I Love Finding Critters Collector's Edition is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love these games. I discovered I Love More Cats first. Then I purchased I Love Cats, I then purchased I Love Finding Critters. The graphics are very good, regular game play is excellent. My only complaint is the puzzles. A variety including different types of puzzles would allow me to give the games a 5 rating. Thankfully, there is a skip button, which I make use of, however, it would be nice to have different kinds of puzzles or games between rounds.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This and Finding Cats are awesome! Unlike the Cats and Dogs, you find a variety of animals which makes this one more fun... except I love cats so it's a tie, lol. My only gripe was there was an entire set of 3 all about snakes. Yikes!! Tip: Hover your mouse pointer on the 0/16 critters found to know which type of critters you need to look for on each HOG level. In this CE, you get the SE pack of 16, 16, 16, each of HOG, Difference game and puzzles (jigsaw type, flip to match pair and clutter styled, etc). You also get the CE pack of 6, 6, 6 of HOG, Difference game and puzzles. There is also a Butterfly Album with 24 jigsaw type puzzles. I don't know if this is included in the SE. If it's not, then this might be worth paying double.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I WASN'T AS IMPRESSED WITH THIS EDITION because... I did indeed LOVE Finding Cats & Pups, and this is still a great HOG but when compared to others in this series I was a tad disappointed. I was mostly disappointed because Finding all Critters was rather deceiving. It was never explained that each level was critter specific so in the first level, I was clicking on anything I considered to be a critter, such as Deer, Ducks, Hawks, Lizards, etc. When none of those critters were accepted, I realized that I could only click on the Squirrels, the next level was Hedgehogs, followed by Hamsters, etc. If you're going to have a 1-critter at a time feature, at least explain which critter will be available on each level for those of us who are trying to earn gold on each level and don't want to have to guess or randomly click away. I was also disappointed in the fact that there were multiple items in each level matching the listed description, yet only 1 was accepted as the correct object, for example, there is a set of 3 Hourglasses sitting on the table (Santa Monica) but it was not THE Hourglass they were referring to. I also had difficulty seeing some of the puzzles, such as the Squirrel Circle Rotation puzzle which took me quite some time to even notice that the center of one of the circles, wasn't rotated correctly because it was entirely black and tucked away in the hole. There are 18 Main HO locations: North Carolina, Santa Monica, Tunis, Palermo, Kalispell, Denpasar, Dodge City, Connecticut, Bordeaux. Zaanstad, Lisbon, Vientiane, Malmo, Tioman, Nebraska, Muir Woods, Moab, and Bloomington. The locations are real, and you get to read Trivia about each location before starting. There are no Timers or Misclick penalties, however, you will need to make consecutive, back-to-back selections to fill the Combo-meter if you want to earn a Gold Star on each level (you'll earn a Bronze, Silver, or Gold Star depending on how many combo points you earn) I usually take my time and find all critters and butterflies then I casually find the Listed Items. I can then replay the level and just worry about finding the items back-to-back for combo points (& a Gold Star) because I don't have to worry about finding the critters. The critters and butterflies can still be clicked on, but the level will show that the critters and butterflies have already been found! The graphics are amazing, even when using the Magnifying Glass feature which allows you to zoom in to the scenes (including the secondary zoom zone area) by double-clicking, right-clicking, or scrolling. You can even click on the magnifying glass and THEN scroll to zoom in even closer...and the graphics still remain crystal clear! There are 3 different HO Scenes per location, and after each HO scene, you will play a very challenging Spot The Difference Scene, followed by a Mini-Game, such as Disk Rotation, Square Rotation, Swapping Tiles, or Cycling through pieces until you figure out which of the images will complete the picture. Each scene has 16 Critters to find, some of which are located in the Zoom Zone, and 3 Critters are located in the Spot the Difference scenes as well. You will earn Adoption Points for finding all the Critters and you can use the points to adopt 20 adorable Critters. Each scene also has 3 beautiful Morphing Butterflies which can be quite challenging to spot in some scenes! Collecting the Butterflies releases them in the Photo Album. One Butterfly is equal to 3 Puzzle Pieces that allow you to assemble 24 Butterfly Puzzles which can be downloaded as Wallpapers. I still suggest that Tiny Little Lion considers adding a Strategy Guide to their CE versions that shows the location of all Critters & Butterflies, that way they can get as challenging as they want with their placement and still have a cheat sheet if the player decides to give up the search! A game I recently played added a new Hint feature for locating the available Morphing Object, so perhaps they could add a Critter Hint button that would locate 1 critter, that way the player could use the hint for 1 critter or all 16 if desired? This Collector's Edition version has 18 HO Locations (with 3 different scenes per location) 6 Extra Bonus Chapters, 12 extra Mini-Games, 27 Wallpapers, 17 Music Soundtracks, 12 Developer's Critter Bios & Pics, 20 Adoptable Critters +5 CE Bonus Critters, and 24 Butterfly Puzzles (in Butterfly Album) ?^•?•^? Rated 3 out of 5 by from HARDER THAN IT NEEDS TO BE I have all these "I love finding" games and do enjoy them but this one not so much. Have noticed games in a series get progressively harder. Granted we like a challenge but not to the point that the game is no fun. I like the idea of finding different "critters" but a lot of the scenes are a garish crowded mess and it takes forever to find the objects which loses you time with the result you get less points to buy the critters. Some of these puzzles are a bear (excuse the pun) with the result you have to use a lot of hints which also loses points. Not particularly sorry I bought it but not enjoying it that much. Will recommend it with reservations.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Point and click adventure Kids would love this game, just like the finding cats and dog game. However, it would be nice for them to know what critter they are looking for. Changes to birds without telling they are the Critter to find.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A little boring I tried this game and found it to be a bit boring since I already have the cats and pups ones. It's an okay relaxing game. A few people mentioned they didn't know what critter they were looking for, but the tutorial at the beginning, tells you how. You just put your mouse cursor over the tab on the left that tells you how many to find and a pop up tells you what critter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Talk About Beating A Dead Horse! Oh my goodness, I'm sorry, but this is just inexcusably bad. We've done cats (ok for something a bit different), done pups (I guess for all the dog lovers to equal things out), then MORE cats (and really got old quick) and now we are going to do "critters"? Really, Boomzap, do you think we are a collection of Elly Mae Clampetts out here that want to spend time looking for "critters"? The whole concept is sort of an insult to the intelligence. And the devs have used the same template as the other games, so we get the same boring gameplay, the same boring mini games, and the same boring "extras". (Yes, they have the nerve to present this as a CE - unbelievable!) One of the extras is a look at a collection of rather gross creatures the developers have given a name to and claim they belong to them. Seriously? (I personally doubt it.) This game is hopefully the last of the animals/creatures we are going to be offered because this idea is really worn out. But everyone should try the game for themselves since it might be just the type of game some are looking for. Personally, I could not uninstall it fast enough.
