Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Game This is the best mosaic game I’ve ever played! It has everything I love: tricky nonograms, high quality graphics, relaxing SFX and music, lots of different tiles to select, dark background option, and of course interesting story and characters. I’m really excited and hope it will be a series of games! Storyline. This game plot carries us to the Enchanted Forest where something bad had happened. The Dwarf is reading a scroll written by the fairy who had been imprisoned to the dark crystal as well as her 13 sisters-fairies. The last hope of the forest is the Dwarf who must break the curse and set the fairies free. Every single crystal is charmed, and the only person who can move it is you (i.e. the player). There is an important feature about the plot – you can always watch the dialogues again clicking the button at the top of the level menu for every chapter. It’s very convenient because after playing a great number of nonograms sometimes I forget details of the story. Thank you for this button! Characters. The main characters are Dwarf and Cat. And that Cat is very cool. He’s cute (as all the cats) but he wants to look menacing and calls himself Great and Terrible. He growls, threatens and plays smart (though he is smart indeed) but always helps the Dwarf and the player. The Wicked Wizard doesn’t really look terrifying but his plans are cruel. Nonograms. There are 14 chapters in the game. Every chapter contains 10 levels. So we have 140 nonograms\gridlers to play. In the last levels of chapters we always look for the next crystal where one of the fairies is captured. Every nonogram has the title which we can see after completing the level. So you never ask yourself what is on the picture (in some mosaics games I don’t really get what picture I just opened), everything is clear and easily recognizable. Very first levels are quite simple, but the further we move the more difficult the nonograms become. Some of them are really challenging, and I love it! Tiles & Modes. The player can select one of 12 tiles for colored cells and one of 12 patterns for empty cells. It gives many variations of how the playing area is going to look like. It’s possible to check out all the versions right in the selection menu. I’ve chosen paws and lego but probably will try something else later. There are 3 difficult modes in the game (easy, normal, difficult and intuitive where the player can make an unlimited number of mistakes) and 2 types of hints. They were already described in other reviews. Music & Graphics. The music in the game is calm, nice and relaxing. Sometimes we hear sounds of water, wind or birds. It all creates a special magical atmosphere as if you are really in that Enchanted Forest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LEGENDARY MOSAICS: THE DWARF AND THE TERRIBLE CAT is a real dandy!! Can't find a thing I don't like!! These Devs really think of everything to make a game outstanding and I really appreciate every single feature and hated it when I had to stop to pay for it! ;) I just wanted to keep on going with no interruptions, but I guess paying for it will give me LOTS of hours of fun!! I highly recommend this WONDERFUL game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looking For New Mosaic Fun? Come Right This Way! A refreshing new mosaic game loaded with lots of great features that we can customize and 4 game modes from which to choose. There are 12 tile shapes that can be previewed before using, to see what they actually look like on the grid, and they are of good size, bright and colorful. And being able to select a dark background is always good. There are so many things going on here. The demo was a lot of fun, I really like the storyline, the images are nice and easily recognized. Crystals of different colors are earned, each color representing the number of mistakes made. The crystals are important to progress through the game and to gain access to the 4 bonus levels of each chapter. I am so delighted with this mosaic game, I cannot imagine becoming bored. Everything just wonderfully suits what I need to create interest and fun and the incentive to make no mistakes. Sometimes in other games, I tend to give up trying for the 3 stars and just want to get on to the next puzzle. With this one, I really strive for perfection because I know I will be "rewarded" for my efforts. Other reviews will cover the things I haven't touched on here. So, again, I think this a dynamite mosaic game. I hope to see more wonderful mosaics from Jet Dog Studios. This one, today, was like a rainbow after a dreary storm. I appreciate all the efforts that created this gem. It has brightened up another too-boring isolation day. Please bring us more to smile about...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun Mosaic Game I like mosaics but not simplistic ones. This one has different options for difficulty and the levels get trickier as you play. A buy for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from WELL DONE J-DAWG! What's better than helping the Dwarf find 14 Crystals that have imprisoned 14 Fairies? A Mosaic game with lots of customizable features, AND...no bouncy, gummy-bear looking tiles! Yup, this game has a good fantasy-themed story to bring the Mosaics to life, and a Gem-collection feature that creates an incentive to complete each level without mistakes. Well done JD's you've earned my thumbs-up ;) I can't imagine anyone would be disappointed with the abundance of Tile Selection choices, there are 12 different ones, including my favorite Lego-style! Hold on to your computer chair folks, there's also 12 Crossed-off (X's) designs to choose from and a Dark Background option! (love the JD paw prints) There is an example grid shown below the tile selections which allows you to see what each tile selection or combination you chose will look like in the game...absolutely genius! The choices continue with Difficulty Mode options, you can play in an Easy Mode which automatically chooses the color for you, a Normal Mode which crosses off the numbers one by one, a Difficult Mode that crosses off numbers once an entire row or column has been completed, and an Intuitive Mode which is a Zen mode that doesn't count mistakes and allows you to work out the puzzle by changing selections. You earn Crystals for completing the mosaics, a Blue Crystal for making no mistakes, a Green Crystal for making one mistake, and a Yellow Crystal for making 2 mistakes. At the end of each chapter, you must earn a minimum yellow status to progress to the next chapter, and you must earn a green or blue crystal status to access the 4 Bonus Levels per chapter. To earn a Blue Crystal Status on a Chapter as a whole, you must earn a Blue status on all mosaics within the level. On the Mosaic Grids themselves, there is an Eye that hides the grid, a Color Palette to choose the color bubbles, a Finger or X tab to color or cross-off cells (right & left-clicking works too) and a Heart with the number of Lives or Mistakes available (you can earn more lives by correctly filling in cells) There is a tab to access the tile selections as well which allows you to switch choices easily. There are only 2 Power-ups available, a Sun icon that fills in a single cell, or a Hammer which fills in a 5-cell (outlined) radius. The power-up refill by uncovering hammers and suns on the mosaics. My only suggestion would be to change the instructions to remove the words "guess-guessing" The instructions tell you to try to guess the correct squares or fill in the squares by guessing...from what I can tell so far (beginning of Chapter 2) these are puzzled based upon logic and GUESSING is taboo, a huge no-no when it comes to solving mosaics, guessing is never an option on a logic-based nonogram. Mosaics are solved by narrowing down the playing field and selecting cells you know MUST contain either a color or an X. If they aren't all logic-based then saying "guess" or "guessing" would be appropriate for a Guesser-Griddler, if these truly ARE Logic-based, then there's never a reason to guess and that word(s) definitely needs to be obliterated! I'm going to go ahead and start a Legendary Mosaics Series List because I predict this will be a new, continuing series :) LEGENDARY MOSAICS SERIES LIST Title***Release Date***Average Rating 1-The Dwarf and the Terrible Cat (April 15-2020) n/a 2-??? by: Jet Dog Studios

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Impossible Couldn't quite work out how to play. Info told me to click on question mark in the main menu for more details but I couldn't even find a main menu or how to exit the game ! Looked as though it could be reasonably enjoyable if I could have found the main menu (tried clicking every single option and also ESC)
