Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've always liked this type of game It's true that this is not a match 3 game. I've run across this type of game a few times in the past and have always enjoyed them, so I was happy to see a version of it on BF. The story line isn't really terrific, but it's a way to introduce the type of "tiles" you will encounter. One thing I really like about this version is that there are several types of tiles offered. This isn't a game I would play for hours at a time, but it's the perfect game to play for a while between HOs and TMs. Last night I played a wonderful TM game for several hours without stopping, so this game would be a welcome change before I dive back into another TM game. A few days ago I had 15 minutes to kill before heading out to an appointment so this game would have been a perfect time filler for me if I'd had it in my Game Manager. I know most of the reviews are downers, but I would encourage people to give it a try before passing it by based on low star ratings.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cleverer than you think I will be the first to admit that this game does have flaws and at first I was getting 1 / 2 stars on all levels but then I bought the game and decided to have a think about how I can get the 3 stars and I am now getting 3 stars on every level .This is on the relaxed mode and not the timed. I mostly play relaxed anyway so no big deal for me. With this game you have to look beyond the nearest options. If you have 2 identical items near each other ignore this and look for another identical item further away. Always go for the furthest route and now I have 3 stars on the first 30 levels. The instructions are not very precise but I worked it out and it is quite a clever game. There is room for improvement and this should be in the puzzle section and not Match 3 as it is not a match 3 game It does get harder and much more of a challenge yet it is the same principal and I am wondering if something else can be added to make it less samey. Having a feature that you need to connect all same tiles etc. Just an idea. What I do know is that this developer listens and really cares what people think. His jigsaw games are some of the best out there because he listened to earlier reviews on his first Jigsaw and made great improvements so give this game a chance. Try following what I suggested and you should be able to get 3 stars , at least on relaxed mode that is.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Out of my comfort zone... This developer is best known for his GORGEOUS jigsaws; but here, we're treated to a fairly original "match-2" game. The story offers a nice distraction between the 100 levels, the "catch the mouse" feature reminds me a bit of the "Delicious" series; the mechanics are pretty simple but work as they should. It's a variant of mahjong but in this case, the tiles need to be connected with no more than 2 corners; also, tiles don't have to be free. Design-wise, I would have preferred the option to play "timed" if I wanted to from the very beginning; the tutorial covers all the bases. I did deduct one star because some levels contains tiles that are not that easy, for me, to distinguish. The pictures used are well thought out to go with the storyline. A few "obstacles" appear along the way, but it's the time of game that should be played in small doses (which is how I play... a few games on the go to enjoy variety). I hope this untypical "connect-match" will appeal to many as the difficulty progression takes a few levels; the success to earning 3 stars is to try and make the longest matches possible as opposed to making as many matches as are possible early in the game. It's a different type of strategy, and I know some people don't like innovation and will "pan" this game. Try it and play at least 4 or 5 levels before forming an opinion; getting 3 stars is not a walk-in-the park! AND it gets harder after the 1st hour of play...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This Is Not A Match 3 Game It is more like Mahjong but with a little twist. The objective is to connect 2 tiles in direct line with one another or at an angle. Earn more points for longer connections. the corners are great for this. I've played this kind of game before. It requires some strategy but quickly becomes boring. You can't go around multiple corners. It's a fairly easy game but the corners are tricky, it's a bit frustrating til you catch on. Some challenge is introduced with the addition of brick walls in some of the levels. They cannot be removed, so working around them makes the connections a little more difficult. An irritating little mouse pops up in each level, one per level. Clicking on it earns you a bonus but you have to be awfully quick. The goal is to achieve 3 stars but I was surprisingly a failure. Regardless of speed or no mistakes I earned 3 stars only twice within 28 levels. So I don't know what it takes to succeed! The game starts with Relaxed Mode only. The Timed Mode isn't available until after 54 minutes of play. I find that rather odd. The levels are locked. There are 100 levels. I don't know if they become more challenging as the game progresses. I completed 28 in the demo quite easily. I do know that there will be more brick walls and more tiles as you continue. There is a Hint and Reshuffle Button, a good Tutorial, no special options or fancy features. Not much is needed, really, for this type of Match 2 game, in my opinion. The tiles have images of items you would find in a country store. They are small, some are hard to discern differences, but they are cute and most are colorful. However, I think too little for some players to see without difficulty. The game is fun for a while, but there's not enough to keep it from becoming tedious. Not interesting and I found myself tired of it within the first 15 minutes even though I finished the demo. Was hoping for it to "liven up", but it didn't.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Repetitive Dull, boring and repetitive, doesn't seem to have much substance and doesn't require any thought.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a Match 3 game If you happen to be a YOUNG grade-schooler, perhaps 2nd or 3rd grade it might be fun. It IS a match game in that you have to click on two matching items to remove them from the board. Slow and cumbersome at best. In addition, it has no window mode which would make it a NO for me. But even then I don't recommend it for any but the youngest and least able players.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Maybe for kids Basic, simple graphics that are not too appealing to look at while playing this type of game. For me, the tiles were too small and the background was distracting. This is clearly an android game posing as a PC game. It's definitely not worth the money BF is asking for it.
