Pretty Snails 2 is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very addictive little game. I thought it would be so easy but after about 20 levels this game gets some teeth. Don't waste your coins because you will need them later to buy power ups or you won't pass a level. I got so addicted I went back and bought the original Pretty Snails game. Very fun and original idea for a match 3 game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great learning tool for children ! These little snails are trying to catch up to one of their own who is stowing away in a suitcase. Its your job to follow and find him by completing Match 3 puzzles. You have to complete each M3 within limited moves they give you. You will receive power-ups and points as you progress through the levels. This could be a really fun puzzle for youngsters...its bright and cheerful and is not really that hard to complete. I'm giving this M3 five stars with the assumption that a child is playing. Most adults will find this game very easy...but keep in mind there are kids who will love it with the help from an adult !!! Lots of fun to be had by the right age group !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I loved the first one and I am in love again! Sometimes you just want to have fun and the Pretty Snails does that for me. Yes it gets difficult but you can always go back and work on the lower levels.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's only *half* a new game :( [review based on completed game] Pros: super cute graphics, good challenge level Cons: limited moves only, can't make moves all the time, second half of game is cloned from previous games I have nearly all of this developer's games and enjoy that they're all extremely cute and challenging. Pretty Snails 2 is no different in that regard. The first 20 levels were toned way down in difficulty here, but the learning curve picks up rapidly with level 21. There are 150 levels to play and a decent storyline to follow. The HOs aren't really hidden in this game since they are typically huge and obvious. Still not a lot of instructions on how to play or giveaways on the game's secrets [you still have to figure out the tricks of combining powerups on your own]. An improvement from the first game is that you can create player profiles now so can replay without doing a file folder workaround. Still no relaxed mode which I wouldn't use anyway, but can see that being a deal breaker for some as the game gets really hard. I enjoyed the first Pretty Snails so much that I bought PS2 with 28 minutes left on the demo. Sadly I discovered that by around level 80 all the levels were copies of ones that appeared in previous games. Not only that, many of the levels were taken from the first Pretty Snails, and one level even appears twice within 10 or so levels! I'm tired of clones of games from this dev and am glad I didn't pay full price for half a game this time around. Worth it if you like hard M3s and don't have anything else by this dev, otherwise pass on it. With them copying more and more in every game, I'm probably going to pass on anything "new" from them from now on.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from GOOD, BUT NOT FOR ME Not being a lover of limited move games, this one is not for me. If you like that style you'll probably enjoy this one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Your pal has been packed in a suitcase! Can you get him back? On the cute scale of 1-10, it's a 10. There is a plethora of cutsie snails all over the place, but, one of them has taken an unexpected trip! It seems he's been accidentally packed into a suitcase, and the rest of the snails must get him back! This is a limited-move match three that requires you to clear a playing field of moss and other obstacles in a limited number of moves. You are also required to achieve a certain number of points to clear most levels. In playing most of the trial period, the number of moves seems generous and I cleared all levels with moves left over, and you get bonus points for that. I came across two power-ups. One is a +5 moves bonus you can use to add 5 more moves if you're close to a finish and need a few more moves to clear the field. The other is a trowel that allows you clear one obstacle from the field, like a stone. Certain matches will give you a "super shell" to help clear a row when matched with two more of the same color or you get, with a larger match, a package of dynamite that clears a column and, sometimes, a row, as well, depending on where it's played. The explosions are fun, the colors are bright, the characters are lively, and the storyline is cute. If you are into a really cute match 3 with limited moves, this would be the match for you!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from IS THERE A DIFFERENCE FROM THE LAST ONE? All Match 3 games by this dev have the same unusual feature, and I really didn't notice any big changes from the original Pretty Snails. Every time you make a match, sections of the board do a shuffle as they move into different positions, usually ruining what could have been an epic setup! On the negative end, you cannot make a move quickly or back to back until all tiles have repositioned or explosions finish doing their thing. Most of the level goals require you to make matches over the Moss filled tiles within a specific number of moves, but some levels require you to make a specified amounts of specific Shell matches, or earn a specified amount of points. Large matches or T & L shaped matches will give you power-ups on the board which are color specific such as Super Shells, Directional Bombs or Color Coded Flower bombs. Boosters are added as you progress such as +5 to add 5 additional moves, or a Trowel to remove an obstacle or tile of your choice. After every third level, you can search for a Hidden Object as shown as a quest, somewhere on the Level Map, at first the objects are obvious, but become increasingly more difficult to locate. I really didn't see anything new added to this Match 3 sequel to Pretty Snails, except for the computer freeze feature. If you don't mind a Limited Moves type Match 3 game, and you can get it to work in it's entirety, it may be a good family game, but after playing the first version, this one just seems like a repeat to me.
