Fatal Evidence: The Cursed Island is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Murder Mystery I haven't finished the game yet but I want to add my recommendation. As another reviewer has given you all the details, I just want to say that they are right on. The puzzles are great and so are the hidden objects -- very clever. This developer does not disappoint!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome game!!! Clearly someone worked very hard on this! We loved it!!!! The graphics are beautiful. The hidden object puzzles were appropriately challenging and the storyline was clever yet easy to follow. The puzzles great (some of the them were hard!!) . We kind of fell into a binge this week and have played 6 games - this is definitely my favorite. :) One last thing ..... we skipped buying the CE game as we didn't think we'd want the extras.....now I wish we had. I think it's definitely worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE BEGINNING OF A NEW SERIES AND A TERRIFIC MYSTERY GAME What could be better than a terrific murder mystery? The answer is, IMHO, nothing beats not only a mystery game but the kick-off to a new series. Since playing the beta for Fatal Evidence The Cursed Island earlier this week, I had no doubt that I would purchase the game as soon as it was released. Domini Games has done such a great job with this game not only creating an excellent storyline but with the graphics that, although rich in color have been toned down from some of the intense purples and neon greens. As much as I dislike gimmicks in HOPA games, I must admit that I am enjoying the puzzles that activate use of the watch that was left to you following Judge McGregor’s death. Speaking of Puzzles, even though I am not a huge fan, I have found that the ones in Fatal Evidence are some of the best that I have seen in recent HOPA games. Although I have seen variations of some of the puzzles previously many of them appear to be new. Because the puzzles or mini-games are so creative, it doesn’t bother me that there are almost twice as many as HOS. The HOS are far between but they too are very creative and vary in style. I particularly enjoyed the first HOS that had me changing the lamp’s lighting to find the various items. The other HOS were just as entertaining with some of them using that same mechanic where we find items in different screens or photos. Overall this is one of the best games that I’ve played this year. Hopefully, Domini Games or other developers will create more games based on mystery than on the evil entity storylines. Fatal Evidence The Cursed Island is a wonderful mystery game where you will need to stop a crazed killer in his or her tracks as you try to figure out who it was that really killed Judge McGregor. Even though this is one of the best games I have played, as always I recommend that you try the demo to see if you will enjoy The Cursed Island as well. Happy gaming!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Finally.. No Ghosts or Goblins This is posted after playing the entire game. The reason I bought this game, was not that it was an excellent game with outstanding quality, but simply because it wasn't a ghost story. As I look at all the offerings the overwhelming number are about spirits and this is a good old fashion murder mystery. My hope is that enough people purchase this game to sent a message to the developers that many of us are tired of the supernatural genre. This game was fun to play and seem to be pretty long. I wish I had kept track of the time, but I didn't. It was long enough for me to play all afternoon on a hot Florida day. Graphics were very well done and the effects went along with the action in the scene. There were some problems with the voice overs in that the sound didn't keep up with the lip movement, but other than that it was very good. The music wasn't intrusive and added to the action. There seemed to be an over abundance of mini games. It may be because I do not like mini games, but it seemed like about every scene had one. There wasn't much new in the mini games. I think I've seen most all of them in some shape or form before. I played in the custom mode so the skip came up really fast. I did enjoy the varying hidden object games. There were all types and most were pretty challenging. I hate to admit it, but I had to use the hint a few times. Others will go into the story in depth so I'll not bore you with mine. It was a good story. I love mysteries anyway and this one was one of the better I've seen in a long time. I hope all the developers take note and follow the lead of this one. As always, play the demo. I think you will find you will like this game too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Evil-dence Ok game. Was a little hard for me to follow the game story, maybe to many twists? Graphics were very good along with the voice acting. Used the hint button more than I usually do since I was not to sure what to do with some of the items I found. I used my free game on it since it expired the day I used it so can't complain to much since I didn't pay for it . It did keep me entertained for a time but I don't know just didn't float my boat I guess. Play the free trial game all the way through to see if you like it,

Rated 3 out of 5 by from FATAL EVIDENCE~FATAL GADGET Completed Game just over 5.0 hours (including CE Bonus Chapter & all mini-games) Judge McGregor has quite a reputation for serving justice and putting criminals behind bars. That reputation has also made the honorable judge a target of revenge, and he predicted his own death! The bequeathed have all gathered for the reading of the Judges' Last Will and Testament at the McGregor Manor, little do they know, one amongst them is the murderer, but who, and what will happen to them once they are Judged? At first, I was impressed that this new series was going to be a normal who-dun-it murder mystery. I was mostly impressed that Domini had spread their wings to add an entirely new genre, one that didn't involve supernatural Glasses (or more recently an otherworldly cell phone app) men with 12 arms, someone with a dual personality (think about it...) or a parallel universe vigilante who "seeks all" I thought it was going to be a good old-fashioned crime-solving drama, but nope, they just had to go there. They couldn't resist adding a supernatural Gadget which took away all credibility, a Watch that reveals what others are hiding, aka a cutscene. Couldn't they have chosen a portable Lie-Detector instead? Wouldn't that be more believable in a who-dun-it murder mystery? The Watch Gadget is used 6 times on 6 suspects and you have to complete 6 different game variations that are 'watch' related (and actually decent games) After solving the mini-games and watching a short clip of the suspects encounter with the Judge, you have to choose the Lie from a list of 3 of the suspects statements. There are 12 Main and 2 Zoom Zone Hidden Object Scenes (+5 in the CE BC) They are mostly Silhouetted Shape Finds but there are Keywords in Sentence Finds, Combination Silhouetted Shape Finds (SS+SS=_) Multiples Finds, Spot The Differences, Swatches Finds (find the area that matches a swatch image) Matching Pairs, and Interactive List Finds as well. The CE also offers an alternate Match 3 game available, and one of the CE achievements is to play the alternate game in place of 1 Hidden Object scene. There are a whopping 40 Mini-Games (+10 in the CE BC) including the repetitive 2 mini-games each time you use the Watch of Truth. The Watch game varies each time, but it is always followed by the same conclusion game of choosing the "lie" on the list of 3 possible answers. Most of the mini-games have an Easy/Hard difficulty option. Below are brief descriptions of some of my personal favorite games: 1~Use rotation & directional buttons to swap flower petals until all flowers are complete. ? 2~Place pipe sections onto clock face to swap icons to their matching slots. 3~Swap square tiles to complete the picture, click the frame button to switch between available tiles. ?? 4~Position the lockpick to swap teeth so the inner sections match the outer sections. ? 5~Rotate the maze to drop the ball into the hole using squares as bumpers to keep the ball from falling off. The Collector's Edition Bonus Chapter is a new who-dun-it murder to solve when Agatha Smith's husband Chuck is accused of murdering Dr. Sharon Jones while working on a revolutionary breakthrough drug. This is an extremely long Bonus Chapter that takes place over 10 new Locations with an additional 10 Mini-Games and 5 Hidden Object Scenes. You will collect the final 3 Evidence items, 5 Morphing Suspect Photos, and 9 Coins which allows you to purchase the final 3 Office items. The Collector's Edition version has 10 Wallpapers (only 2 w/0 characters) 10 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Music Soundtrack, 29 Replayable Movie Video Cutscenes, 33 Achievements, 18 Replayable Mini-Games, 17 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 13 Morphing Suspect Photos, 14 Evidence Items, 44 Zoom Zone Coins to purchase 15 Office Items, 12 Missing Journal Notes, 5 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a Built-in Strategy Guide.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from PUZZLE... AFTER PUZZLE... AFTER PUZZLE... AFTER PUZZLE Most of the time was spent with puzzles.....one right after another. I no sooner get done with one or skipping one and then there is another. Then there was a spot the difference with no skip, although there was an alternative for Match 3 which I did...just another puzzle to me. Story was interesting and graphics were nice. I liked a couple of the HOS, but that was it. I DO NOT want to spend all of my game time with puzzles or skipping them. I want to enjoy more HOS and story. This is a puzzle game. BYE.
