Rated 4 out of 5 by from EXTREMELY COLORFUL & REALLY FUN TO PLAY I'm actually a big fan of this Match 3 series, the icons are bright and colorful and fairly large so they should be easy for most to see comfortably. I started the demo playing in the Medium Difficulty and was easily earning all 3 Stars with time remaining but I wanted to get as much out of the demo as possible so I didn't switch to the Hard Mode. After the demo ended it occurred to me that there was NO option to replay the levels! I wished I had thought about this before the demo time ended because if switch to the Hard Mode after purchasing, I'd assume that earning all 3 stars will be unlikely on the first attempt as I progress further. In all fairness, the game may offer this option when you don't earn all 3 stars but now I'm super reluctant to buy this game because the Medium Mode will get boring if the challenge doesn't increase but my OCD will go bonkers if I don't get the opportunity to replay levels on the Hard mode if I don't earn all 3 stars....aahhhrrr! You can play in a Relaxed, Medium, or Hard Mode of Difficulty but none of the options that actually matter are explained, just the annoying ones like where to type in your name lol! I'm assuming the Relaxed is an untimed option, and the Hard Mode gives you less time than the Medium Mode? There are 3 Cursors Options, and 35 Achievements to earn. After each Match 3 Levels, you open a Water Lily that awards you various prizes of Gold or Gemstones, followed by fairly decent Mini-games, such as Tri-peaks Solitaire, Nonograms, and a really fun Mahjong where you have to remove tiles that appear on a moving conveyor before it reaches the end. The Level Goals vary with different kinds of Resources (Icons) to collect, and matches must be made on all Violet-colored tile cells, which eventually include Blue cells which require a match to turn violet and a third to turn gold. Removing the Gold Coin Icons will give you an extra point per coin as well. Eventually, Power-up Boosters become available, such as a Scythe to remove a single tile, or the Goddess Bastet to remove an entire row which sends an adorable cat to run across the row knocking off obstacles...loved it! These powerups will recharge after each use by matching the Icons that match the powerup, after using a powerup, the icon for that powerup will be added to the board & switch back once recharged, which I thought was a cool feature. You can also purchase boosters in the Shop eventually. Large Matches will earn Elemental Bombs on the board: *Water Element: (Blue) Match 4-clears 5-tile radius. *Earth Element: (Green) Match 5-clears 9-tile radius. *Fire Element (Orange) Match 6-clears 25-field tile radius. *Air Element??? I'm sure they have a 4th element but I don't think I earned this one during the demo. There are various Obstacles such as Earth/Sand Tiles that require adjacent matches to "dig" as well as Single & Double Ribbon Tiles which require you to include the ribbon encased tile in a Match (either once or twice depending on how many ribbons are involved) Obstacles don't necessarily need to be destroyed if they aren't blocking you from achieving your goals, however, oftentimes they are preventing tiles from cascading into the areas below them. When you have earned enough Coins, Gems, Resources, and specific Achievements, you can purchase various Garden items to restore the oasis. Each Garden Item can be upgraded twice, the items will show the status with 1-3 stars when you hover the cursor over the item. Do you miss the BF forums? Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Fun Sequel From Magnussoft My demo was cut to 40 minutes for some unknown reason so my review won't be very informative, I'm afraid. I enjoyed it but every minute of a demo is very important to a review. I liked Pharaoh's Garden a lot and I like Magnussoft. Their quality is usually way up there! So hopefully this new M3 is great as well. There's plenty to keep you busy here, lots of tutorial to help. No need for all the reading if you've played the previous Pharaoh's Garden. It can be turned off, turn it back on during play if required. The Egyptian music is pleasant, not distracting. There's a little story to follow that you can click through to hasten things along. Graphics are extremely sharp and the tiles are super colorful, with nice artwork that depicts the Egyptian theme. I was able to clear the board easily because the tiles fell away quickly without clunky movement or stalling. Large matches give you bonuses and power-ups, and must be recharged after each use. There are plenty of obstacles which add an extra challenge that I really enjoy in Match 3 games. The game starts out easy but becomes increasingly difficult, limiting the number of available matches. The board layouts and obstacles keep the boredom away and some strategy is helpful as the game progresses which I especially like. I would imagine the mini games are the same as before. It was a fun little variety. In today's game I only got to clean the crocodile and play a nanogram. I did not like the griddler as it was very blah without colors, lots of single cells that always bug me. So I skipped it after a feeble attempt and was still rewarded as being a success. Restoration of the oasis is slow because multiple items are required in addition to the resources, to buy upgrades. And they are pricey, but that helps to prolong the length of the game. Not so much fun if everything is easy-peasy and handed to you on a silver platter. The purchasing was a little confusing at one point, as I earned enough for tree upgrades but was unable to apply. Don't know what's going on with that. Maybe I missed a step in the process? This is a fun Match 3 game, fine quality in mechanics, graphics, variety. I don't think it will be a short little game when you consider the mini games, restoration and challenge that are included. The 3 play modes make it fun for any skill level. I like switching around as I progress, just to keep it more interesting but I usually stick with Medium most of the time. We don't get good Match 3 games very often so I was happy to pick this up today.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I love it yet hate it . This may sound a strange title but let me explain. I had to buy this as my demo ran out and I just wanted more, when that happens I just have to buy a game even when it does have in my opinion a major flaw. I only play relaxed and for me relaxed means relaxed. Yes you do have no timer in relaxed yet it still deducts stars and I am still trying to work out exactly what it deducts stars for? There seems to be no logic to it as sometimes I complete a level really fast yet still only 2 stars. The help does not explain all this and there is so much going on you do need a good help guide. I think you need to get a certain amount of each item to get all stars but I am not certain of that. The biggest hate for me is even if you only get one star, that is it , you can NOT replay a level. This is just very bad which is why I am only giving 3 stars, If you could replay a level and the fact that relaxed is not really relaxed I would have given more stars but for me, even though I want to continue playing this I can't reccomend or not if that makes any sense ? Try the demo bearing in mind that the first few levels are fairly easy and it does not start getting real challenging till after the demo. I do hope the Developers take note of this and that we do want to replay a level if we want to get more stars. I can't state if the same applies to medium or hard levels but I would imagine so. For me this is a major flaw even though I like it.
