Gizmos: Jungle Adventures is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yikes! How did I miss this? I check to see what the new game is every day yet somehow I didn't recognize this as one from my most favourite nanogram series. Got my Gizmos mixed up? I dunno but I'm glad I finally noticed it last night and played the demo. Yup, just as much fun as I remember... This is your game, I swear, if you're a serious nanogram puzzle fan. It's not about the colours (there's only one) and the resulting pretty picture -- it's about the puzzle solving itself. There's more challenge involved than the usual computer nanogram game offers but the puzzles are solvable, not frustrating. I'm not a fan of timed games - which this one is - but at least you get to finish the puzzle, are not forced to start over if you exceed the "expert" amount of time (but you do lose one star if that's something important to you). For me, it's an unreasonably short amount of time to finish the puzzles in but I enjoy solving them so much, the lost star doesn't matter. I'm still happily entertained.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sooo great!! Honestly I was beginning to lose hope for another Gizmo game, so I am thrilled to insta-buy and start playing. Gizmo's is the only nonogram series I have found with true logic -based puzzles and that actually reaches a high level of challenge without sacrificing that logic. A true gift for all nonogram fans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy Happy, Happy I am so happy to see a Gizmo game again. It's been so long. I hope this version has some challenge to it like the others in the series. Gizmo games have always been the best. Not so easy that you can get a puzzle done in under 2 minutes on the upper levels. I have done a lot of nonogram puzzles and this series is the best. I don't really care about the storyline, that's not why I play these games. I sure hope you will continue this series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This brought a little tear to my eye. :) When I saw a new Gizmos game appear I could not believe my eyes. I had almost given up hope of ever seeing another in the series. This is so much more fun than the simpler versions of the nonogram puzzle games. Gizmos is hands down my favorite nonogram game. There are lots of levels and hours of enjoyment to be had. They might add more colors for those who like the other popular games of this genre. Thank you. I hope to see more gizmos interstellar adventures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I consider this my first christmas present :-) YES, YES, YES! Finally a real nonogram game, where you actually have to think to solve the grids! In one of the first levels I already had to use my logic and deductive skills to solve it. This game is probably not for the pinquin lovers, it is a game for thinkers and puzzlers. It is mono coloured, which adds to the puzzle value. I played and replayed the previous Gizmos games, time and time again, so for me this is a definite buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gizmo glory my insides did an actual leap for joy and i swear i heard the heavens sing when i saw a new Gizmo on the offerings today. it wasnt an instant buy because i have to always check to make sure somethings going to open when its downloaded but it was my fondest desire that all would play well. i have played and replayed all the ones i have because i so love those 30 by 30 puzzles. yes, its a little smaller but i started wearing reading glasses at the computer a long time ago so its not an issue. oh happy day; the boys are back. i absolutely posatively and empatically recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from There Is So Much To Like About This Game! I remember seeing Gizmos before I became brave enough to enter the world of nonograms, With today's release I looked up the old ones and they each had 5 stars all over the place. So I tried the demo and can totally agree with the ratings. I played to the end which clinched the purchase for me. I especially love that the numbers bordering the grid disappear when the cells have all been filled. In my other mosaics I can guess the image as it slowly emerges. With just the green boxes and no pic, it adds some mystery and extra fun. The helpful tips along the way are dandy and can be disabled if desired. The tutorial is very easy to understand. The voice-over may become annoying in time, but I like the bits of humor and praise that are included. There are trophies to earn...I love trophies! The energy vials are something new to me and I liked the way they worked, just basic easy help when you need it. The mistakes gauge was also unique, to me. There is a time goal but there are no penalties for going over and your completion time is displayed. By the way, the Save Feature is a super blessing for me, as I am very slo-o-ow with nonograms!! The jungle theme got my attention, though I didn't see any full scenes as I finished 7 puzzles in the demo. So don't know what to expect on that subject. The graphics were beautifully sharp and brightly colored. The game ran with no tech issues and responded quickly. I don't like that the grid is surrounded by lots of black space, The options show wide screen/full screen, but was unable to utilize. Still, that annoyance isn't a huge negative. It really is a beautiful and challenging nonogram game and may kick my current favorite right off its pedestal. It is super fun, relaxing and challenging, all wrapped up in one little bundle. My only concern was with the much larger grids. Since my nonogram skills are not expert (working on it), I'm thinking that 30x30 may be too difficult for me. Also, the boxes will surely become smaller as grid size increases, straining my aging vision. But had to get over it and just buy it! I think Gizmos: Jungle Adventures is a quality mosaics game, based on the demo. Hope to find some mini-games or puzzles in the full game, like I saw in the previous Gizmos that I found. There are mosaics that are less intimidating if you are just starting out but, in my opinion, this one is well worth the $$ if you're ready to take that big leap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best nonogram series out there! I own all of the Gizmos games and I've also tried many of the other nonogram or "mosaic" games on Big Fish. This one's the best. The others only have simple puzzles, but this one keeps going up in difficulty to some decent-sized puzzles. This release is similar to the other Gizmos games, but without the story or the jigsaws. The stories weren't great anyway, but they weren't the point of the game, so I'm fine with them being gone. I do miss the more themed games, in this one the solved images are a bit bland so far. But, if it gets me more puzzles, I don't really care. It's the solving that's the interesting part, so if the final object is just a hammer, it doesn't really matter. So in the end I'd say this one may have cut a few bells and whistles, but the core is the same. If cutting that stuff helps them get more games out, then fine by me. :) Great game, worth buying, as is the entire series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Nonogram Yet! This was by far my favorite of all the nonograms and yes even of the Gizmos series. Challenging - I did not once make the time but you can still finish the puzzle... and so many, though I am still so sad to come to the end!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun with One Major Flaw - Game has a life span This is a fun nonogram. The play is basic, but the achievements make it interesting and challenging. You really do have to work to get through all gold levels and earn all achievements. ONE HUGE PROBLEM -- Once you have played all six avatars, the game is done. There is no way to delete or create a new player. You can keep playing the boards over, but you can't undo the previous achievements. I've have looked through the forums, the internet and even wrote to Dr. Felix -- who kindly sent me a coupon, but offered no solution. I uninstalled and reinstalled, but the game retained my player history. But still worth the game credit. Enjoy!
