Enchanted Kingdom: The Secret of the Golden Lamp Collector's Edition is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did Not Want This Game to End... I am 71 years old. I have 76 Collector Edition H.O.Games. All I can say is, 'I did not desire Enchanted Kingdom: The Secret of the Golden Lamp Collector Edition to end'. Kudos to the awesome Graphic Design Artists and the fine Story Makers. Keep up the great work!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from YOU THINK ALADDIN HAD PROBLEMS? Four powerful Genies hold Elemental Powers of Water, Fire, Nature, and Air, but there is a fifth Genie who draws his powers from the darkness. No one thought it was possible to harness the power of all five elements (except for Queen Elsa, I'll Let It Go...Into The Unknown) perhaps a new element will arise to save the Enchanted Kingdom? Gadgets/Helper: Why does a Genie need a helper? Can't a Genie just snap his/her fingers and get 'er done? I'd also like to add the comment that I flew on a Pegasus to a floating island in the sky and the second I landed my journey was abruptly halted because the bridge was missing? The answer couldn't be more obvious, I needed a Unicorn? Back to the Helper Gadget which is one and the same and obviously only added as a cuteness factor because he is only used 7 times in the Main Chapters only and only to reach items no mortal could reach (???) the rest of the time he sits on a cushy pillow (which I'm assuming I lug around this entire harrowing journey) not stirring or making a single drangonly peep...good Chakka! Collectibles & Morphing Objects (CE Version Only): There are 15 Morphing Genie Vessels and 15 Animal Tracks with pictures and descriptions in the extra's menu. There are 51 Zoom Zone Mushrooms that can be used to purchase 15 Laboratory Items such as pinecones and a sack of flour? I have to cry foul on the mushrooms which seem to be rather magical at times and look nothing like a mushroom, in fact, they look like a blob of black magical fog tucked in the darkest corner of the zoom zone??? Hidden Object Scenes: There are 13 Hidden Object Scenes +6 in the CE Bonus Chapter and an alternate Match 3 Game available, which btw, doesn't allow you to make consecutive matches quickly. (you have to wait for all tiles to stop falling before you can make the next match) I was impressed for the first time in a long time by the beauty, the variety, and the creativity, however, the objects were still very obvious so let's work on that one, shall we? There were Listed Item Finds, Vertical & Horizontal Slider Bar Finds, Spot the Differences, Combo Silhouetted Shape Finds, Matching Pair Finds, Keywords in Sentence Finds, Morphing Object Finds, Replace Items into the Scene Finds, Matching Pair Finds, Recipe Item Finds, Swatches Finds, and one new style where an object was pictured inside a bubble and you had to figure out what interaction was required to complete the item. If the objects were a little less obvious to spot, these would have been some of the best Hidden Object Scenes I've ever seen (BG's Fam Mys has my #1 slot at the moment!) Mini-Games: There are 15 Mini-Games +8 in the CE Bonus Chapter. You can choose to play them in an Easy or Hard difficulty mode and you can choose which mode to have them start out in the Custom Setting (you can still switch between modes for each individual game) Below are a few of my personal favorites: 1-Select up & down arrows and side arrows to swap sections of lock parts on the left & right. 2-Rotate disk rings and drag the gold bar to recreate the pattern of the red marbles shown on the clue. 3-Press arrows to add or subtract pressure in each tube to the correct amounts. 4-Trap Lazarus in a honeycomb grid. Bonus Chapter (CE Version Only) Oops... Let's just put this back where we found it and make a bee-line for the door and if anybody asks, I was in my office the entire day! (whistle, whistle, whistle) Looks like Professor Xavier (no, not the awesome X-men professor) opened up a huge can of genie worms and let the cat out of the bag, only this was a bad#-bleep genie who's been cooped up longer than all pandemic mandates in the history of mankind combined, and trust me, this genie didn't have a computer, games, or the internet to keep him occupied! Things go from bad to really bad when you discover the genie is on the loose, and you are stuck in his past...oh, crap, this can only mean one thing, dun, dun, dun...no internet...arghhhhhh!!!!!! This is an average-length Domini chapter spanning over 6 scene locations with 8 additional Mini-Games and 6 Hidden Object Scenes, but because you aren't playing as the half-breed Genie, poor little Chakka services aren't required. You will continue your search for the final 3 Morphing Genie Vessels, 3 Animal Tracks, and 9 Zoom Zone Mushrooms (of varying amounts) which allows you to purchase the Laboratory Items. I found this chapter rather boring and unimpressive compared to the main chapter. Collector's Edition Extra's: (CE version only) 16 Wallpapers, 10 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 20 Movie Video Cutscenes, 38 Achievements, 15 Replayable Mini-Games, 18 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 15 Morphing Genie Vessels,15 Animal Traces (with descriptions), a gazillion Missing Notes, 51 Mushrooms, 15 Laboratory Items (purchase with Mushrooms) 4 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Please release Enchanted Kingdom: Secret of the Golden Lamp for iPad! OMG, when I got my new Big Fish news letter I was so excited to see this new Enchanted Kingdom game! I love the entire series, plus so many other HOPA games Big Fish offers! I was also at the same time disappointed that it is only available for PC and MAC. I did give this game 5 stars because I feel confident it will be every bit as good as the others! I love everything about Big Fish Games EXCEPT that you are most of the time releasing great new games like this on PC and MAC first or only! I do own a lot of your PC games I’ve bought over the years, but I must now mostly use an iPad because I cannot sit at my PC for long any more due to my physical limitations. So please keep us iPad users in mind when Releasing these new games. I know I would be very grateful! And I am a loyal Big Fish fan!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SO REALISTIC THAT EVEN THE GENIE HAS BLUE FINGERNAIL POLISH This game has it all: Beautiful colors, great graphics, good storyline, imaginative HOS, fun games, and just an all-round great game to play. I can't wait to finish the rest of the game. ENJOY :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Graphics I love this series and have all of them. This one didn't disappoint. Domini, is one of my fav devs and this was a purchase without trial. I will leave the game content to others but I thoroughly enjoyed it and it will be a definite replay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PUT THE GENIE BACK IN THE BOTTLE REVIEW BASED UPON THE ENTIRE GAME 4 Chapters Plus a Bonus Chapter – Strategy Guide: 4 pages (My Time: 5 Hours) Someone let the genie out of the bottle (in this case a lamp)! As the daughter of the genie, Satur, you must save your father and his brothers from an evildoer out to harness their powers. As you venture into different parts of the game, you will meet your uncles, the light genies, who control the elemental forces of nature. You will also need to battle the black sheep of the family, your uncle, the vengeful Sardonik, a dark genie who is behind the kidnapping of your father. As a half-genie, you will get to prove your worth (and maybe earn your very own lamp) in this adventure! This is another fantastic game from my favorite developer. Domini always provides more game for the money and this one is no exception. The story is action-packed with plenty of activities to keep the player engaged. Although not as lengthy as previous games from this developer, it is a quality game with a good pace and well-designed puzzles and HOP scenes. Most of the scenes are decked out in the colors Domini is known for – neon green and vivid purple. I wish this developer would diversify their color scheme a little. For me, there is little too much green and purple. This is a game which should appeal to both adults and children alike. There is a helper dragon named Chakka. He flies around and retrieves inventory items. I hate most “cutesy” helpers in games and this one is no exception. However, this one is only used six (6) times within the game, so he is tolerable. However, I do feel the game would be better without the helper. Nevertheless, the “draggin” dragon may appeal to children who play this game. Collectibles include mushrooms which can be traded in for items to use in a laboratory. Also collect morphing vessels and animal tracks. I found most easy to locate. MECHANICS: • Four (4) levels of play including a customized version. • 38 achievements. • Collect 51 mushrooms to use in exchange for 15 items for a laboratory • Collect 15 morphing vessels, and 15 animal tracks • 16 wallpapers along with 10 concept art renderings • 5 music selections, and 20 video sequences • Helper dragon, Chakka. • Replay 18 HOP scenes and 15 min-games BONUS CHAPTER: It is a story about another misguided genie. When an archaeologist, Xavier, uncovers an hourglass, a genie, Timeikus, is released. This powerful genie of time was put in the hourglass to stop his reign of terror. Wanting to reclaim his power, he is off to search for his lamp and break it. He sends both of you back in time where you will remain unless you can stop him. I found this a nice addition to the main game. It is a long chapter with a good pace and plenty of activities. There are eight (8) mini-games and five (5) HOP scenes. The HOP scenes are exceptionally well-done. There are eighteen (18) HOP scenes and all can be replayed at the end of the game. What I love about Domini’s HOP scenes is the rich variety of styles. This developer seldom repeats the same style of HOP scene. They include the usual lists of items and silhouette. Others include matching, search-and-replace, spot-the-differences, searching for twelve each of the same item, morphing objects, pattern scenes, and sliders. My favorite are the scenes with sliders in which the player must match up an item with its silhouette using sliders to unite them before removal. The scenes are creatively designed. There is also a Match-3 game which can be played in lieu of the scenes. There are twenty-three (23) mini-games. Fifteen (15) of these can be replayed at the end of the game. Many of them can be played in either an “easy” or “hard” mode. Listed below are some of the mini-games from the game: SPOILERS: HERE IS A LIST OF SOME OF THE MINI-GAMES AFTER THE DEMO: (E=Easy, H=Hard) A. Maze puzzle. Plot a course through a maze by choosing between paths and turning on levers to open new paths. B. Logic puzzle. Figure out the correct sequence in which to arrange symbols on a bridge according to given instructions. C. E/H Matching puzzle. Move a magic lamp to locate hidden symbols then match them up. Hard version has more symbols D. E/H Bar removal puzzle. Remove 4 horizontal bars from a grid by moving the vertical ones so that an opening within them centers on the bar to create an opening for removal of it. In the hard version, moving one vertical bar affects the others. E. E/H Block puzzle. Move items which block the way of a cart to move over a bridge. Harder version requires more complex moves in moving objects to create a path. F. Escape puzzle. Move upon a honeycomb grid to corral the evildoer so he cannot escape. BONUS CHAPTER: G. Measurement puzzle. Use a 9-gram and a 4-gram flask to fill up a 3-gram and a 6- gram flask moving liquid back and forth between the flasks . H. Switch puzzle. Switch dolls so that all are holding hands I. Switch puzzle. Switch stars, each with a different number of points, so that all are situated as per a given diagram J. Maze puzzle. Create a path for a token to reach a lamp at the top of a grid using three path segments to create the path

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top of the Line. This game is superb in it's music and graphics with reasonable puzzles to solve. It has 3 types of easter eggs to find. It has a navigable map with indicators of the easter eggs to find. After finishing the main game you can replay all the puzzles and hidden objects in the extra section along with the usual offerings. You will enjoy this game with it's excellent customizations.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good game but a couple of glitches I liked the game. Good story line, a decent level of challenge, very good graphics. But what I have a bit of a problem with is the movement of the cursor When I select anything, the delay action time on the screen is 2-3 seconds. Configuring the settings using the slider bars was painful. And I have a new computer. I just found it a bit annoying.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Another short, easy game. Where's the challenge? I can't emphasis enough now much I dislike short games. This one took me roughly 4 hours, which included the bonus chapter. With that said, the storyline was interesting enough. Still not sure why the Forest Genie had legs instead of vapor like the rest. Also, why do you have to look for matches to light a torch when there is a perfectly good fire going in the a fireplace! Also, how many times do you have to have "something sharp" or "something thin", just to use it once and have to find another one? Don't any of these characters have pockets! Sigh. The puzzles were all fairly easy. The HOPs were good and had lots of variations. I'm not sure how I feel about the dragon helper. On one hand, he didn't talk and just flew up to get things for you. On the other hand, he didn't talk and just flew up to get things for you. I like helpers for the most part, but this one just seemed to be thrown in because they couldn't think of anything else to do. The graphics were pretty and the voice overs were good. The collectibles were mostly easy to find (especially the foot prints), but I did manage to miss one mushroom, which meant I couldn't see what the last game was. I was disappointed that they didn't let you click on the genie bottles to tell you what each of them represented and what kind of genie went in them. Seemed like a wasted opportunity. Okay, so overall this isn't a bad game, but it wasn't a great game. In my opinion, the bonus level was not good enough to merit spending money on a CE. I'm going to recommend this one because it's a nice game for beginners or kids. Nothing too scary or difficult. Anyone more advanced than that should at least wait for the regular edition to come out. As always, please try the demo.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from THE SECRET OF THE GOLDEN LAMP WAS TOO EASY FOR ME In this latest game in the Enchanted Kingdom series you play the game as the daughter of Satur, a Forest Keeper with a big secret. As the game begins your dad is kidnapped by the wicked genie Sardonik and now you are off on a dangerous journey to save him. One of the best things about this game is that we have a new and refreshing storyline, but along with the good comes the bad in that there is far too much hand-holding to make this game enjoyable for some of the more seasoned HOPA gamers. The game could easily be played by younger members of the family with little help from mom and/or dad. The game has a lot to offer if you want an easy-peasy and relaxing way to spend a few hours of your time. The graphics are beautiful and although the developer uses a bright color palette, at least some of the colors are not as neon and artificial as they once were. It generally takes me a long time to play a game as I love to gawk at the scenery and every little detail, and this game has a lot to offer if good graphics are all that you want. Somehow even the beautiful graphics were not enough to hold my attention. The HOPS are well crafted with some being better than others. I found that I enjoyed most of the HOS far more than I did the puzzles. Of course, there were still far more puzzles than HOS. Most of the puzzles were easy and I only skipped the maze puzzle because I couldn’t figure out what I needed to do. Generally, I enjoy most games from this developer who creates some of my favorite games. Unfortunately, The Secret of the Golden Lamp is a bit too easy and I found myself able to play the game on auto-pilot. In the end, although I did purchase the game it will probably live somewhere on my computer gathering dust. As always, I recommend that you try the demo because The Secret of the Golden Lamp might be the perfect game for you. Happy gaming!
