what the other people said is true about the roads and wood and buildings, but I just see it as part of the game. If were any easier there would not be a challenge. I love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Challenging time management game I found this one to be just hard enough to keep my interest. There's not much in the way of a story, and the ending is really anticlimactic, but the animation is bright and colorful and the premise is entertaining. I found some of the extra tasks with regards to dealing with the Sheriff's men to be clever, but also a little overly difficult. It wasn't always easy for me to tell what it was I had to do to engineer some of the booby traps. Also, it was occasionally tricky to put my mouse over an item in just the right way. But otherwise it was a lot of fun and it kept me amused for hours.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun to pass the time, not hard I enjoyed this game because I like mindless TM games to pass the time. The idea of setting up traps to get the baddies out of the way is novel and the graphics are bubbly/colourful. The storyline was a bit contrived and the ending didn't make sense at all. At least the English grammar was good and the dialogue at the start of each level was clear and relevant. My main problem with the game is that it was too easy. There are only two difficulty levels: not timed and timed. I always like to play TM games first in the average difficulty level and then over again in the hard/expert difficulty level but didn't get to do that for this game. In fact (playing on a Mac), there seemed to be a bug in the game... The timer never went below two stars, just hovered there. I didn't really realize this until the last few levels when I expect that I shouldn't be able to get two stars the first attempt. So if you're playing and you think you must just be really good at this... it's probably just because there's a bug!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 4 Stars and that's a gift Just a suggestion. If you are looking for a mind-numbing challenge, this is not it. Normal mode is ridiculously easy. In fact it takes almost no planning to accomplish 3 stars. That said, it was a welcome relief after I played another game I purchased at the same time, Caveman Tales, which is impossibly difficult - unlike the early Kingdom Tales by the same developer. So, frustrated with the latter, I played this game. It's relaxing and cute. The music is repetitive but not obnoxious. Good game for a rainy day, novice players and some of us who just can't handle the clicking, clicking, clicking and failure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun, but too easy to get 3 stars on every level. I really liked this, but it definitely needs a higher challenge option. The timer goes down to the stars quite quickly but then sits there for AGES before removing the star! I actually thought it was broken for a while. I really like these types of time management games, and I would put this in my "loved it" section if it was only harder. I got 3 stars on each and every level, only having to re-do a level on 2 out of 45 levels to achieve that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun game! Played the demo & bought it because I wanted to keep playing- always a good sign! Responding some of the other reviews, I have not had any issues with not being able to see what needs to be done or see the items on the screen- but I have a fairly large monitor. I could see how this would be harder to play on a laptop or tablet. It definitely involves some trial & error in the early play but I found that by the 7th or 8th level I understood where to get resources & what to do- eager to see how much changes as the game goes on. I so wish the "power ups" recharged more quickly, but that's because I love a power-up. The levels (at least so far) have not been difficult to complete in time- I also assume that will change as I get further along in the game. Overall, a nice addition to the TM/resource management genre.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needs a bit more clarity I gave the CE 5 stars but that was before I got too far into the game and only had got to level 10. I still think this is a very good game but the further I got into it the more confusing I found it. Others may find it ok but to give you a few examples. Some of the obstacles in the rds are the same colour as the rd and the more busier it becomes the harder it is to see. Some obstacles are placed behind a building making it difficult to find. The wood in the wood shed is the same colour as the shed again making it difficult to see. The upgrade arrows are very small and makes it hard to see when a building can be upgraded. This is all something that the devs could work on to make it clearer if a sequel was ever to come out., As you get well in to this game everything is packed so tight together it is a difficulty to see everything, well it is for me. Having said all that I still think this is a very good game just needs a bit of a tweaking to make it a bit clearer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from NIce TM. Lots of variety This is a bit of a steal from my CE review. Well this certainly is a 'gather resources' game..there are heaps! I bought the game with a coupon and just as well because I would have used up my whole demo time just figuring out what to do! Its very busy, and the tutorial is quite intrusive at telling you what to do, and not always when you want it popping in. The graphics are very cute, but extremely small until you get used to them. (just look for what's still red really)...the gameplay itself can be quite confusing. By the time I got to level 10 I had it under control, but my brain was boggled. Sometimes a sheep gives you a resource (and I hadn't even clicked on it as I thought it was part of the landscape) and if there are no sheep..ropes seem to provide it? There are traps to set for the guards, but finding how they work takes some skill, you have to distract them, but finding the way entails scouring the very crowded game screen and clicking on just about everything to see what gives in the early stages. You are often called on to go to the 'archery area' to shoot targets or villians, but you get used to finding it and what that looks like too. While the tutorial pointed out many things...it failed to show me the fish in the water in the begining..and I couldn't figure out how to get more food (like getting goods from the sheep). So its a bit hit and miss. This is a game that takes a LOT of getting used to. But I am actually starting to really enjoy it now I finally have it coming under control a bit. The timer is very generous...perhaps it allows for some confusion? There is a relax for full stars. I do like this game...finally! Do try the demo and do give it a chance.. Also listen and do what the tutorial tells you at the start. or it can get confused lol. Enjoy. Show less I recommend this game!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I'M HAVIN' SUCH A GOOD TIME, Oo-de-lally, oo-de-lally, GOLLY WHAT A DAY! What a whimsical and fun little Time Management game this is! I'm a huge Disney fan and Robin Hood: Country Heroes kept reminding me of the Oo-de-lally song, "Robin Hood and Little John Walkin' through the forest, Laughin' back and forth At what the other'n has to say" (bet it gets stuck in your head now too lol) The graphics are just as whimsical and fun as the game itself, and the tasks were unique and theme-related, a welcomed change of pace from the same 'ole pick up loaves of bread, build a sawmill kinda game. There are 45 Levels and you can play in an Easy or Normal difficulty mode. It may have a whimsical story and cutsie graphics, but that doesn't mean it's an easy, breezy game, in fact, other than the first few levels, it gets quite challenging and requires using strategy and TM skill to earn all 3 stars. Each level is crammed full of fun tasks as Robin Hood and Little John recruit new merry men posses to join their cause, stealing from the rich to give to the poor while thwarting the greedy sheriff and his tax-collector minions. There are still the usual TM tasks of clearing paths of debris such as grass weeds, and deadwood, repairing bridges or opening gates, catching fish, picking an apple and/or nut trees and berry bushes, but there are also unusual tasks. You may need to repair village houses, repair woodsmen housing, Sheer sheep for wool to make ropes (you'll need a lot of rope) gather food to feed the village pheasants, and even pour some ale. Robin Hood is the best character because he has wicked archery skizizels! After digging trap holes, Robin shoots an arrow at a bell to trigger a snare to trap the tax collector's, or shoot flaming arrows to light the sheriff's effigy, (bwahaha) or simply "stun" the knights in shining armor, and I thought it was a great TM idea. The Collector's Edition version includes 8 Character Skins (similar to before & after concept art) 4 Music Soundtracks, a Strategy Guide (click the Treasure Chest on the top of the screen) and Bonus Levels (but it doesn't say how many??) I wasn't impressed with the CE worthiness and I waited for what seemed like ages for this Standard Edition version and I'm so happy I waited :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Robin is here...finally After waiting over 2 months for the SE to come out, I'm thrilled with this new game. It's lots of fun, you do have to think about which route to take and which building to build first. This is a big improvement on so many of the corny TMs that have come out in the recent past and I'm hoping this is a sample of good things to come. I've already played the whole game twice and only had it for 3 days, will probably do a 3rd play very soon. Thanks BF, keep this caliber of games coming out
