Tower of Wishes 2: Vikings Collector's Edition is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from fun game there is nothing new about this game, but I like that there were no changes. Normally people complain about no changes and that when the developer makes changes we complain about the changes. I finished the whole game and had lots of hours of fun. A bit challenging to get all stars, still glad that it was not too easy and had too think and be tactful. I hope they make more as there are hardly any good time management games now If you like this type of game you will enjoy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can reveal the extras Hopefully I can answer a few questions here. I am really loving this challenge and I am now on level 31 and all is revealed. Once you have played the magic level 30 you get 66 extra Match 3 levels 9 extra sliding levels 9 extra pipe levels These are all available any time you want you can select any level you want in the extras. So if you wanted to play level 66 you can do, you do not have to start at 0 and work up. The only down on this is it does not mark off what you have played. As regards the 3 stars I only play on relaxed and still only 2 stars which kind of defeats the term relaxed but I did try a couple of levels without using any bonuses and got 3 stars so maybe that is what you need to do? I am not 100% certain on this. Overall this is such a challenging game and I am really enjoying it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Feel A Longer Demo Would Have Been Very Helpful Such a lot to learn, it felt so complicated to me. I didn't have much time left in the demo for playing, completed only 4 levels. Challenge and strategy are definitely the main attractions here. Reaching the top of the tower is a goal I want to accomplish but for me it will be a slow climb! Had to buy it, hope it was the right decision. Rarely do I find challenge this good in a Match 3 game. It really got my brain fired up and eager to engage in the trek to the top. It's taking a while to catch on and just when I think I've got it, I am greeted by another "dilemma". It's so much fun! One of my main frustrations is that last remaining tile, just can't see it. The game is just crazy busy and challenging, and interesting. No fear of boredom edging in. The boards and tiles are a good size but the colors are a little dark. Movement feels a bit sticky or delayed. I enjoy playing double boards. So far I am earning only 2 stars in each level, hope to change that but I've won a couple of achievements. I would never have reached a smidgen of accomplishment in Timed Mode, which is my favorite. I tried Limited Moves, too, and ended up in Endless but it feels like I'm cheating. Strategy skills are certainly a must, in my opinion, and a good dose of perseverance goes a long way. I didn't get to any of the mini games yet, hopefully they are something other than the usual simple mahjong and solitaire. With all the darts, arrows, rocks, fog, fire, Star Essences, treasure chests etc, I can't imagine this game ever becoming boring but it may wear you out. Great replay value. Each time I fail a level, I am returned to the Main Menu which I don't care for. Don't know if I am doing something wrong or if that's just how it's supposed to be. In any case, I love the game and highly recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from FINALLY! They made the background to clear EASILY FOUND! I'm really enjoying this game play and feel the CE is worth the extra. I didn't care for these when I first tried them, but once I got the hang of the obstacles, my enjoyment was much better.. My main objection to the previous versions of this game was that the background tiles you need to clear are all in a PURPLE that looked VERY SIMILAR to the color the tiles were AFTER you cleared the tile! Made it very frustrating to find the last few, even though they did try to highlight those. But THIS BROWN background is very easy to see. But, I was very surprised no one else mentioned this, so perhaps it was just MY monitor that made the purple color in earlier versions hard to find.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from WHY IS THE CE CONTENT A SECRET? I'm really loving this series because it has everything I want in a Match 3 game. There are three difficulty mode options (Timeless, Limited Time, or Limited Moves) and it allows you to switch between them without having to start over! It has interesting features like shooting arrows around 90° angles, level layouts that have nooks & crannies versus a simplistic square board, challenging obstacles, and levels that can be replayed to increase your Star rating. I also think it's really cool that your goal is to climb the Tower of Wishes, level by level! This is a challenging game but it never feels frustrating. Each level is chockfull of various obstacles and goals, such as making a specified amount of matches to unlock Gem Counters. Achilles Heel with only one weak point, or spreading fire to melt frozen tiles. You are required to make matches over all Green Cells and collect Star Essence Gems, many of which are hidden under mud-covered tiles or behind Fog, or Chained tiles. My favorite obstacle in this series is the arrow shooters that are activated when you make an adjacent match, and usually involve a chain reaction of events where the first arrow hits the second arrow activator and so forth, until the arrows have traveled around the perimeter's edge until it hits the designated target, whatever that may be. Large Matches reward you with Power-ups on the board that can be swapped to an adjacent cell, or double-clicked to detonate. A match 4 gives you Dynamite, Match 5 or a Match T or L shape rewards you with a large Bomb that has a huge explosion radius. You can also use the Bonus Power-ups at your discretion, but they will need to recharge after each use. The Hammer removes a single tile, the Shuffle bonus reshuffles all of the tiles on the board, and the Hint icon points to a viable move I get that BF is running out of options since all of their HOPA developers are either from Russia or Ukraine, so they are making deals with casual game developers to make CE versions. I'm okay with a Match 3 Collector's Edition but I'm not okay with spending twice as much money for mystery content! All of the CE features shown don't allow you access to the content until you've finished 30 main levels! There's no way you can finish 30 levels in the demo so they are asking you to take a leap of faith and trust that the CE version is worth the extra money! The synopsis says "66 extra levels of puzzle fun!" does that mean there are 66 bonus Match 3 levels or does the "66 extra levels of puzzle fun" include the featured Pipe Connection puzzles & the Slider Puzzles? The synopsis also says "Even more bonus mini-games!" does this refer to the Solitaire games, Hidden Object Scenes, and Spot the Differences mini-games you play after a few Match 3 levels, or are they referring to the CE Pipe Connection & Slider Puzzles features? This CE version has 14 Achievements and Wallpapers as well, how many wallpapers do we get? What do they look like? Why is the CE content so mysterious and secretive? Wouldn't more people be leery and less apt to purchase a CE with unknown bonus content than those unwilling to purchase the CE because they weren't impressed with the CE content? After reading that last paragraph you're probably just as confused as I am, but taking a hike to my new forum is never confusing! Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a challenging Match3 I think pennmom's review is very thorough so I won't go into really deep details of what the game offers. I agree fully with her comments on the locked bonus material. However, I do want to add the following. I wish that they had somehow cleared up the fire on the runes once you're done setting iced-over runes on fire. It's very hard to see behind the fire, like when you want to see if a rune is on a tile that hasn't been cleared yet. I think there's a competitor M3 game that clears any fire once its done and I wish this dev would copy that feature. I also wonder what you have to do to get three stars on a level. I'm on the fence with this one. I love the obstacles and puzzle-like nature of the M3 levels, but I hate the idea of not knowing what the bonus material actually is like. I really, really hate slider puzzles and wish that so many of these M3 games didn't offer them. I am also not fond of their solitaire minigames. I can't risk there being a lot of slider puzzles in the bonus material, but since I can't check, I guess that means I'm not getting the CE. So weirdly, I'm giving this 4 stars because the M3 part is excellent, but I can't recommend it unless someone loves all this game has to offer and doesn't care about not being able to see the locked material.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not As Enjoyable As Its Predecessors I've played both of the predecessor tower games and thoroughly enjoyed them. So when ToW2 came out, I bought it without even trying the trial version. The good news is that there are several new challenges. The bad news is that they've put too many of them in each level. While they're challenging, it gets to be a headache trying to solve them all. If you're looking for a challenging, but laid back game (like the earlier ones), this is not the game for you. Beyond that, the story line is ridiculous and could have been left off.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Clumsy I really wanted to like this game, but based on the trial I don't think I will get the CE. I haven't played the first game, but as this is a sequel I am surprised at the clumsy feel to it. It is poorly executed, in my opinion. I like the level of challenge with the tiles that spread chains, and the Ice tiles that you need to lead fire to, but the fact that the fire doesn't disappear after all the Ice tiles are melted is annoying. This is a feature I first saw in the Laruaville-series and they do it much better. . The whole game just feels a bit clunky and lacking in finesse. . The hints are breathless - you haven't got much time to read and process the first hint before the next one pops up. Playing the game in Timeless mode the first few levels may be easier to get the feel of the game. I hope the developer polishes their next game a bit better, as I really like their ideas.
